Beautiful God doing beautiful things receive our praises, receive our adorations, receive all honour, glory be to You on high in Jesus Name. Precious Father, we adore You, how Excellent are You Lord! You are Worthy to be glorify You are worthy Lord Jesus, You are Worthy to be glorify You are Worthy Lord! lion of Judea, You are Worthy to be glorify, You are Worthy Lord Jesus You are Worthy to be glorify You are worthy Lord.

Ancient of Days, how Old are You Lord, how Old are You Lord, You will never fail, Ancient of Days, how Old are You Lord, how Old are You Lord, You will never fail.

Beloved, our God deserve ceaseless praises from us all the days of our lives. We are to give Him Praise in the morning, noon and night even when we rise in the mid-night we also ought to give Him praises because all our adoration belongs to Him alone.

Did you see Jesus? Like we put it yesterday to see Jesus in all circumstance means that we have to be conversant with the Word of God. You must read, study, mediate and memorize the Word of God in order to use it against the fiery dart of the enemy when you are under attack.

Satan can throw these arrows at any time, by any disguise, through  any means, but if your heart is diligently guided by the Word of God, you will be able to withstand them and take them of your system before it rest in your mind to bear fruit.

Today, we will be considering another weapon given to us by Brother Paul  as he taught us how to defend ourselves from the attack of the satan and his cohorts. Remember He said “we are not fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day…”

We are considering the second armour as arranged by Paul -“The Breastplate of Righteousness.” It is a weapon that guides our heart which is the seat of our being. When you are heart is fearless you can take any mountain and subdue it, when you heart is filled with the Word of God you are on fire for Christ, when have your breast plate of righteousness on you will defect any fiery dart fired at you, Praise the Lord!

Are you getting excited! When you put on the breastplate of righteousness you will defeat depression, battles of the mind, fear, unworthiness and every inadequacy satan and his cohorts brings your way.

If you are not guiding your heart as supposed you will be defenseless against any assault and that very risky as you may not be withstand in the evil day (Eph 6:13).

Our righteousness is not ourselves but of God therefore don’t allow satan to intimidate by accusation (Gal 2:19-21, Phil 1:9-11, 3:9).

Are ready to wear your breastplate? Then come along with us:

Ezekiel 30:9-32:16, Psalm 132:6-12, Proverbs 28:19-22, 1 Peter 2:18-3:12

The Breastplate

May Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and may Your godly people shout for joy.—Psalm 132:9

The second piece of armor with which we are to defend ourselves against the tactics of the Devil is the breastplate of righteousness.

A soldier’s breastplate generally extended from the base of the neck to the upper part of the thighs so it would cover many important parts of the body, in particular the heart. Some commentators think that the word breastplate suggests that this piece of equipment covered only the front of the chest and thus gave no protection for the back. They deduce from this that a Christian should face the Devil and never turn his back on him, or else he will expose a part that is unguarded. It is an interesting idea, but it must not be given too much credence, for the soldier’s breastplate often covered his back as well as his front.

What spiritual lesson can we draw from the “breastplate of righteousness”? Most commentators believe that because the soldier’s breastplate primarily covered his heart, the spiritual application of this is that in Christ we have all the protection we need against negative or desolating feelings—the heart being seen as the focal point of the emotions.

What an exciting thought: by putting on the breastplate of righteousness, we have the spiritual resources to deal with all those debilitating feelings that tend to bring us down into despair—unworthiness, inadequacy, fear, and so on. When I mentioned this to a friend who asked me what I thought the breastplate of righteousness was for, he said: “It sounds too good to be true.” I replied: “It’s too good not to be true.”

Prayer

Gracious Lord and Master, how can I sufficiently thank You for providing a defense against this most difficult of problems—emotional distress. Show me how to apply Your truth to this part of my personality. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

What comes out of the heart?

How are we to guard our hearts?

Beloved, “it is too good not to be true” as the breastplate of righteousness defend and protect us from evil attacks of any form. May Spirit of God help us to stand firm on the Word of God wherein our righteousness are manifested through the engrafted Word of God stored up in our heart.

Remember to always pick up and put on as we have been advised in the previous write up. Put these message (on Armour) together and often reflect on them to keep you standing and at alert as a soldier should not get entangled with the affairs of the world (2 Tim 2:3-4).

Holy Spirit please help your children even as you guide us in the right way in Jesus Name.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
