Beloved, is prayer time! Are you ready to pray? Prayer is a necessity in life, is not optional, but if you wish to run without prayer first ask a mechanic what happens to cars that run without enough oil talk less of no oil at all.

Our body can be liken to automobiles when it over used it reacts, so when drive Your body with less prayermins (vitamins), it will start showing some signs indicating that all is not well, however continue use will break down the systems and that is what happens when someone take ill without showing sign of recovery or becoming worst other than recovering and bouncing back to health.

Today’s teachings is bringing to us a woman of great faith who did not invent anything in the stage of arts technique but heaven acknowledges her by her faithfulness through fasting and prayers.

Our God specializes in blessing those who are faithful, diligent and pure in heart and all these qualifications are found in our bible character today. She wanted on the Lord to do that which only He will do and He did just that.

Last week Wednesday, we discussed some reasons why god may delay in answering some prayers. The lady in our text for the today was one of those who experienced delay in her prayer but however got answered before bowing out into eternity. Beloved our God is a God of purpose and He does everything with a reason.

Beloved, what have you been trusting God for and it seems to be taken eternity to be answered, I believe that you will greatly be encourage after going through the teaching of the day.

Continue in your diligent either at work, services, caring, prayers, God is seeing all and will truly be reward you. He will answer you. He will not fail you. Rend your heart and not your garment and you will see God in action.

Beloved, rend your heart and the mercy will flow from Throne unto You. Glory be to God.

There was also a prophetess, Anna, a daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was well along in years, having lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, and was a widow for 84 years. She did not leave the temple complex, serving God night and day with fastings and prayers.—Luke 2:36–37

Your faithfulness allows God to reveal greater insight to you than to the less faithful. Faithfulness brings opportunities to you that are not given to the unfaithful. God takes pleasure in answering prayers that come from a faithful heart.

Anna had been a widow for many years. In her day, a widow had little status in society and was virtually helpless on her own. Anna spent her time, day and night, in prayer and fasting in the temple. As she prayed, she yearned to see the Messiah. God chose few people to encounter the Savior when He was born, revealing His Son only to those whose hearts were faithful and pure. Anna was one of those few.

Jesus would later say to His followers, “Blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear . . . it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given” (Matt. 13:16, 11).

Anna continued faithfully in prayer until her prayer was answered. The answer to her prayers did not come immediately. In fact, it came near the end of her life. But God honored her faithfulness. God’s redemptive plan to send the Messiah included answering the prayers of a humble widow.

Faithful praying may mean a lifetime of waiting to receive an answer. God is looking for intercessors who are willing to continue to pray and to believe until they see God’s answer.

Beloved, rend your heart and not garments says the Word of Lord. Are ready to heed? Come along with me as we discover more:

“Rend your heart, and not your garments.” Joel 2:13

Garment-rendering and other outward signs of religious emotion, are easily manifested and are frequently hypocritical; but to feel true repentance is far more difficult, and consequently far less common. Men will attend to the most multiplied and minute ceremonial regulations—for such things are pleasing to the flesh—but true religion is too humbling, too heart-searching, too thorough for the tastes of the carnal men; they prefer something more ostentatious, flimsy, and worldly.

Outward observances are temporarily comfortable; eye and ear are pleased; self-conceit is fed, and self- righteousness is puffed up: but they are ultimately delusive, for in the article of death, and at the day of judgment, the soul needs something more substantial than ceremonies and rituals to lean upon. Apart from vital godliness all religion is utterly vain; offered without a sincere heart, every form of worship is a solemn sham and an impudent mockery of the majesty of heaven.

HEART-RENDING is divinely wrought and solemnly felt. It is a secret grief which is personally experienced, not in mere form, but as a deep, soul-moving work of the Holy Spirit upon the inmost heart of each believer. It is not a matter to be merely talked of and believed in, but keenly and sensitively felt in every living child of the living God.

It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud unhumbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.

The text commands us to rend our hearts, but they are naturally hard as marble: how, then, can this be done? We must take them to Calvary: a dying Saviour’s voice rent the rocks once, and it is as powerful now. O blessed Spirit, let us hear the death-cries of Jesus, and our hearts shall be rent even as men rend their vestures in the day of lamentation.

Beloved, let your heart be rend before God as you seek Him in Your prayers today. Pray for the perishing, pray for the lost, pray for those whose are perverse. Let your heart be rend before God as you seek him today and like Anna, Your eyes will behold the joy and salvation of the seasons in Jesus Name. Your prayers will receive answers in Jesus Name.

See you on the honorable side.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
