BLESSED ASSURANCE

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!

O what a foretaste of glory divine!

Heir of salvation, purchase of God,

Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

This is my story, this is my song,

Praising my Savior all the day long;

This is my story, this is my song,

Praising my Savior all the day long.

Father, we thank Thee for the assurance we have in You that when we call, You answer. Thank You O Lord for being the God of the helpless, widows and the orphans. Thank You for the lifting of our eyes unto You brings deliverance, healing, provisions, protections, successes, opening of strange doors and uncountable blessings in the life of your beloved ones. We say Thank You Lord.

Beloved, what a beautiful way to encounter our Saviour this day. He is a God Answering prayer. We must endeavor to pray a prayer that must be answered and not stored up except where we are prayer for future expectations.

Beloved, if you have notice the trend in our ministration, Thursdays is devoted to faith building message to steady assures us of the goodness and love of our Everlasting Father.

Our faith must not be leave to chances or it will be chance away by heavier storms that may stagger us, so we are enjoin to make a deliberate effort in building our faith up by studying the Word of God, books from our generals who had encountered God at various level higher than we do.

We also build our faith by hearing the testimony of fellow brethren, who also have experience the finger of God in their lives. (Rev 12:11). Why are encourage to listen to genuine testimonies is because God like repeating His wonders in the lives of his children, those who calleth on Him in truth and Spirit (Eccl 3:14-15).

Also note that our faith must always be backed up with works. (Physical work and righteous work- praying for other brethren, giving alms and being a blessing in your brethren lives). Works like these are not neglected before God, they speaks for you. How some want to know. Read Ps 41:1-3; 2 Chr 25:9. Therefore be encouraged that no labour of love done under God’s Name is in vain. He is also a reward of those who diligently seek Him. How? By Faith- (Heb 11:6). God is displease with a wavering faith (Jas 1:5-6).

Therefore brethren let us then come with confidence before the throne of grace this day and reassured of the Faithfulness of God, Who can do all things, for He is able and God’s ability is in diverse ways as you can read in the following books of the bible (Dan 2: 47; 3: 29; 6:20; Matt 3:9; 2 Tim 1:12; Heb 7:25; 11:19; Jas 4:12).

 His promises are yea and amen (2Cor 1:20) and He will never fail you, leave you nor forsake you:

“He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Heb. 13:5

Several times in the Scriptures the Lord hath said this. He has often repeated it, to make our assurance doubly sure. Let us never harbor a doubt of it. In itself the promise is specially emphatic. In the Greek it has five negatives, each one definitely shutting out the possibility of the Lord’s ever leaving one of His people so that he can justly feel forsaken of his God.

 This priceless Scripture does not promise us exemption from trouble, but it does secure us against desertion. We may be called to traverse strange ways, but we shall always have our Lord’s company, assistance, and provision. We need not covet money, for we shall always have our God, and God is better than gold, His favor is better than fortune.

We ought surely to be content with such things as we have, for he who has God has more than all the world besides. What can we have beyond the Infinite? What more can we desire than Almighty Goodness.

Come, my heart; if God says He will never leave thee, nor forsake thee, be thou much in prayer for grace, that thou mayest never leave thy Lord, nor even for a moment forsake His ways.

As we starting off a new year, come believing that God is ABLE and you will be blessed. Can we like Paul declare to follow God all the way no matter what happens, to lay hold of the faith that is in Christ Jesus with everything in you until help come from God:

“The life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God.” Galatians 2:20

When the Lord in mercy passed by and saw us in our blood, He first of all said, “Live”; and this He did first, because life is one of the absolutely essential things in spiritual matters, and until it be bestowed we are incapable of partaking in the things of the kingdom.

Now the life which grace confers upon the saints at the moment of their quickening is none other than the life of Christ, which, like the sap from the stem, runs into us, the branches, and establishes a living connection between our souls and Jesus. Faith is the grace which perceives this union, having proceeded from it as its firstfruit. It is the neck which joins the body of the Church to its all-glorious Head.

“Oh Faith! thou bond of union with the Lord,

Is not this office thine? and thy fit name,

In the economy of gospel types,

And symbols apposite—the Church’s neck;

Identifying her in will and work

With Him ascended?”

Faith lays hold upon the Lord Jesus with a firm and determined grasp. She knows His excellence and worth, and no temptation can induce her to repose her trust elsewhere; and Christ Jesus is so delighted with this heavenly grace, that He never ceases to strengthen and sustain her by the loving embrace and all-sufficient support of His eternal arms.

 Here, then, is established a living, sensible, and delightful union which casts forth streams of love, confidence, sympathy, complacency, and joy, whereof both the bride and bridegroom love to drink. When the soul can evidently perceive this oneness between itself and Christ, the pulse may be felt as beating for both, and the one blood as flowing through the veins of each.

Then is the heart as near heaven as it can be on earth, and is prepared for the enjoyment of the most sublime and spiritual kind of fellowship.

 Is that your earnest desire, God is ABLE to make it come to past. Just be faithful,  I will add also be “STILL” and see the hand of God having seen His finger. Do not fret!

Continue with the song:

BLESSED ASSURANCE

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!

O what a foretaste of glory divine!

Heir of salvation, purchase of God,

Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

This is my story, this is my song,

Praising my Savior all the day long;

This is my story, this is my song,

Praising my Savior all the day long.

Perfect submission, perfect delight!

Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;

Angels descending bring from above

Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

Perfect submission—all is at rest,

I in my Savior am happy and blest;

Watching and waiting, looking above,

Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
