Matchless Father, Sweet Saviour we present ourselves to You ourselves. Today, what You predetermined before our existence be done in our life, let it be in Jesus Name and everything that standeth against it must collapse in Jesus Name. Let all glory and adoration be ascribe unto You alone in Jesus Name. Amen.

Beloved, how watchful are you? This is one of the silent questions we should be asking ourselves from time to time. Is good to be on course both in your secular relationship, private and ministry life. When you are focus (aiming at a goal) it is easier to know when you are deviating, because you know your expected result. You will also know when the devil is after you to make you fall.

I have told this story before but the topic before us today necessity me to say it again. Before the night my dad became unconscious, I was spoke with him not knowing it will be the last I will hear his voice. I told him dad, so far from my judgment I will say you have done well and you have run the race but you need to keep the faith to get to the finish line. Don’t deviate from the faith you have professed all your life. I said (though touching and with my heart beating fast and in my mouth) even if we part here on earth we still have the opportunity to meet in heaven. Dad keep the faith.

It was until I got the news of his demise, that I know that what I was telling my dad was divinely inspired, as I received I told him but I never know until he did not made it through. I received from the Lord because someone (I) was keeping watch and the night before his death, all my sisters and sister in law held a vigil for him individually praying for his restoration without telling one another but after the death was announced, we got to know that it was a night of prayer for him by allofus.

Then what happens when you are nothing watching as supposed? I will say, “be ready to count your loses”. How? Someone want to know. Please fellow me to discover more on how to Stand Your Watch:

I will stand at my guard post and station myself on the lookout tower.

I will watch to see what He will say to me and what I should reply about my complaint.—Habakkuk 2:1

The watchman’s job was vital. An approaching army left residents of an ancient city precious little time to flee or to prepare for battle. Everyone’s life depended on the alert watchman as he peered into the horizon for the earliest glimpse of an approaching threat. It was critical that the people be alerted as soon as possible to what was coming.

As a Christian, God places you as a watchman for yourself, your friends, your family, and your church family. It is essential that you be attentive to what God is saying. It may be that a friend is in crisis and needs God’s word. As you study your Bible, God may choose to give you words of encouragement to share with your friend. It may be that as your children face difficult challenges, God will speak to you as you pray and reveal how you can help them. If you are spiritually alert, you may receive a warning from God that addresses specific dangers that those around you are facing.

If you are careless, on the other hand, your family may be struggling, but the answers God has for them will go unheard. If you are oblivious to God’s message, those around you may miss the encouraging promise from God that He wanted to share through you. God holds His watchmen accountable for their diligence (Ezek. 33:6). Strive to be attentive to every word that comes to you from God.

Remember, your diligence will benefit you and those around you as you heed God’s warnings and follow His commands.

Dear friend, can you remember when were not watching and something went wrong? I will advise you to leave the past and move on and ask the spirit of God to be more sensitive in future. Keeping watch is not only for others, more importantly is keeping watch over your SOUL. Please read more:

Satan Is An Opportunist With Your Soul

After loosing the battle to tempt Christ into sin, the Devil departs “until an opportune time.” (Luke 4:13)

AN “OPPORTUNE TIME” – That is what the Enemy of our soul is soliciting from you as he “prowls about like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8)

Let me suggest five “opportune times when Satan is most likely to strike:

1. During periods of strength and success

But when (Uzziah) became strong, his heart was so proud that he acted corruptly, and was unfaithful to the Lord… “ (2 Chronicles 26:16a).

2. When you choose to live by wrong priorities

David, while at the pinnacle of his career got into trouble with Bathsheba because he was lounging when he should have been fighting (See 2 Samuel 11).

3. When you decide to go against godly counsel

Jehoshaphat, who for years had followed God in an exemplary fashion, chose to discount a prophet’s warning not to go to war. It cost him his life (See 2 Chronicles 18).

4. When you, in your pride, think that you are capable of winning over Satan’s “stratagems” –

Put on the full armor of Godto stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11, 13).

5. During times of stress and fatigue

Elijah hit a devastating low after his victorious but intense encounter with the 450 prophets of Baal, and after traveling a demanding day’s journey (See 1 Kings 18:37-19:4).

Many are victims of Satan in the Bible, like our dear mother EVE, CAIN, ESAU, JUDAS, ANANIAS AND SAPPHIRA among others. Their destiny was short circuited and was not fulfilled. So don’t make yourself a PREY to the enemy.

QUESTION: What steps do you need to be taking now to insure the fact that you are not Satan’s next victim… during an “opportune time?”

Don’t forget “wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall (1 Cor 10:12) (KJV). Again, as believer don’t think you cannot be tempted or fall in the processes, that is why we must frequent the throne of God to receive grace and mercy daily for the journey ahead.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
