Our Father we thank You for the privilege to come before your Throne of mercy to worship and adore Your Holy Name… Thank You Jesus… Thank You Father for You the Mighty Man in battle… Halleluiah!

Praise be the God Halleluiah! Praise be the God Halleluiah!  Halleluiah! Halleluiah! Halleluiah! Praise be to God!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes! We Praise the Name of the Lord for Him alone is worthy of our Praise… Thank You Father for making me what I am today… Thank You for manifesting Yourself strongly on our behalf… You are too much… Jehovah overdo is Your Name… glory alleluia to You Father… be Thou exalted forever and ever in Jesus Name…

The Lord is saying something great today… He honours those that honours Him… Do you honour God by the way you live? Do you honour Him in at your work place, business, family? He is interested in what you doing relationship with Him… yes with Him…

When God gives you wife/husband, children and maids and servants, how do you project God to them or before them? God was please with Abraham and see what He said concerning him “ For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him”… Gen 18:19.

Do God know you with an honesty report? Hummmmm… again we have another testimony in the Bible… for the one who God knew… … how can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? Gen 39:7-9,21-23.

Still another testimony in the Bible but this time a negative one…which is our text for today’s teaching… in verse 29b … “Why do you give sons more honour than you give me-….”

Beloveth… Eli warmed his sons no doubt… (vs.23-25)… but they did not heed… then come the big questions… what went wrong? How did Eli lost control over his sons… being a Priest why did the Bible said that “Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the Lord.(1 Sam2:12, KJV) while another version has this to say Now the sons of Eli were scoundrel who had no respect for the Lord (1 Sam2:12,NLT2).

God revert the blessings He pronounced upon his lineage to be named among priest for ever… and God honoured Abraham and gave a generational blessing and made (1 Sam 2:30, Gen 12:2-3).

Beloveth… God also honour His people through defense and protection from satan and his cohorts.

Here is this story and learn from it… the Word of God for His people will fall to the ground rather it must find fulfillment in that which the Lord has said …

Once, a husband tried to kill his own wife who loved the Lord so much. She appeared to be a hindrance for his indulgence in sinful pleasures. At last, he got some poison from a magician who told him, As soon as your wife drink this, evil spirits will follow her causing a kind of giddiness and in the end she will run out of the house like an insane woman.” So he went back home and forced his wife to drink it.

She firmly refused to touch it in spite of his terrible blows and beating. At last unable to stand it anymore, she took the cup in her hand and prayed, “Lord, I cannot bear this torment anymore; I am not afraid to die. But I don’t want to run on the streets like an insane woman. Show me your mercy, I must either die at once or this poison should become ineffective”, then she drank it without a trace of fear. The husband started to scream. Everything that he was expecting to see happen to his wife, happened to him.

Beloved, this is what happens to those who come against God’s people. No weapon formed against you will prosper. The devil can enter through tiny way. But he will be scattered in seven different directions. Nothing will ever harm those who have the Lord Almighty as their shelter. He will always honour those who honours Him but those who despise Him He will be disgraced.

Come along for more:

I will honor those who honor Me, but those who despise Me will be disgraced.—1 Samuel 2:30

One of the many truths of the kingdom of God is that if we will honor God, He will honor us. If, however, we dare to treat Him disrespectfully, we will also be treated as least in His kingdom. The initiative rests with us. Our response to God determines His response to us.

Eli had been the priest of Israel for many years, and he knew the standards for righteous living that God required. Yet Eli faced a dilemma, for his sons were living in direct opposition to God. As their father, Eli had to decide whom he would honor. He could not defer to his immoral and ungodly sons and also exalt the God he served. By default, Eli chose to honor his sons, for he did not insist that their behavior conform to God’s standards.

Eli would have pleaded that he still loved God but that he simply could not bring honor to God with his family. Yet God viewed Eli’s behavior differently (1 Sam. 3:13–14). Eli revealed his own heart when he failed to honor God before the people of Israel by the way he dealt with his sons. This is why God punished Eli and his sons severely (1 Sam. 4:17–18).

God is not pleased if you praise Him at church but not at your workplace. It is not acceptable for you to revere God when you are with other Christians but not in your school or neighborhood. He expects you to honor Him completely, with your words, with your actions, with your life. If you honor Him, He will honor you.

Beloveth… are you ready to honour God with your life, family and career… God is saying in blessing He will bless you but if you chose the way of Eli… (God forbid), you have design your own end, you have count yourself out from the promised blessings…

Let us pray:  Loving Father, I thank You for your eternal promised of protection. I believe in this promise. Whatever evil plans are plotted against God’s purposes in my life, I command them to leave in Jesus’ Name. Thank you, Lord, for taking away all my oppression in Jesus’ Name, I take this victory. Amen.”

‘So sorcery against God’s people will ever prosper.’
