Heaven came down and glory shone around. O! God of heaven and earth, we are grateful to You for all you have done for us. Thank You for the gift of life, peace and joy you have bestowed unto us. Thank you for deliverances and healings that comes from Thee.
You have the power to make whole and restore unto Your children. All power in heaven and all earth belongs to You, Lord. Blessed be to Your Name Alone.
Beloved, how was your weekend? Hope splendid. Some of our churches celebrated our “mothers” yesterday and some others will be coming up next Sunday. To all the mothers in world, we say “Happy Mothers celebration”. You know the celebrations is every day because your job is an unending one. So keep it up and may the good Lord bless and honour every of our mothers in Jesus Name.
Beloved, we rounded off our devotional last week with “Life with the Shepherd”. This week, we will be starting off with a message titled “Comfort from the Shepherd”. The plan of God concerning us is of good not of evil, but the devil twist the plan and one begin to not only imagine but wonder where is God?
The man possessed by the evil spirit (Mk 5:2; Lk 8:27) was delivered by Jesus by His compassion. Reading the account of this man will make you feel pitied for him. Howling and cutting himself with sharp stones. No one or group could over power him but when he met Jesus, the tormenting demons cried out of him and Jesus cast them out.
He was free and calmness came over him, the villages came to see and wondered what manner of man Jesus is, unfortunately like many of us, they pleaded with Jesus to go away from them. But the man who had be delivered of evil spirit begged to go with Jesus but He told him to go back to his family and tell them everything the Lord has done for you.
Worthy of note here is the power and compassionate nature of Christ and what God expect of us each time He delivers us from or blesses us. He want us “go tell others”.
His comfort surpasses all wealth and material possession. Today, you experience His goodness and mercies in very unique way. More from the message below:
Even when I go through the darkest valley,
I fear [no] danger,
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff—they comfort me.—Psalm 23:4
As a child of God you are never alone! Your Shepherd is with you at all times. You never have to call Him in to your situation. You never have to wonder where He is. You never have to fear that if things become too difficult, He will abandon you. He goes before you; He walks beside you; He comes behind you. He protects you securely. Just as He sees every sparrow and knows every hair that is on your head, so His gaze is constantly upon you (Luke 12:6–7).
Even when you cannot see Him, He always keeps His eyes upon you. He comforts you with His strong presence in times of sorrow and grief. He leads you through the valley of the shadow of death. He does not necessarily lead you around the valley as you might wish. There are times when your Shepherd knows that the only way to get you where He wants to take you is to lead you down the path that passes through the dark valley. Yet, at those times He walks closely with you, reassuring you throughout the journey that He still loves you and is with you. It is during those times that you experience His love and compassion in a deeper dimension than you ever have before.
You never need to fear evil. As intimidating as evil can be, there is nothing you will ever face that intimidates your Shepherd. He has seen it all and soundly defeated every form of wickedness. Evil never catches Him by surprise. Your Shepherd is always prepared and knows exactly when and where you will experience difficulty. Place your absolute trust in your Good Shepherd that He will protect you and demonstrate His love for you through the darkest valley.
The demons obeys Him and they tremble at His sight (Matt 8:28). Beloved, what lies have been believing before now. Jesus can set you free, just at the mention of His Name, “in the power of His Might” you are free; you are delivered. Trust His Holy Name.
I don’t know what you are believing God for, what has God delivered into your hand to birth forth and the enemy is hindering you and making it difficult, today the Lord by His Might power will bring it forth. That God given vision must be birthed whether the devil likes it or not.
There may be some hindrances to strengthen you but note it will not hinder you rather it will make you stronger in Jesus Name. Read more of it below:
The Birth Of A Vision
“God gives us the vision, then He takes us down to the valley to batter us into the shape of the vision; and it is in the valley that so many of us faint and give way.” (Oswald Chambers)
God is allowing the testing… the battering, to mold our character into His:
“Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.
“Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.
“But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.” (James 1:2-4 – Amplified)
Observe the birthing of a calf, or the metamorphose of a moth into a butterfly. Painful. “Battering.”
The temptation is to intervene and stop the uneasy proceeding. But we need to understand God’s battering “process” and allow it to go on to completion.
Beauty and maturity often emerge from pain:
“Let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work. So that you may be people perfectly and fully developed with no defects, lacking in nothing.“
This is God’s school in preparing you, the visionary to carry out the vision. In God’s school there are no shortcuts. The process produces the product.
So, fellow pilgrim, in your valley, don’t faint and give way until He completes His task in you So that you bring forth.
The grace to stand against all the faring darts of the devil we receive now in Jesus Name. Today is Monday as the Lord takes you through the valley, may He grant you grace to endure and bring forth in Jesus Name.
Beloved, this week is committed into the hands of the Most High God and is declared blessed in Jesus Name. Every evil pronouncement over your life and destiny is cancelled now in Jesus Name. Go in the peace of Christ and return with testimonies in Jesus’s Name.
