Alleluia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! make sure you are around, be there early enough to worship God and practice His Presence all through the day in Jesus Name.

Beloveth this is the last Friday of the year, the Last PCL of the 2019, please join us to shout a resounding alleluia for all the great teaching He passed on us through this platform Praise the living Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! alleluia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beloved, coming from nativity is good but we must keep reminding our self of the seconding coming of our Jesus as He promised to do before He ascended into heaven also confirmed by an angel (Lk 24:50-51, Acts 1:11), Jesus first appearance on earth was we have seen and read as a baby (Lk 2:11-12)but in His second coming He will come as a King with His judgments and rewards, so let us always remember this great day ahead and be wise.

Considering our topic today, one can say that is our practice every PCL session, “Staying close to the Shepherd.”  In this platform, we stay at the feet of Jesus all through the week learning from the Master and also praying along, in addition on Fridays we are taught the practical ways to live out what we have been taught all through the week and we are also encouraged to go and do them.

Beloved if you agree with me, is so easy to learn but the task lies in the “doing” or “putting it to work.” That is why we tagged this session, “Practical Christian Living” the action is in doing, don’t forget! And the only way to keep staying close to the shepherd is in our “doing,” yes! when you put into practice what you have been taught and fail then you can come back again and say Father, this is where are weak, please help us!

As much as Jesus promised to be our Lord and Saviour to the end! always remember that you also have a role to play in your safe keeping, – you are to read and study the Word, prayer and built up your faith through the Living Word of God, then above all we put to work all what we have been taught and learnt.

If we fail, we come back to the Lord and keep on trying till we have mastered the act such like loving, caring, forgiveness, giving, disciplining, and so many others. Praise the Lord!

Beloved, if you don’t want to be a victim of satan, then “stay close to the Shepherd,” stay close by reading and studying the Word of God daily, practicing His Presence, always praying all manners of prayers, not forgetting the assembling of the righteous as commanded us by God. keep abiding (Jn 15:1-8).

Staying Close to the Shepherd

The King of Israel, Yahweh, is among you; you need no longer fear harm.—Zephaniah 3:15

A classic example of the way in which the divine Shepherd ministers to His children is seen in Luke 22:24-32. Jesus tells Simon Peter that Satan has sought to tempt him and sift him like wheat but that He has prayed that Peter’s faith might not fail in that moment of overwhelming testing. Where would I have been, where would you have been, but for that blessed ministry of the divine Shepherd—going before us, anticipating our circumstances, and supportively working and praying for us, so that we might not be overtaken by the enemy of our souls? If He did not minister to us in this way … where should we be?

This does not mean, of course, that the responsibility for our safety and security rest entirely on our divine Shepherd. We, too, have a responsibility—a responsibility to make sure that we keep as close to Him as we possibly can. This is the one sure place of safety. “It is always the distant sheep, the roamers, the wanderers,” says one shepherd, “which are picked off by predators in an unsuspecting moment. Sometimes the sheep is so overtaken by fear that it is too frightened to even cry out. It might give a plaintive bleat before its blood is spilled.” The divine Shepherd wants to forestall every calamity that would come our way and strives to keep our lives free from serious dangers and hazards. And, of course, our lives will be danger-free if we stay close to Him, where He can provide for us and protect us.

Prayer

My Father and my God, thank You for reminding me that although You make Yourself responsible for my safety and security, I also have a responsibility—to stay as close as I possibly can to You. Help me to do just that—today and every day. For Jesus’ sake. Amen.
