Beloved, I don’t know if you are like me “once in my despondence moment and I heard people saying things like – we are in the ninth month as a result many will birth their ideals, bring their vision to light, conceive new ideas that will move them forward, I use to imagine or wonder what they saying,” like you will be hearing now from many quarters you turn but I have goodnews for you.
Today’s topic will settle it all. Though weeping may be there in the night but you will wake up with rejoicing. The Lord will wipe away your tears and make you smile again.
Do you feel that the hand of God is behind your challenges as we have discussed sometimes on this platform? It is happening because He wants to bring you to the point of perfection. If otherwise, He will help you still.
So are you in the night of weeping, never mind because He will bring a joyous day your way. Glory be to God. It is the nature of God to try the righteous. So don’t be discourage if that is where you are at the moment. the Lord will perfect all that concerns you Praise God. Let’s keep on going:
“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Ps. 30:5
A moment under our Father’s anger seems very long, and yet it is but a moment after all. If we grieve His Spirit we cannot look for His smile; but He is a God ready to pardon, and He soon puts aside all remembrance of our faults. When we faint and are ready to die because of His frown, His favor puts new life into us.
This verse has another note of the semi- quaver kind. Our weeping night soon turns into joyous day. Brevity is the mark of mercy in the hour of the chastisement of believers. The Lord loves not to use the rod on His chosen; He gives a blow or two, and all is Over; yea, and the life and the joy, which follow the anger and the weeping, more than make amends for the salutary sorrow.
Come, my heart, begin thy hallelujahs! Weep not all through the night, but wipe thine eyes in anticipation of the morning. These tears are dews which mean us as much good as the sunbeams of the morrow. Tears clear the eyes for the sight of God in His grace; and make the vision of His favor more precious. A night of sorrow supplies those shades of the pictures by which the highlights are brought out with distinctness. All is well.
Yes all will be well. Our weeping night soon turn into a joyous day. And brevity is the mark of mercy in the hour of the chastisement of believers. Glory be to God. Father the grace to stand through grant unto us in Jesus Name. Let’s get going:
“The Lord trieth the righteous.” Psalm 11:5
All events are under the control of Providence; consequently all the trials of our outward life are traceable at once to the great First Cause. Out of the golden gate of God’s ordinance the armies of trial march forth in array, clad in their iron armour, and armed with weapons of war.
All providences are doors to trial. Even our mercies, like roses, have their thorns. Men may be drowned in seas of prosperity as well as in rivers of affliction. Our mountains are not too high, and our valleys are not too low for temptations: trials lurk on all roads.
Everywhere, above and beneath, we are beset and surrounded with dangers. Yet no shower falls unpermitted from the threatening cloud; every drop has its order ere it hastens to the earth. The trials which come from God are sent to prove and strengthen our graces, and so at once to illustrate the power of divine grace, to test the genuineness of our virtues, and to add to their energy.
Our Lord in His infinite wisdom and superabundant love, sets so high a value upon His people’s faith that He will not screen them from those trials by which faith is strengthened. You would never have possessed the precious faith which now supports you if the trial of your faith had not been like unto fire. You are a tree that never would have rooted so well if the wind had not rocked you to and fro, and made you take firm hold upon the precious truths of the covenant grace.
Worldly ease is a great foe to faith; it loosens the joints of holy valour, and snaps the sinews of sacred courage. The balloon never rises until the cords are cut; affliction doth this sharp service for believing souls. While the wheat sleeps comfortably in the husk it is useless to man, it must be threshed out of its resting place before its value can be known. Thus it is well that Jehovah trieth the righteous, for it causeth them to grow rich towards God.
Beloved, that is it for us. If we are tried by the Lord; let us not faint in the process as He will uphold us and bless us if we faint not. Praise the Lord!
Weeping may tarry in the night but joy comes in the morning, Praise God. Am so blessed with this ministration and sure you are also. is good to know that God will never abandon us at all no matter what if we keep trusting and believing Him. Praise God.
