Our Father we say thank You, we bless Your Holy Name, thank You for the gift of this week, the miracles and breakthroughs you wrought in our lives and situations… we worship You Jesus, we give You Praise, adoration to The Only Wise God. be Thou exalted forever in Jesus Name.

Beloveth, how are doing today? First week of January has come and gone, gradually the year will roll by….some of us are back to work, some are yet to resume but whichever group you belong to all I want you to know is that you must prayerfully possess this year. You are not going to allow the year to be throwing things at you but you must engage the year prayerfully and rest on God to satisfy you early.

Beloveth, you are the salt of the world, you are also the light of the world… you must not lose your taste nor be hidden rather you stand tell for Jesus in any place you find yourself not minding threats in and out as we can see in our Bible character for today. another Bible character we have today to consider is John the Baptist.

As aggressive as their Pharisees were in his time, he remains defiant in his commitment to the Divine assignment, in the shortest time he accomplished his assignment and off the stage he goes. John’s purpose was to point people to the Messiah- to bring them the message of hope and salvation that Jesus was coming as the Lamb of God who would take away the sins of the world.

John was faithful to that task , preaching the truth without fear or favour, and pointing many to the Saviour.

The life of mission of John the Baptist should be our purpose as well. There is no more important task, because everyone we meet has an eternal soul and a need of salvation. There are many religious figures in John’s day who were proclaiming messages that were not true. John fearlessly pointed out the difference between right and wrong, despite the fact that many people wanted a message more accommodating to their lifestyle.

Jesus praised John the Baptist, in the highest terms, for his commitment to his calling. He said, “verily I say unto you, among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the Kingdom of heaven is greater than he” Matt 11:11.

Not John’s life or ministry was long but they were effective because he faithfully made Jesus known. Every Christian can and should follow the example of John in pointing others to Jesus.. John made a difference; do you dare make a difference at your time too?

Come along with us as we discover more below:

Making a Difference

Daniel determined that he would not defile himself with the king’s food or with the wine he drank. So he asked permission from the chief official not to defile himself.—Daniel 1:8

Would you dare to believe that God, who called you to Himself and equipped you with His Spirit, could work mightily through you? Have you made the connection between the time and place in which you live and God’s call upon you? World events never catch God by surprise. He placed you precisely where you are for a purpose.

Daniel did not let the temptations of his day interfere with his relationship to the Lord. He knew that to make his life useful to God he must be obedient in all things. Regardless of what the most powerful king in the world commanded, Daniel refused to compromise what he knew God required of him.

History is replete with examples of Christian men and women who believed that God would work through them to make a significant difference for His kingdom. God placed Esther strategically in the king’s court at a crucial time when she could save the lives of God’s people (Esther 4:14). God placed Joseph strategically to become the most powerful adviser to the pharaoh in Egypt and to save Jacob and his family from a devastating drought (Gen. 41:39–40).

Are you allowing your surroundings to determine how you invest your life? Or are you letting God use you to make a difference in your generation? Ask God to reveal His purposes for you and His will for your life today.

Beloveth, ask God to reveal His Will for you if you have not yet receive it but is you have, like Mary tell God to help you that you are his handmaid/ servant in Jesus Name…

Join the heavenly squad, the army that must not break their rank and make a difference for God this year in your market place. I see you are leaping over the walls beloveth, lines are fallen into pleasant places for you, you have a goodly heritage. Praise the Name of the Lord.

Beloveth, have a pleasant weekend. See you on Monday by God’s grace Amen!!!

Remain blessed in the Lord.
