Beloved, we are by God’s grace in a new month, full of expectations from all quarters even from your very self (laughing).

Today is our first prayer meeting in this wonderful month of everlasting Consolation through our Lord Jesus. Our Lord is good! All the time! We thank God because it is not about us but all about Him. Praise God!

What are the desires of your heart dearly beloved? Take a Look at the text of the day, what did you see? “Take delight in the Lord and He will give you your heart desires.”

Are you read to have your heart desires granted? Then take your delight in the Lord.

How do you take delight in the Lord someone is asking? You take delight in the Lord though praying, reading and meditating in His Word, working in His vineyard by engaging in His service, beloveth our Lord is good, all the time.

It is time to pray and breakthrough. Whatever you are desiring, whatever you are believing God for beloved, this is time to stand up and get it but you must learn to lean on God. You must learn to believe Him. You must learn to pray.

So let’s get going:

The Desires of Your Heart, Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires.—Psalm 37:4

Your relationship with God ought to bring you more joy, satisfaction, and pleasure than any other relationship, activity, or material possession you have. Scripture exhorts you to delight yourself in the Lord, finding your greatest pleasure in God and the things dear to His heart.

How can you find pleasure in what God enjoys? Only as you spend time with Him will you begin to take delight in the things God loves. As you spend intimate time with God and allow Him to show you your situation from His perspective, you will begin to see things as God sees them. As you adjust yourself to God, your heart will begin to desire the same things God’s heart desires.

When you pray, you will find yourself asking for the very things God desires. Matters foremost on God’s heart will be preeminent in yours. Your first request in prayer will not be for yourself, but for God’s name to be exalted and His kingdom to be extended (Matt. 6:9–10).

Have you been asking God to give you the desires of your heart without first seeking to understand what is on His heart? God places this important requirement for those who pray: that we seek His priorities and make them our own. This great qualifier prevents us from asking out of selfishness. As we find joy in the Lord, we will see what is truly important, and we will long for these things as the Father does in Jesus Name.

Beloved, there is a caution for us here, that we discover the desire of God for us so that we will not ask out of selfishness but in line with His own desires and plan for us.

Beloved, we will see Jesus, if that is your desire too let’s get going:

“We would see Jesus.” John 12:21

Evermore the worldling’s cry is, Who will show us any good?” He seeks satisfaction in earthly comforts, enjoyments, and riches. But the quickened sinner knows of only one good. “O that I knew where I might find HIM!” When he is truly awakened to feel his guilt, if you could pour the gold of India at his feet, he would say, “Take it away: I want to find HIM.”

It is a blessed thing for a man, when he has brought his desires into a focus, so that they all centre in one object. When he has fifty different desires, his heart resembles a mere of stagnant water, spread out into a marsh, breeding miasma and pestilence; but when all his desires are brought into one channel, his heart becomes like a river of pure water, running swiftly to fertilize the fields.

Happy is he who hath one desire, if that one desire be set on Christ, though it may not yet have been realized. If Jesus be a soul’s desire, it is a blessed sign of divine work within. Such a man will never be content with mere ordinances. He will say, “I want Christ; I must have Him—mere ordinances are of no use to me; I want Himself; do not offer me these; you offer me the empty pitcher, while I am dying of thirst; give me water, or I die. Jesus is my soul’s desire. I would see Jesus!”

Is this thy condition, my reader, at this moment? Hast thou but one desire, and is that after Christ? Then thou art not far from the kingdom of heaven. Hast thou but one wish in thy heart, and that one wish that thou mayst be washed from all thy sins in Jesus’ blood? Canst thou really say, “I would give all I have to be a Christian; I would give up everything I have and hope for, if I might but feel that I have an interest in Christ”?

Then, despite all thy fears, be of good cheer, the Lord loveth thee, and thou shalt come out into daylight soon, and rejoice in the liberty wherewith Christ makes men free.

Beloved, is all about our desire today. What are your heart desires? Are they outside God or in line with His plan? Someone is asking how to know if His desires are after God or not.

You will know from your cheque book. The way you spend your time and how you react when issues of the Kingdom is being discuss.

God will help us that our help desire will be on God and all that is pleasing to Him. Thereby delighting ourselves in Him and He will grant us our heart desires.

If you are ready to delight yourself in the Lord through praying, dancing, sing song unto Him, then your desires will be granted as you pray today.

Father, as your children come before you today and delight themselves in You Father, answer them and grant their request in Jesus Name. Glory be to God in the highest.

Beloved it is time to pray. Pray to break through.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
