Take glory Father, Take glory Son, take glory Holy Spirit now and forever more! Our heavenly Father we thank You we blessed Your Holy Name! Our alleluia belongs to You, for You are Lord! You do miracle so great! There is no one else like You! There is no one else like Thee.

O come Spirit of the Living God! Fall afresh on us, break us, melt us, mould us and use us, Spirit of the Living fall afresh on us.

Beloveth, how are doing today? Do you have a reason to Praise the Name of the Lord? Can you look around you and lift up Your voice and shout Praise the Lord? in spite of what You are going through can you in the midst of it trust God enough to say “I know my Redeemer liveth, and He will perfect all that concerneth me?

The ministration that is coming our way today was a case hopelessness in the eye of men, but the One Who can do all things, is nothing, but another way to show forth His Praise in the lives of men that He has created.

It is also a case of trusting God in every circumstance, having no alternative but God. It is a point of critical decision making that affects not only our immediate life but also our eternity.

Beloveth, as easy as you may think as the decision made by Ruth, it goes beyond it. Ruth trusted a God she does not know about but has heard about. She has not seen any wonder done by Him except the many stories her mother–in-law would have told her. So she decide to show kindness to her helpless mother-in-law and God favoured her and she was named among the lineage of His Only Begotten Son – Jesus.

Beloveth, are you trusting God with all your heart, soul and body that situation will end is Praise? That sickness is not unto God but for Him to glorify Him selves in your midst? He can restore all the Palmer worms and locust has eaten from your labour? Do you trust Him enough that you will not die childless? That your life partner will locate you soonest? Or are you trusting in self, your ability or bank account and properties, or your trusting in mere mortals whose breath can stop in moment of fulfillment?

Beloveth let us discover more below before we make our inferences:

“Orpah kissed her mother-in-law; but Ruth clave unto her.” Ruth 1:14

Both of them had an affection for Naomi, and therefore set out with her upon her return to the land of Judah. But the hour of test came; Naomi most unselfishly set before each of them the trials which awaited them, and bade them if they cared for ease and comfort to return to their Moabitish friends.

At first both of them declared that they would cast in their lot with the Lord’s people; but upon still further consideration Orpah with much grief and a respectful kiss left her mother in law, and her people, and her God, and went back to her idolatrous friends, while Ruth with all her heart gave herself up to the God of her mother in law.

It is one thing to love the ways of the Lord when all is fair, and quite another to cleave to them under all discouragements and difficulties. The kiss of outward profession is very cheap and easy, but the practical cleaving to the Lord, which must show itself in holy decision for truth and holiness, is not so small a matter.

How stands the case with us, is our heart fixed upon Jesus, is the sacrifice bound with cords to the horns of the altar? Have we counted the cost, and are we solemnly ready to suffer all worldly loss for the Master’s sake? The after gain will be an abundant recompense, for Egypt’s treasures are not to be compared with the glory to be revealed.

Orpah is heard of no more; in glorious ease and idolatrous pleasure her life melts into the gloom of death; but Ruth lives in history and in heaven, for grace has placed her in the noble line whence sprung the King of kings.

Blessed among women shall those be who for Christ’s sake can renounce all; but forgotten and worse than forgotten shall those be who in the hour of temptation do violence to conscience and turn back unto the world.

O that this morning we may not be content with the form of devotion, which may be no better than Orpah’s kiss, but may the Holy Spirit work in us a cleaving of our whole heart to our Lord Jesus.

Yes! A cleaving of our whole heart to Jesus! Praise the Lord, Ruth trusted God and blessed here in earth and in heaven, while Orpah perished with her idolatrous friends and pleasures.

Beloveth, what is your resolve, to keep on believing and trusting in God or to turn back to the world at a slightest disappointment, provocation, or discouragement?

Trust and obey is the surest way to God promises but doubting is the easiest way to opt out of the Divine Will and purpose.

So keep trusting and as we can see, it was grace that found Ruth, beloveth as you Praise today as God to pour into your heart His unlimited, boundless graces and you will see His favour marching before you. Amen!!! And our glory to glory establish Amen!!!

Remain blessed in the Lord.
