Beloved, we have come again today to drink from the Living water, the fountain of life, Jesus Christ the Saviour of the whole world, Praise the Lord!
Beloved, as the year come to end there is need to remind us of the need to be spiritual alert, yes! we must be spiritual alert to be able the withstand the antics of the enemy especially at this time and to receive discernment from the Spirit of God to stay Holy.
Staying fresh keeps both plant and human alive. the word of God said that “only the living can Praise the Lord.” it means that you must be spiritual alert to catch this vision else you will not Praise God as the Lord commanded.
Fishes inhibits in fresh water, likewise human stay alive when they stay in clean and fresh environment but when you are spiritual dead it may be difficult to discern from God what His plan and purposes are for you.
What can keep you stale and prevent you from serving the Lord. Come along with us to discover more:
The Lamb … will guide them to springs of living waters, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.—Revelation 7:17
The idea for the theme of “staying spiritually fresh” arose out of a letter I received some time ago which said: “Over the past year or so, my Christian life has become stale—insufferably so. I have lost the freshness and spontaneity I once knew. Can you say something that will help bring back the sparkle into my Christian experience? What is the remedy?”
But can we expect always to live in a state of spiritual alertness and freshness? Isn’t that being unrealistically optimistic? Well, what does Scripture say? It shows us that the people of God are meant to be beautiful gardens in the midst of a dry desert. The prophet Isaiah puts it like this: “You will be like a watered garden and like a spring whose waters never run dry” (Isa 58:11).
In Ezekiel 47:8, Ezekiel says that the river flows into the sea and “the sea becomes fresh.” How thrilling! The river of God flowing into our dead seas turns them fresh. Whatever reasons there are for our lives becoming spiritually stale, it is quite clear from Scripture that they need not be so. God offers to exchange His strength daily for our weakness, His freshness for our staleness.
My Father and my God, I come at the beginning of these meditations to ask that You will make my life like a watered garden. Let Your fresh rivers run into my dead seas so that my whole being is revived—day after day after day. Amen.
What is the quality of the water that Christ gives?
How did Jesus describe it to the woman?
Beloved, we need you to stay fresh always as that is the only way and the best thing that can ever happen to a Christian, the book of John made us to understand that our freshness comes from abiding to the Vine – The vine is Jesus.
Beloved, are willing to stay spiritual fresh? Are you willing to abide to the vine? The secret of staying fresh and keeping fresh is to keep abiding to the Vine- Jesus.
If that is your heart desire then come along with us as we go through the week, Amen! On this note we declare the week open and we believe that by His grace we return at the end with testimonies in Jesus Name.
Remain blessed in the Lord
