Come and see what the Lord has done for me… He has taken away my sorrow and I am healed… Agam buru alleluia buru… Agam para alleluia para… because of Jesus everyday na shakara I dey do… double double heavenly blessing na Him I dey receive eheheh eeeeh God Your goodness and mercy always the follow me….
O! Lord show me mercy!… If you are the one crying this before the altar of the Lord this morning… The Lord is saying “I will show you mercy… I will make Name for myself on your behalf… The world will come to know me through what I will do in your life.. I will display my glory again on your behalf and everyone that hears it… every eyes that sees it will know that I Am has done this… Praise the Name of the Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beloveth good morning… how are doing today… today is another prayer meeting… Our God will arise and show us mercy… as we call upon His Name … He will lift up our head and wipe away our tears… The Lord that answereth by fire will open rivers in the high places and we will drink from it… He will send help to us in the hour of our needs … He will give us rest for our toiling… peace in our storm… the Hand of the Lord will do this and many more as we pray in Jesus Name!!!
Today’s topic is asking us a question…. Are You following Jesus Christ For The Right Reasons? This means that for some reasons…. Many might be following Jesus for wrong reasons…
Beloveth, if you are to comment on today’s topic what will you say… looks like a tough one… we saw some people came to Jesus and Jesus pointed to them that they came to Him not to listen to the Word of life but to eat bread… having feed them a day before…
Beloveth so why are you following Jesus? Is because of miracles He wrought or the bills He pay? Is because He puts food on your table or because of safety you think He provides…. I want you to search your heart and speak the truth to yourself why you are following Jesus… and as you do beloveth… The Lord who knows the heart of every man will come through for you in that condition or situations you are seeking His help Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!…
Come let’s consider what we have below and compare it with our reasons so far:
Are You Following Jesus Christ For The Right Reasons?
If your motives in pursuing the Master are for anything less than a desire for intimacy with Him, you are sadly on the wrong track:
“Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life.” (John 6:53, 54)
It is a mystery as to exactly what Jesus meant here. At the very least He conveyed the idea of total involvement with Him at the most intimate level.
A little steep? He meant it that way: “As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were no longer walking with Him.” (John 6:66)
The Gospels communicate at least four wrong reasons as to why people followed Jesus:
- Curiosity over His miracles
“And a great multitude was following Him, because they were seeing the signs which He was performing on those who were sick.” (John 6:2) (Also: Luke 9:9; 23:8; John 2:23-25)
- The Material benefits
“Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me… because you ate of the loaves, and were filled.” (John 6:26)
- The Political benefits
“Jesus therefore perceiving that they were intending to come and take Him by force, to make Him king, withdrew… ” (John 6:15a) (Also: Luke 24:21)
- Status
“Grant that we may sit in your glory, one on Your right, and one on Your left.” (Mark 10:37) (Also: Mark 9:31-37)
We need to search our hearts as to why we profess allegiance to Him. If our motives are ulterior, we solicit His rejection:
“Jesus… was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men… for He Himself knew what was in man.” (John 2:24, 25).
Beloveth… time to compare notes ….. are reasons for seeking to be with Master Jesus right or lopsided to miracles and material etc as mentioned above…
Beloveth is not too late to make amend… begin now to seek Jesus in the right and balance way… and as you do… Your eyes of understanding will open and your cup will over flow with more blessings…
Our Father no man can come to You except the one Whom You have shown mercy…. O Lord let Your mercy locate that one that is asking for Your mercy to overcome…. Let grace upon grace be release for such one who is looking up to You for deliverance and salvation… O Lord let Your Eye locate that one who is fainting in the spirit and grant him/her the desire help in Jesus Name…
O Lord! You are a strong Tower; the righteous runneth into you and are safe… Arise O Lord let Your mercy speak for us… restore to us all that the enemy has stolen for us and rest our head in Your bosom in Jesus Name….. we ask and we believe that there is nothing too difficult for you to do…..
Beloveth pray with so much expectation for I see the Lord come through for you in Jesus Name…
