Glory be to God in the highest and peace to men of goodwill. Father, we thank You yet for another day You have made us to be glad and rejoice in Thee. Blessed Redeemer, we thank You for ever more for yester years, for this year and the years to come if Christ tarries. We cannot be thankful enough for all that you have done for me, O God we are very very grateful for Your glory that radiate around us and make us wiser and wiser every day.

Father, we call upon You as commanded us in Your word, show us we pray Thee, deep things which we knoweth not. Open our eyes of understanding to see all You want us to see. Open our ears to hear what You want us to hear. Watch over our lips this day to say only those things that are pleasing to You alone in the Name of Jesus. Have your way, O! Lord.

Beloved, we are commanded to pray without season and in everything with thanksgiving make it known to Your Creator, so whatever be the burden in your heart, come and lay it bear at the Lord’s feet this day and victory will be yours forever. The joy of the Lord is everlasting and it is for the redeemed of the Lord.

Do not wish for yesterday day to come back, for you should know better that it will never be, rather pray for the grace to keep experiencing God in a great and higher dimensions, for God is new every morning.

{During the days of our fore fathers’ (Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) God appeared to them in different ways, apart from the way He appeared to the children of Israelite in the wilderness and beyond. The Apostle experienced Same God in diverse ways and so it is you and I through the help of the Holy Spirit. None of His visitation has ever been the same. So how come you wants to experience Him same way all through your life. Even, when the disciples requested same from Christ, He turned it down for there are people on the other side to be attained to, more so, they are yet to have greater encounter with God}.

Beloved, there are yet another side of God to experience, do not dwell in the past rather reposition yourself for the future. There are more ahead to see and experience, however, if you lost communion with God out of neglect, then read the message below to know what to do:

“Oh that I were as in months past.” Job 29:2

Numbers of Christians can view the past with pleasure, but regard the present with dissatisfaction; they look back upon the days which they have passed in communing with the Lord as being the sweetest and the best they have ever known, but as to the present, it is clad in a sable garb of gloom and dreariness.

Once they lived near to Jesus, but now they feel that they have wandered from Him, and they say, “O that I were as in months past!” They complain that they have lost their evidences, or that they have not present peace of mind, or that they have no enjoyment in the means of grace, or that conscience is not so tender, or that they have not so much zeal for God’s glory.

The causes of this mournful state of things are manifold. It may arise through a comparative neglect of prayer, for a neglected closet is the beginning of all spiritual decline. Or it may be the result of idolatry. The heart has been occupied with something else, more than with God; the affections have been set on the things of earth, instead of the things of heaven. A jealous God will not be content with a divided heart; He must be loved first and best. He will withdraw the sunshine of His presence from a cold, wandering heart.

Or the cause may be found in self-confidence and self-righteousness. Pride is busy in the heart, and self is exalted instead of lying low at the foot of the cross. Christian, if you are not now as you “were in months past,” do not rest satisfied with wishing for a return of former happiness, but go at once to seek your Master, and tell Him your sad state.

Ask His grace and strength to help you to walk more closely with Him; humble yourself before Him, and He will lift you up, and give you yet again to enjoy the light of His countenance. Do not sit down to sigh and lament; while the beloved Physician lives there is hope, nay there is a certainty of recovery for the worst cases.

Were you fervent before for the Lord and suddenly went cold, go quickly to the Master Jesus, the great Physician for a cure. He knows what to do, do not sit down and be mournful, arise quickly like the leapers and run to Maker.

Beloved, we need to pray the prayers below to avoid pitfalls in life, it comes in subtle ways. So watch out; less you fall without knowing:

Defensive Prayer

It is wise to pray defensively. Here is Billy Graham’s list:

 1. Prayer against wrong involvement with women

“It is Gods will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorableFor God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.“(1 Thessalonians 4:3, 4, 7)

 2. Prayer against love of money

“Godliness actually is a means of great gain, when accompanied by contentmentBut those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith, and pierced themselves with many a pang.“(1 Timothy 6:6, 9, 10)

 3. Prayer against pride

“All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, becauseGod opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble‘… For this is what the high and lofty One says… ‘I livewith him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.‘”(1 Peter 5:5b,  Isaiah 57:15, Lk 22:27)

 4. Prayer against a critical spirit and tongue

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listenGet rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.“(Ephesians 4:29, 31)

 5. Prayer against possession centeredness

“He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves abundance with its income…”(Ecclesiastes 5:10a)

6. Prayer against wrong doctrine

“We will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.“(Ephesians 4:14b)

7. Prayer against spiritual coldness

“But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sins deceitfulness.“(Hebrews 3:13)

Have you prayed as listed above? Peradventure you have more to add, please go ahead until you pray through. God never cast anyone out but will welcome you into His bosom full of love(Prov 15:29). Don’t dwell in the past rather move ahead, there are yet more to be experience.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
