Beloved, hope you prayed believing God that He will grant your answers according to His will and purpose in your life? Praise the Lord! Yes! He will answer and not delay because He is our Father as well as our God! Praise the Lord!

Our first teaching this week dwelt on “Damandingness in action” and we read about what “Damandingness” stands for, is not a virtue and shouldn’t be found in the lives of children of God. We must not insist it must be our own way, we ought to come to God requesting that His “Will” be done in our life. Again, on Wednesday, during our praying session dearly beloved, we saw it again trusting God to have our best interest at heart and believing in Him that He will do the best for us in every situation.

In Isa 59:19 the Word of God said that “when the enemy will come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” Did you read that, “the enemy shall first come in, and the Spirit of God shall than raise a standard against him.”

Is good we have a good understanding of Who God is and His nature. Don’t sit around and be asking “why me Lord” I tell you the Lord will echo back to you “who then.” God needs your trust in Him to bring about His works to humanity. So the stronger you stand on the Word the easier it for Him to show forth His glory! alleluia somebody!!!

However, we will be taking the teaching on “Damandingness” a bit further for an overview again, “Damandingness” is never the same with “faith.”

While “Damandingness” is insisting that God answers you exactly the way you want it “Faith” go a step further and say “God, I know You are aware of this, please I need your help, help me to your own glory”

Why some people are bitter towards God is because they fail to read the Word of God and stands on what the Word is saying rather they confess and profess what one pastor said to them. They claim promises that are  not meant for them or apply to their situations and at the end when it doesn’t happen the way the expected or have prayed about, they become bitter towards God and may fall out off faith but what they failed to understand is that either way, God remains God and He changeth not.

As we will read later in our teaching today, while demandingness insist on its own way; faith rely on God’s will to find expression. Beloved read in between the lines as you read the ministration below to end your frustration in the place of prayer and start gaining refreshment in God’s Presence. God allows certain situation in life to bring about His purpose in a man life.

I shared with us about the about happened to my baby last month, I trusted God that He will bring about His healing with or out medical attention and He did. I declared God boldly in that situation, when the pharmacist was chatting with me on whatsapp about when I will able to see the doctor since the next day is Sunday and the Monday following was a public holiday and is likely to be on Tuesday. I simply told her that my miracle will come before Tuesday.

I told her that Tuesday is too far for my miracle to come and since tomorrow is Sunday, I choose to go church first and “Tell Him” and I know that God will heal him. Did God healed him? Yes! God did before the end of Sunday around 5pm on Sunday the virus or whatever it is changed from red to black simply by praying and listening to what the Spirit of God has to say and obeying God’s instruction in that situation.

I never asked why me, though everybody was of the opinion that it was “an arrow,” I simply asked for “what” and by “whom”. The bigger story why it is good to wait on God in every situation we found ourselves is that, that same medication I used for my son God has been using it in healing several other conditions that has defy orthodox drugs of which I am also a beneficially imagine if I have not stand on the Word and trusted God for the finally verdict.

Beloved, there is no other saving grace or power aside God, remember what Isa 59;19 said “until the enemy came ;the Spirit of God did not rise a standard.” So be clam and wait on God, He knows the best thing to do in every situation, stop insisting on your own ways, be strong enough to leave it at the feet of Jesus and declare like the three Hebrew children “ we know that our is able to deliver us but if He chose not … but if not, be it known unto thee, O King, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which Thou has set up (Dan 3:17-18).

Beloved did God delivered them? Did He show up on their behalf? They simply declared God supremacy over the idol set up by the king and God brought their desires to pass, they did not threatened God, they even surrendered their lives to be burnt to death in case that is what is in the will of God for them at that moment and when they willingly surrendered their lives for the sake of the gospel, God intervene in their situation.

So let us always endeavour to read, study and meditate on the Word of God and it shall be well with us, we will grow in grace made available for our salvation and our faith will be sustained too. Praise the Lord! Come along for more:

Ezekiel 7:1-9:11, Psalm 119:169-176, Proverbs 27:14-16, Hebrews 10:32-11:12

Faith, Not Demandingness

Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.—Hebrews 11:1

I am frequently asked: “Doesn’t what you say about demandingness destroy the faith we ought to have when we approach God in prayer? Isn’t powerful praying the ability to insist on God giving us the things we know we ought to be receiving?”

There is a world of difference between “praying in faith” and demandingness. When we “pray in faith,” we have the assurance in our hearts that God wants to bring about a certain purpose for His own glory, whereupon faith reaches into heaven and pulls down the answer through fervent, believing prayer. Demandingness is another thing entirely—it insists on getting the answers that are in accord with its own desires rather than God’s purposes. It is an attempt to bring God in line with our will rather than bringing our wills in line with His will.

Dr. Francis Schaeffer, when advised that he was suffering from a terminal illness, became assured that his work on earth was finished and that soon he would leave this world and go to his heavenly home. Thousands of people prayed for his healing, and when he himself was asked why he did not claim the Bible’s promises concerning health and wholeness, he replied: “When I am in the presence of God, it seems uniquely unbecoming to demand anything.”

Some have interpreted these words as a lack of faith, but I think I understand what he meant. It is one thing to plead and pray with passion for something very personal; it is another to demand that the will of the Almighty be one with our own.

Prayer

Father, I see that the line between demandingness and faith is so fine that I can easily cross from one to the other without knowing it. Tune my spirit so that I will always be able to discern the difference between these two things. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Ps 143:1-10; Mt 12:50; Jms 4:1-15

What was the desire of the psalmist?

How does James put it?

Can it be said that a life of faith is a life of “surrender?” Yes! I think so, if we must be in God’s will, we must learn to surrender fully to God’s Will, Plan and Purposes,  and in so doing, His Name alone will be glorified- that is faith.

Be calm, God has vow that He will do you good and not evil, make sure you are in His Will always. He will remember and not forget you. He will! Keep trusting, keep believing and it shall be well with you (Jas 5:15).

Yes! because He is our God and our Father, Praise the Lord if you are going about satisfying the desires of your children I believe God will do more for you. Hang on there till help comes. Remember that it is a relationship that flows from you to God that gives you the strength to keep holding on to Him therefore make sure that you keep the relationship going through fervent prayer, reading the Word of God and trusting Him to bring about His plan for you to pass and belong you have it delivered to you, Praise the Lord.

Remain blessed in the Lord
