We started this week considering the Second Person in Trinity, followed by the Holy Spirit the Third Person in Trinity, their works and influences in us and I am sure you are blessed because I am thoroughly blessed.

Beloveth, it good sometime to go to your source or foundation, that is where it all started because in so doing you will connect back something that either has been forgotten, neglected or abandoned, God brings it to the fore and make it anew and afresh in our mind, Praise the Lord!

Beloveth, in today’s PCL we will be considering again our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ and with the Holy Spirit as we go this journey of life so that we can finish strong. Amen!

When our first parents fall in the garden, God made salvation plan to rescue us from the hands of satan and their was none found worthy among the creatures to rescue man that God created in His image, not until the Lamb agree to be the Savoiur (Rev5:1-9).

As Jesus sojourned to earth to accomplish the salvation plan, He was tempted but He was focus on His mission till He accomplished His task by dying on the Cross of Calvary but before His death He promised His followers that He will send to them the Holy Spirit, who will accomplish all that are yet to be done and make this eternal journey easier for us and that He did on the Day of Pentecost with the Spirit of God descending on the disciples as thong of fire and they began to speak in tongues (Acts 2:1-4), they were empowered to do exploits for the Kingdom of God with boldness as promised by our Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 2:14-41)

Beloveth, the Spirit of God was sent into the world to fulfill God’s promise to give life to his people and dwell with them forever, and as we have been told during one of studies this week that, the Holy Spirit is our Teacher, our Comforter, our Helper.

But we need to receive the Holy Spirit into our heart before He will function fully in the capacity as plan by God, so how do we receive the Holy Spirit?

We received Him by God’s grace through faith in Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit is something of a mystery- or, maybe we should say, someone of a mystery. One time, when Jesus was speaking about the Holy Spirit, He said that how people are born of the Spirit is like an invisible, unpredictable, but powerful wind.

In other words, the Holy Spirit cannot be tamed. He cannot be predicted or controlled. He cannot even be fully comprehended. He is like an invisible, powerful gust of wind. The Spirit has all the freedom of God Himself, because, of course, the Holy Spirit is God, the third person of the Trinity.

But just because He is sovereign, just because He is unpredictable, doesn’t mean He isn’t trustworthy, He is God, He is the perfect reflection of God’s nature and character. He loves us, and He wants to come and live with us.

But how do we receive the Holy Spirit? It is as simple as this: you hear the message of the Gospel- that Jesus died for your sins and was raised from the dead- and you put your trust in Jesus. If you trust the good news about Jesus, God will send His Holy Spirit to live inside of you that is it.

He is a free gift of God to enable you to understand God’s incredible love for you so that you can become more like Jesus. (Acts 2:38, 1 Cor. 6:11, Gal. 3:2-3).

Having said how we can receive the Holy Spirit we will also consider how He helps us.

As our Teacher, the Holy Spirit reveals God’s truth to us in the Bible. As our Comforter, the Holy Spirit supports us when we are weak and suffering.

Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit for a purpose- for several purposes, actually.

When Jesus was on earth, He said that the Holy Spirit would lead us all into all truth. and by this He didn’t mean just a bunch of random facts, He meant that the Holy Spirit would use God’s Word, the Bible, to teach us about Himself, about Jesus, the Spirit would make the Word of God alive to us.

Jesus also promised that the Holy Spirit would give us life. Not just a fresh boost of every, but a brand new kind of life. a life filled with God’s Spirit, life, love, and joy. That’s the kind of life that the Holy Spirit gives us.

And Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would give us comfort. Sometimes we go through tough times. Sometimes our lives don’t go exactly like we did want them to. But Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would give us comfort and peace when we are weak and suffering and not just the kind of comfort that makes difficult things bearable, but the kind of comfort that gives us surprising joy in difficult circumstances.

Wow! Are you blessed dearly beloved, are you cruising as am doing right now? Shout alleluia to our Father Who has given us everything pertaining to life and godliness thorough the knowledge of Him that hath called us glory and virtue (2 Pet 1:3, 1 Cor 2:12, Jn 14:16-17, Jn 16:13-14, Gal 5:22-23). Shout a louder alleluia…. I am blessed and highly favoured!!!!

Beloveth having read all about this of the Holy Spirit, join us as you discover more of Jesus in the teaching below:

“He shall stand and feed in the strength of the Lord.” Micah 5:4

Christ’s reign in His Church is that of a shepherd-king. He has supremacy, but it is the superiority of a wise and tender shepherd over his needy and loving flock; He commands and receives obedience, but it is the willing obedience of the well-cared-for sheep, rendered joyfully to their beloved Shepherd, whose voice they know so well. He rules by the force of love and the energy of goodness.

His reign is practical in its character. It is said, “He shall stand and feed.” The great Head of the Church is actively engaged in providing for His people. He does not sit down upon the throne in empty state, or hold a sceptre without wielding it in government. No, He stands and feeds. The expression “feed,” in the original, is like an analogous one in the Greek, which means to shepherdize, to do everything expected of a shepherd: to guide, to watch, to preserve, to restore, to tend, as well as to feed.

His reign is continual in its duration. It is said, “He shall stand and feed”; not “He shall feed now and then, and leave His position”; not, “He shall one day grant a revival, and then next day leave His Church to barrenness.” His eyes never slumber, and His hands never rest; His heart never ceases to beat with love, and His shoulders are never weary of carrying His people’s burdens.

His reign is effectually powerful in its action; “He shall feed in the strength of Jehovah.” Wherever Christ is, there is God; and whatever Christ does is the act of the Most High. Oh! it is a joyful truth to consider that He who stands today representing the interests of His people is very God of very God, to whom every knee shall bow. Happy are we who belong to such a shepherd, whose humanity communes with us, and whose divinity protects us. Let us worship and bow down before Him as the people of His pasture.

Did you see Jesus with His staff of office? Wow! Our heavenly Father is a GrandMaster Planner, He has everything well fixed nothing hanging in the air including us.

Beloveth, I believe you are blessed with this teaching for some of us it is a reminder and for some others  it is an eye opener, in which ever one you fall into just know that God have you in His plan too.

Have you received Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, if not click here to do it now? Have you receiver the baptism of the Holy Spirit, if not ask the Holy Spirit to come into your heart now and make you His own.

Is fun having fellowship with the Trinity, your life will simply be amazing and sweet, even in your trialing moments, you will receive help as promised and you will also be empowered to do exploits in God’s vineyard.
