Thank You Father for the gift of this week, Your blessings and love, Your grace and enablement, Your Help and wisdom, be Thou glorify in Jesus Name.

Beloved, how are doing today? Hope you have great testimonies to share with us? Please go ahead as that will also strengthen many and keep their hope alive till God arises in their situation to do them good. Praise the Lord. God bless you.

By the grace of God, we are what we are, therefore we cannot undermine the hand of God upon our lives and situation. The gift of God is in measures no doubt but all still comes from above (I Cor 12:4-11). All these gifts as given by the Spirit of God is meant to build us up and the body of Christ and not to tear us apart but unfortunately that is not what we are seeing today.

Many wants to be adore in place of God, some wants worship that belongs to God because of what God embedded in them. Some uses their gift to scorn the less privilege around them while others refuse to acknowledge the Giver in their life. But we need to be careful as the Spirit of God will not be silent for long but will arise and defends the kingdom of God.

I will not want to limit the gift here to money or cash but rather whatever God has endowed us with better than someone besides us we ought to give freely. The truth is that the Source of all these are from God and therefore we must not treat it as it belong to us. Praise the Lord!

The statement in our theme text was made by Jesus because He knew the nature of man, covetousness is the nature of man and Jesus told his disciples to work according to instruction so that they will not hinder the flow of the Spirit of God amongst God’s children. Praise the Lord.

Jesus left His throne to do us good. He wants to be part of eternal life so he left the throne to save us. He came to preach gospels to the poor, he healed the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind to set at liberty them that are bruised. Beloved this is Jesus vision statement and to accomplish this vision He needs you and I.

The distribution of His gifts among His children is to help the actualization of this vision and that was why He made the statement in our topic text today. Praise the Lord.

As a member of the Lord’s army are you ready or willing to give His gifting in your life freely? The truth is that if you are, then God is going to make you a conduit pipe through which these gifts will flow to His children, then you will continually be a recipients of God’s blessings. wow! This is great.

Come along with me for more of it:

“Freely you have received, freely give.” Matthew 10:8b

There is no room for misers in God’s kingdom. When we begin to struggle in giving what we have to others, we have forgotten where we received our possessions. Every good thing we have ever received has come from God (James 1:17).

All that we have acquired has been dependent upon His grace (1 Cor. 4:7). Job accurately summarized our condition: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, / And naked shall I return there. / The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; / Blessed be the name of the Lord” (Job 1:21).

We easily assume a sense of ownership of our possessions, as if they were things we earned ourselves, thereby giving us a right to them. Jesus reminds us to be prepared to give our possessions as freely and joyfully as we received them. It should be a pleasure for us to give what we have to others (2 Cor. 9:7).

We ought to be a conduit through whom the Lord can pour His blessings, knowing we will disperse them to everyone around us. Sometimes we claim we are trying to be good stewards of our resources when actually we are being selfish.

If you struggle to give freely to others, you have become more attached to the gift than to the Giver. The account of the rich young ruler shows the tragedy of becoming too attached to worldly treasures (Luke 8:18–24).

Meditate on all that your Lord has given to you (John 3:16). Resolve to express your gratitude to Him through your giving.

Jesus was our chief example. Praise the Lord. let’s learn more from Him:

“A bruised reed shall He not break, and smoking flax shall He not quench.” Matthew 12:20

What is weaker than the bruised reed or the smoking flax? A reed that groweth in the fen or marsh, let but the wild duck light upon it, and it snaps; let but the foot of man brush against it, and it is bruised and broken; every wind that flits across the river moves it to and fro.

You can conceive of nothing more frail or brittle, or whose existence is more in jeopardy, than a bruised reed. Then look at the smoking flax—what is it? It has a spark within it, it is true, but it is almost smothered; an infant’s breath might blow it out; nothing has a more precarious existence than its flame. Weak things are here described, yet Jesus says of them, “The smoking flax I will not quench; the bruised reed I will not break.”

Some of God’s children are made strong to do mighty works for Him; God has His Samsons here and there who can pull up Gaza’s gates, and carry them to the top of the hill; He has a few mighties who are lion-like men, but the majority of His people are a timid, trembling race. They are like starlings, frightened at every passer by; a little fearful flock.

If temptation comes, they are taken like birds in a snare; if trial threatens, they are ready to faint; their frail skiff is tossed up and down by every wave, they are drifted along like a sea bird on the crest of the billows—weak things, without strength, without wisdom, without foresight. Yet, weak as they are, and because they are so weak, they have this promise made specially to them.

Herein is grace and graciousness! Herein is love and lovingkindness! How it opens to us the compassion of Jesus—so gentle, tender, considerate! We need never shrink back from His touch. We need never fear a harsh word from Him; though He might well chide us for our weakness, He rebuketh not. Bruised reeds shall have no blows from Him, and the smoking flax no damping frowns.

Wow! You can never go wrong when you steady abide in the love and command of Jesus. beloved, be ever willing to give freely as Jesus bestowed on you. Do not withdraw your hand when you are abundantly blessed of God. For the word have it that the giver hand is constantly on top. More so you are in partnership with God therefore you have unlimited access to His presence. Wow ! what a privilege not so common.

You are given to build God’s kingdom, be at haste for that demands of God’s work.

Have a nice weekend see you next week by God’s grace.
