I don’t know exactly what you may be passing through but an unpleasant situation is a unpleasant. But I know that God is too faithful to fail.

Sin is one critical state that erode God’s blessings in the life of an individual and thwart such destiny from coming to pass. I have also discovered that unconfessed sin is deadly and it havoc spreads like a wild fire. However, not every unpleasant situation occur due to the cases mentioned above,

Oftentimes God is in the business of securing Himself a people of repute, a holy nation called into services.

In Jeramiah 17:10- God said “I, the Lord searches the heart.”  When God recruit you into his works force, you will undergo several test, some is to prove your confession while some others is to prove your loyalty and establish your trust in Him through His Word.

Are you going through some difficulty time, check yourself and sincerely analyze where you are or what is going on in your life? Is very possible that God is preparing you for greater work and harvest.

We have in our teaching today lessons that will help our understanding of God’s goodness towards His people.

We have David who went through thick and thin to live out his destiny to help you understand what you are presently going through. So come with me and wept no more because the solution to your problems are here. The Lord is pruning you for fruit- bearing:

“Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.” John 15:2

This is a precious promise to one who lives for fruitfulness. At first it seems to wear a sharp aspect. Must the fruitful bough be pruned? Must the knife cut even the best and most useful? No doubt it is so, for very much of our Lord’s purging work is done by means of afflictions of one kind or another.

It is not the evil but the good who have the promise of tribulation in this life. But, then, the end makes more than full amends for the painful nature of the means. If we may bring forth more fruit for our Lord, we will not mind the pruning and the loss of leafage.

Still, purging is sometimes wrought by the Word apart from trial, and this takes away whatever appeared rough in the flavor of the promise. We shall by the Word be made more gracious and more useful. The Lord, who has made us, in a measure, fruit-bearing, will operate upon us till we reach a far higher degree of fertility.

Is not this a great joy? Truly there is more comfort in a promise of fruitfulness than if we had been warranted riches, or health, or honor.

Lord Jesus, speedily fulfill thy gracious word to me, and cause me to abound in fruit to thy praise!

In Jn 15:2, if you are abiding in the branch, we have two possible outcome – to either be cut off or to be puregth, which do you prefer? Let us see how King David was pruned by the Lord. Is possible someone will be encouraged by just that. Let’s get going:

“The sweet psalmist of Israel.” 2Samuel 23:1

Among all the saints whose lives are recorded in Holy Writ, David possesses an experience of the most striking, varied, and instructive character. In his history we meet with trials and temptations not to be discovered, as a whole, in other saints of ancient times, and hence he is all the more suggestive a type of our Lord.

David knew the trials of all ranks and conditions of men. Kings have their troubles, and David wore a crown: the peasant has his cares, and David handled a shepherd’s crook: the wanderer has many hardships, and David abode in the caves of Engedi: the captain has his difficulties, and David found the sons of Zeruiah too hard for him.

The psalmist was also tried in his friends, his counsellor Ahithophel forsook him, “He that eateth bread with me, hath lifted up his heel against me.” His worst foes were they of his own household: his children were his greatest affliction. The temptations of poverty and wealth, of honour and reproach, of health and weakness, all tried their power upon him. He had temptations from without to disturb his peace, and from within to mar his joy.

David no sooner escaped from one trial than he fell into another; no sooner emerged from one season of despondency and alarm, than he was again brought into the lowest depths, and all God’s waves and billows rolled over him. It is probably from this cause that David’s psalms are so universally the delight of experienced Christians.

Whatever our frame of mind, whether ecstasy or depression, David has exactly described our emotions. He was an able master of the human heart, because he had been tutored in the best of all schools—the school of heart-felt, personal experience.

As we are instructed in the same school, as we grow matured in grace and in years, we increasingly appreciate David’s psalms, and find them to be “green pastures.” My soul, let David’s experience cheer and counsel thee this day.

Are sharing in the prayer too. So many of us can identify with king david in pains. Are You allowing those things You are experiencing to improve Your relationship with God and Your dear self or You resolved to self –pity or pity party?

However, the Lord is sending this message across to your way today to encourage you that He has not forgotten His promises to you. It is possible that some of these promises needs enlargement of your barns so as to contain the harvest. Therefore ask God what He want you to do? Pick up Your pieces and start moving forever.

A time of pruning might be a time of waiting, do not waste the experience get involved in things You can presently do around You while God is fashioning You out the best way to attain to Your dream and destiny safety and in a grand style.

Be encourage and know yea that you in for a great harvest. King David later overcame all his stubborn pursues and God granted victory over his enemies. Yours will not be an exception. The God of King David is still alive today, He will do same to you.

I have walked with God to give you the assurance that God will be there before it will be late. Lazarus came out the grave, so what is you are panicking about, the power that raised Lazarus from death is alive. The power that raise Christ from death will attain to those needs. Praise the Name of the Lord!

Don’t forget that is not over until is over. Stay calm and be patience and know that God is with you. The time of pruning is not a time to grumble or murmur but a time to keep hope alive through the Word and the fellowship of the brethren. The Lord is coming quickly, don’t give up- Rev 3:11

Remain blessed in the Lord.
