Come let praise the Lord (come let praise the Lord), He is Jehovah…// I will lift up voice, I will joyfully sing not for what He has done but for who He is. You are the song that I sing, melody in heart the reason I sing, is to praise Your Name 2x. He reign, He reign, Jesus reign forever more.

Father, we Thank You for Your faithfulness that endureth forever. You are good and everything written about You is great. Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalms 103:1-5 (KJV)

O my God, I cannot thank You enough, thank You forgiving all my sins and healing all my diseases, You indeed redeemed our life from destruction and satisfy my mouth with good things.

Beloveth, our God is too much and all His promises are yea and Amen. Had He said it, He yet do it. For He is not a man that He should lie, neither the son of man, that He should repent. Beloved hath He said, and will He not do it? or hath He spoken, and will He not make it good (Num 23:19).

Beloved, laying hold to the theme text, we are charge to take up all the armour of God. We are encouraged not to be slothful but through faith and patient (waiting) inherit the promises. Our Father did not stop at His promise He also sware an oath by Himself to bring to past His promises to you (Eph 4:13-24; Heb 6:12-15; Heb 11:6).

Now beloved you have a part to play here and what is that part? Your role/part to play is to have faith. But without faith it is impossible to please Him; for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

Faith rests on believe. Do you believe in God? Do you believe in His Son Jesus Christ? Do you believe in the Holy Spirit? If you do, do you believe that God promises to you will be done according to His Word resting on your faith on the promise?

According Heb 11:1 faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen. It means therefore that faith gives substance to things hope for. You see, hope doesn’t have any substance. But faith gives substance to those things You are hoping for. In other words, what God is saying here is that faith is taking hold of the unseen realm of hope, and bringing it into the realm of reality.

Faith, we know, grows out of the Word of God, for Romans 10:17 says, ‘so then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”  this text showcase ‘faith’  as an evidence of things not seen.

By the way of illustration, you might hope for finances to meet a particular obligation, but faith gives you the assurance that you will have the money when you need it. Also, you might hope for physical strength to do a job or a task set before you, but faith says, “… the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Ps 27:1). In other words, faith says the same thing the Word of God says.

Unbelief is really taking sides against God’s Word. The sad thing about it is, there are so many believers who are talking  doubt and unbelief, and who are taking sides against the Word of God. Then the same believers wonder why God’s Word doesn’t work for them.

God’s Word won’t work for you if you take sides against it. If you want God’s Word to work for you, you must side with it.

But what is faith- real bible faith? One of the best way find out what something is, is to find out what it isn’t. Then when You find out what it isn’t, You can see more clearly what faith is not. Let’s fellow that approach in these lesson on the subject of faith.

Faith is not hope. So when pray and hope, you are deferring your answers. that is as long as you are only hoping, you won’t receive from God because you receive from God by faith, not by hope.’’

Some other will say, I want God I want to be healed’ in order to show them that wanting something is different from God isn’t enough, look at this example You might want a new Cadillac, but that doesn’t mean You are going to get one. so if just wanting something from God was all it took to receive from God, we will be made. We will receive instantly.

But faith that receive from God isn’t hoping or wanting. But the faith that gets the job is the bible-kind of faith which believes God and acts on what  it believes. Read Mk 11:24 and Matt 21:22.  These bible verses did not say …whatever You ask for in prayer hoping, You shall receive.

Once again note that hope is in the future while faith is ‘now. faith is presence. Hope is future tense.

Faith for salvation, not hope- (Eph 2:8; Jn 6:37; Rom 10:13; 9-10.

When it comes to healing, let consider Matt 8:17. sometimes people say doesn’t the word of God say ‘… Himself TOOK our infirmities, and BARE our sickness.’ Isn’t that a promise?”

No, it isn’t a promise that is a statement of fact that simply tells us something that has already happened. Many times we call those scripture and others like them promises, but actually, they are statement of facts. They are telling us of or provisions in Christ- that Jesus has already provided for us. That is a fact. We stop here to continue later.

In today’s message we will see faith is an action and not sitting and wanting or hoping. Let get going:

“And when they could not come nigh unto Him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.” Mark 2:4

Faith is full of inventions. The house was full, a crowd blocked up the door, but faith found a way of getting at the Lord and placing the palsied man before Him. If we cannot get sinners where Jesus is by ordinary methods we must use extraordinary ones. It seems, according to Luke 5:19, that a tiling had to be removed, which would make dust and cause a measure of danger to those below, but where the case is very urgent we must not mind running some risks and shocking some proprieties.

Jesus was there to heal, and therefore fall what might, faith ventured all so that her poor paralyzed charge might have his sins forgiven. O that we had more daring faith among us! Cannot we, dear reader, seek it this morning for ourselves and for our fellow-workers, and will we not try today to perform some gallant act for the love of souls and the glory of the Lord.

The world is constantly inventing; genius serves all the purposes of human desire: cannot faith invent too, and reach by some new means the outcasts who lie perishing around us? It was the presence of Jesus which excited victorious courage in the four bearers of the palsied man: is not the Lord among us now?

Have we seen His face for ourselves this morning? Have we felt His healing power in our own souls? If so, then through door, through window, or through roof, let us, breaking through all impediments, labour to bring poor souls to Jesus. All means are good and decorous when faith and love are truly set on winning souls.

If hunger for bread can break through stone walls, surely hunger for souls is not to be hindered in its efforts. O Lord, make us quick to suggest methods of reaching Thy poor sin-sick ones, and bold to carry them out at all hazards.

Jesus took away my infirmities and bare my sins away. Is not enough to know is important you also apply it. When you are with Jesus, You are secure. Nothing is permitted to alarm you. Nothing will be bold enough to startle you. if You don’t even know what to do like Moses stand still and see the salvation of the Lord (that is waiting on God). Keep going:

“There were also with Him other little ships.” Mark 4:36

Jesus was the Lord High Admiral of the sea that night, and His presence preserved the whole convoy. It is well to sail with Jesus, even though it be in a little ship. When we sail in Christ’s company, we may not make sure of fair weather, for great storms may toss the vessel which carries the Lord Himself, and we must not expect to find the sea less boisterous around our little boat.

If we go with Jesus we must be content to fare as He fares; and when the waves are rough to Him, they will be rough to us. It is by tempest and tossing that we shall come to land, as He did before us. When the storm swept over Galilee’s dark lake all faces gathered blackness, and all hearts dreaded shipwreck.

When all creature help was useless, the slumbering Saviour arose, and with a word, transformed the riot of the tempest into the deep quiet of a calm; then were the little vessels at rest as well as that which carried the Lord. Jesus is the star of the sea; and though there be sorrow upon the sea, when Jesus is on it there is joy too.

May our hearts make Jesus their anchor, their rudder, their lighthouse, their life-boat, and their harbour. His Church is the Admiral’s flagship, let us attend her movements, and cheer her officers with our presence. He Himself is the great attraction; let us follow ever in His wake, mark His signals, steer by His chart, and never fear while He is within hail. Not one ship in the convoy shall suffer wreck; the great Commodore will steer every barque in safety to the desired haven.

By faith we will slip our cable for another day’s cruise, and sail forth with Jesus into a sea of tribulation. Winds and waves will not spare us, but they all obey Him; and, therefore, whatever squalls may occur without, faith shall feel a blessed calm within. He is ever in the centre of the weather-beaten company: let us rejoice in Him. His vessel has reached the haven, and so shall ours.

Beloved, God is not slack concerning His promise (2Pet 3:9) for the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the diving asunder of soul and Spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Heb 4:12).

Live in the present and receive answers to your prayers in Jesus Name. faith is full of invention, which invention are making to move into the realm of answers to your prayer knowing that faith is action.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
