Today’s faith clinic is going to be great, can I hear a believing alleluia! wisdom is the principal thing therefore get Wisdom. Is someone going to get wisdom today as advised?

We have a lot to share with you this morning I hope you are ready for it. it is going to help you as the day go by.

Beloved do you know that it takes faith to believe that there is God? Although God reveals Himself to us in many ways, he is not available to our sense the way creaturely things are available. Indeed, for God to successfully reveal Himself to us He must do so indirectly, through creaturely things we can perceive. Thus, for example, God’s authoritative Word comes to us indirectly through the medium of the Bible. It takes faith to believe that the Words of the Bible we can see and are actually God’s Words. Heb 11:6 said “it is impossible to please God without faith. It pleases God when someone turns in faith towards His revelation … when someone earnestly seeks His Presence, It pleases God when someone turns away from feeble attempts to solve the cares and corns of life and comes to Him seeking His will and purpose.

Coming to God is not done in vain. God may be found by the earnest seeker who can look beyond the cloak of creaturely existence with the eyes of faith and see the God Who has the power to bestow the appropriate reward. What kind of reward is that? From the example given in Heb 11, we can see that it can be virtually anything- even stopping the mouths of lions and the conquering of kingdoms.

Beloved, do you believe God that this year is your year of “from glory to glory?” don’t forget that you cannot please God without faith.

Father Abraham’s faith’s staggered at that point because he is just human but God reassurance put him back to his feet and it counted to him as righteousness.

Can you believe God is able to handle the situation(s) you are facing presently? Do you believe that He will not fail to uphold His Word to you?

We are going to bring to you various Names of God that will help your faith (case) today if you apply them.

Elohim in Deut 10:17 says, “The Lord your God (Elohim) is the God of gods….” El means “mighty” or strong and is use for any reference to gods, including God Almighty.”

If God is the creator of all things, who has given us life? Elohim, of course! And why were we created? He created you for His glory. (Ps 139:13-14). Did you remember Moses in Exo 4:10- “Moses said to the Lord, “Please Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither recently nor in time past, nor since Thou has spoken to Thy; for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue” but hear what the Lord’s reply? “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes him dumb or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the Lord”(Exo 4:11).

Other Name of God is Jehovah – the Self- Existent One- I AM Who I AM (Exo 3:13-15). He is the eternal I AM, The Alpha and the Omega, the same yester, today, forever. All of life is contained in Him. Why do we look elsewhere? Why do we not rest in His unchangeableness? He has never failed, would He begin with me or you? He cannot. He is Jehovah, the Self-Existent, covenant-keeping God.

He is El-Shaddai- The God Almighty, He appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, in this Name but by my Name Jehovah I did not make myself known to them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land in which they sojourned.”

Jehovah fulfilled the covenant He had made with Abraham regarding the land of Canaan, so will He now fail you?  The Israelite returned to Canaan after four hundred year of bondage in Egypt (Gen 15;13-21). When you need assurance that God is there, that He will keep His promises without changing- even though you have wavered in your promises to Him- run to your Jehovah. Trust in His Name. It cannot change because He cant change. He is Jehovah – the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb 13:8).

Another Name for God is Jehovah,  Jehovah – Jireh, Jehovah – tsidkenu, Jehovah- nissi, Jehovah- raah, Jehovah- rapha, Jehovah- shalom, Jehovah- sabaoth, Jehovah- shammah, Jehovah- mekoddishkem.

Jehovah- raah, the Lord my Shepherd, I shall not want. We are like sheep, over and over again God refers to us as sheep. “all we like sheep have gone astray” (Isaiah 53:6). “My sheep hear my voice” (Jn 10:27). “We are … the sheep of His Pasture” (Ps 100:3). “I… will both search my sheep, and seek them out” (Ezekiel 34:11). “Feed my sheep” (Jn 21:17).

All the positive thoughts in the world can’t change the fact that sheep are sheep. Sheep are the dumbest of all animals. They are helpless, timid, and feeble. They require constant attention and meticulous care. Sheep have little means of self- defense.

What makes the difference in sheep is the Shepherd. Even though we do dumb things, even though we are not perfect, even though we all stumble in many ways (Jas 3:2), we can succeed because the Lord is our Shepherd. God designed us as we are so that we would see our need of Him. Thus, we can say with total confidence and conviction, ‘The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.” (Ps 23:1).

Another Name of God is the Hosts. This Name is Jehovah –sabaoth (1 Sam 17:45). We encountered this Name in Isaiah and Zechariah’s but not in Ezekiel. This Name is not for those who have cease to fight. In Ezekiel’s day, God’s people were to settle down for seventy years of captivity.

Instead, this is a Name for those who find their resources inadequate in the midst of a struggle. From our perspective, this is the Name of God to run to when there is no other help.  This Name of God meets failure and offers deliverance. O beloved, do not forget this “The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous runs into it and they are safe” (Prov 18:10). It is a name that keeps you from boasting in chariots and horses (Ps 20:7)- who needs them when the Name of His God is the Lord of hosts?

Beloved what current situation are you in where you most need Jehovah-sabaoth, the Lord of hosts? Come along with us as we discover more:

Genesis 13:1-15:6, Psalm 5:7-12, Proverbs 1:17-19, Matthew 5:33-6:4

“I Am Your Shield”

Abram believed the Lord, and He credited it to him as righteousness.—Genesis 15:6

It is no good saying you believe God is stronger than the Devil if you do not act on that belief. Faith not only believes this but acts on it by quickly standing up to the Devil and saying something similar to what David said when he stood before Goliath: “You come against me with a dagger, spear, and sword, but I come against you in the name of Yahweh of Hosts” (1Sm 17:45). You must never forget that God is much more powerful than the Devil. Hold on t:45o that, and quickly raise your shield whenever you experience an attack of Satan’s “fiery darts.”

The passage that introduces this devotion focuses on an incident in Abraham’s life that took place when he was exhausted after making a great stand. Doubtless, Satan would have attacked him with thoughts like: “What is the point of all this action of God on your behalf and all these promises when you do not have an heir to carry on your line? God doesn’t seem to have as much power as it would appear.”

Abraham was fearful at this point until the Lord came to him and gave him these glorious words: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield; your reward will be very great” (Gn 15:1).

“I am your shield.” Hold on to that great truth, my friend, and when under attack, quickly lift it up and remind the Devil that you belong to One whose power is endless and eternal. His promises are ever sure. That is what it means to hold up the shield of faith.

Prayer

O God, how grateful I am for the sureness and certainty of Your Word. Once again I feel it entering into the core of my being. Help me to put these truths into practice the very moment I come under satanic attack. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
