Beloveth are celebrating? Are you rejoicing? Oftentimes you might not see any reason to do the above mentioned but if you remember that you cannot wake up on your except a Divine Hand wakes you up, you just have jump on your feet and shout alleluia!!!!!!!!!! not out fear but out reverence.
Beloveth our topic today say “Let us not sleep as do others” hummmmh, beloveth we need not sleep when the matter of kingdom comes up. Make sure you use every opportunity you have to tell someone about the gospel of our Lord Jesus. Most importantly remind yourself often that this place is not your home.
Get prepare every second. May God help us that the groom will not meet us unprepared, this become of necessity as the groom might delay a little and our oil will burn off if we don’t have spare oil with us.
Is also possible that the groom might come with a little backsliding on our part, may the Spirit of God save us that axe man will not be at the foot of the tree to cut it down in Jesus Name.
Beloveth take your salvation as a serious business. When God destroyed the world of Noah the Bible recorded that some were doing their businesses while some are marrying and giving in marriage. Some are not meaningfully engage and when the flood came, it wiped off everything on the surface of the earth except those in the boat (Gen 7).
Beloveth do not sleep, aim yourself with God Word, be diligent in obeying it, also work towards saving others. Encourage yourself to be fellowship with other brethren as this is the safest way to stay wake. May God help us in Jesus Name.

There are many ways of promoting Christian wakefulness. Among the rest, let me strongly advise Christians to converse together concerning the ways of the Lord. Christian and Hopeful, as they journeyed towards the Celestial City, said to themselves, “To prevent drowsiness in this place, let us fall into good discourse.” Christian enquired, “Brother, where shall we begin?” And Hopeful answered, “Where God began with us.” Then Christian sang this song—
“When saints do sleepy grow, let them come hither,
And hear how these two pilgrims talk together;
Yea, let them learn of them, in any wise,
Thus to keep open their drowsy slumb’ring eyes.
Saints’ fellowship, if it be managed well,
Keeps them awake, and that in spite of hell.”
Christians who isolate themselves and walk alone, are very liable to grow drowsy. Hold Christian company, and you will be kept wakeful by it, and refreshed and encouraged to make quicker progress in the road to heaven. But as you thus take “sweet counsel” with others in the ways of God, take care that the theme of your converse is the Lord Jesus.
Let the eye of faith be constantly looking unto Him; let your heart be full of Him; let your lips speak of His worth. Friend, live near to the cross, and thou wilt not sleep. Labour to impress thyself with a deep sense of the value of the place to which thou art going.
If thou rememberest that thou art going to heaven, thou wilt not sleep on the road. If thou thinkest that hell is behind thee, and the devil pursuing thee, thou wilt not loiter. Would the manslayer sleep with the avenger of blood behind him, and the city of refuge before him?
Christian, wilt thou sleep whilst the pearly gates are open—the songs of angels waiting for thee to join them—a crown of gold ready for thy brow? Ah! no; in holy fellowship continue to watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation.
Yes dearly beloved we must pray earnestly not enter into temptation.. hold on to God against anything that wants to take away the grace of God in your life and look steadily unto Jesus the author and Finisher of your faith. Amen! Amen!! Amen!!!
Create time to read the Bible and other Christian literature that will guide you as you journey to heaven. Mediate there in and let the Spirit of God help you. stay awake with other believes urging you on, don’t ever give up until you get the pearl gate, may God help us till the end in Jesus Name.
