LITTLE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM

O little town of Bethlehem,

How still we see thee lie!

Above thy deep and dreamless sleep

The silent stars go by.

Yet in thy dark streets shineth

The everlasting light;

The hopes and fears of all the years

Are met in thee tonight.

We come to the Holy God whose Word is yea and Amen! We bless You Lord we honour Your holy Name. Thank You for the privilege to come before Your presence again this day with a heart full of joy and gladness for who You are, blessed be Your holy Name. Thank You for Who You are and Your uncountable miracles to us. We just come to say Thank You.

Thank You for sparing our lives, for healings, for breakthrough, for Your deliverance and provisions all through the week. Father again we say Thank You.

Beloved, Friday is here, PCL is here again, praise God. This Christmas cerebration has taken over where. The children are singing the carols songs they know. The adult are humming it where they have forgotten the lines. Is a joyful season and I hope you are happy?

Victory is mine says a son writer. That victory is in Christ and no other. Sometime. I imagine what will happened if God is not Sovereign. If our God is not El-Shaddia. If our God is not omnipotent. But Thank God for being God indeed unto us.

The message of today is coming your way with assurance that God is still in full control and whatever He says concerning you is what will be. Men may try but God’s word concerning you is final.

What verdict are you running about for? What conspiracy are you afraid of? Come with me.

Beloved, men will only be men and God will always be God. This dominion power must be establish back into your life and my life whether the devil likes it or not.  The theme for the year must find expression in your life and my life in Jesus Name

Let’s get going:

“I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; and forgettest the Lord thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?.” Isa. 51:12, 13

Let the text itself be taken as the portion for today. There is no need to enlarge upon it. Trembling one, read it, believe it, feed on it, and plead it before the Lord. He whom you fear is only a man after all; while He who promises to comfort you is God, your Maker, and the Creator of Heaven and earth. Infinite comfort more than covers a very limited danger.

“Where is the fury of the oppressor?” It is in the Lord’s hand. It is only the fury of a dying creature; fury which will end as soon as the breath is gone from the nostril. Why, then, should we stand in awe of one who is as frail as ourselves? Let us not dishonor our God by making a god of puny man. We can make an idol of a man by rendering to him excessive fear as well as by paying him inordinate love.

Let us treat men as men, and God as God; and then we shall go calmly on in the path of duty, fearing the Lord, and fearing nobody else.

Because even God our God is also our God in the night. Praise God.

“The night also is Thine.” Psalm 74:16

Yes, Lord, Thou dost not abdicate Thy throne when the sun goeth down, nor dost Thou leave the world all through these long wintry nights to be the prey of evil; Thine eyes watch us as the stars, and Thine arms surround us as the zodiac belts the sky. The dews of kindly sleep and all the influences of the moon are in Thy hand, and the alarms and solemnities of night are equally with Thee. This is very sweet to me when watching through the midnight hours, or tossing to and fro in anguish. There are precious fruits put forth by the moon as well as by the sun: may my Lord make me to be a favoured partaker in them.

The night of affliction is as much under the arrangement and control of the Lord of Love as the bright summer days when all is bliss. Jesus is in the tempest. His love wraps the night about itself as a mantle, but to the eye of faith the sable robe is scarce a disguise. From the first watch of the night even unto the break of day the eternal Watcher observes His saints, and overrules the shades and dews of midnight for His people’s highest good. We believe in no rival deities of good and evil contending for the mastery, but we hear the voice of Jehovah saying, “I create light and I create darkness; I, the Lord, do all these things.”

Gloomy seasons of religious indifference and social sin are not exempted from the divine purpose. When the altars of truth are defiled, and the ways of God forsaken, the Lord’s servants weep with bitter sorrow, but they may not despair, for the darkest eras are governed by the Lord, and shall come to their end at His bidding. What may seem defeat to us may be victory to Him.

“Though enwrapt in gloomy night,

We perceive no ray of light;

Since the Lord Himself is here,

‘Tis not meet that we should fear.”

Beloved, may the God of our fathers in the Lord be Your God. Let Him alone be Your God. Fear no man, as men is nothing without God. In vain do we fret at their threats for God has promised to watch over us and bless us. He who has promised us victory and dominion will surely bring it to pass. If God  be for us who can be against us.  Praise the Lord.

At this juncture I wish to say a Merry Christmas to You from allofus @ Overcomers-faith Ministry. May the joy of this season be found in you in Jesus Name.

Have a wonderful celebrate. Don’t ever forget the reason for the season- JESUS CHRIST – Salvation.

See you next week by God’s grace and remain ever blessed.

More carol. Let continue:

For Christ is born of Mary,

And gathered all above,

While mortals sleep, the angels keep

Their watch of wond’ring love.

O morning stars, together

Proclaim the holy birth!

And praises sing to God the King,

And peace to men on earth.

How silently, how silently

The wondrous gift is giv’n!

So God imparts to human hearts

The blessings of His heav’n.

No ear may hear His coming,

But in this world of sin,

Where meek souls will receive Him still

The dear Christ enters in.

O holy Child of Bethlehem!

Descend to us, we pray;

Cast out our sin, and enter in;

Be born in us today.

We hear the Christmas angels

The great glad tidings tell;

O come to us, abide with us,

Our Lord Emmanuel.

Remain bless in the Lord.
