Ancient of Days, how old are you? how old are You now, You will never change, Ancient of Days how old are You now, How old are You now, You will never change. // Lord You are Faithful, faithful, faithful, faithful, faithful, faithful, faithful, faithful are You Lord, Lord You are faithful, faithful, faithful, faithful, faithful, faithful, faithful, faithful You are Lord.

How Excellent are You Lord. You are Great, You Mighty, Wonderful is Your Name. Gracious Father, we bow before You, we give You Praise for You love. Who is like Thee? I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. 2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. 3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. 4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. 5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me. 6 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. 7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth. 8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it. Psalms 18:1-8 (KJV)

Beloved, that is the God we serve. Ever Dependable, Ever Gracious, Eternity is His Name A blast from His nostrils kindles fire. Little wonder when Elijah come Him down as fire He came down and licked up everything on the sacrifices, water inclusive. Praise the Lord? (1King 18:24- 39).

Beloved, to call down the God of Father one thing is demanded of us – Purity/ holiness. Are you purified? Are you holy before the God of Wonder? The topic before us will help us greatly to understand what is expected of us to be called true children of God because without holiness you can serve Him effectively (1Pet 1:16; 2Pet 3:11). Praise God.

God has a standard for His children and will never compromise it no matter what be it. Any you in any way compromising yourself in Christ Jesus? Or is possible you don’t understand what am saying? Then come along for better understanding:

To the pure, everything is pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; in fact, both their mind and conscience are defiled.—Titus 1:15

Your heart’s condition will be expressed through your life. It will be evident by your attitudes, your words, and your behavior. Jesus said that you can clearly see others only when your own eyes are unobstructed (Mark 6:42). If your vision is hindered by sin, you will not look at others properly.

If your heart is pure, you will approach life without malice. You will not question the motives of everyone around you; you will not doubt the truth of everything others tell you; you will not look for fault in others. Instead, you will look for the good in others, finding what is praiseworthy. You will not be naive or gullible, but you will seek what is good rather than what is evil. If your heart is pure, you will see others the way God sees them (Matt. 6:22).

If your heart is defiled, everything with which you are involved will seem corrupt as well. You will assume evil motives in others because you know what you would do given the same circumstances. You will be cynical about what you hear because your own words are deceitful. You will be drawn to evil people and evil things.

How do you look at the words and actions of others? Are you critical of them? Are you judgmental? If so, ask God to purify your heart. Once He has, you will be free to see yourself and others as God does.

Is it clearer? Below are check points to test your state of purity/ holiness. Let’s get going:

Seven Marks Of True Spirituality

  1. The desire to be holy rather than happy

I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.” (Philippians 4:8)

  1. The desire to see the honor of God advanced through our life even if it means suffering temporary dishonor or loss

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-10)

  1. The desire to carry our cross

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of Gods grace.” (Acts 20:24)

  1. The desire to see everything from God’s point of view

“We are asking God that you may see things, as it were, from His point of view by being given spiritual insight and understanding.” (Colossians 1:9 – Phillips Translation)

  1. The desire to die right rather than to live wrong

“Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king. But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.‘” (Daniel 3:16-18)

  1. The desire to see others advance at our expense

“For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus sake.” (2 Corinthians 4:5)

  1. The practice of habitually making eternity-judgments instead of time-judgments

“We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Having gone through the check points how far are you doing in the school of Purity?  Did you discover that when you have the interest of others at heart you living a Holy life. May God help us to run a race that we will receive a “well done” by our God at the end.

Stay Pure as nothing unholy will enter into the Kingdom of God. (Rev 21:8)

Remain blessed in the Lord.
