“The Second Thought”

Who is on the Lord side I want to know, I am on the Lord side. Who is on the Lord side I want to know, I am on the Lord side. I am on the Lord side, my Lord is on my side. As long as I live, as long as stay, I am on the Lord side.// I will lift up Jesus, higher. I will lift up Jesus, higher. O Jehovah, Alpha Omega I will lift up Jesus, higher. O Jehovah, Alpha Omega, I will lift up Jesus higher.

Father we lift You higher far above every other gods. Praise be Thy Name alone in Jesus Name. Jesus is the sweetest Name I know, He is always just the same, O praises His Holy Name, that is the reason why I love Him, Jesus is the sweetest Name I know. Indeed Father, Your Name is sweeter than the sweetest, you are higher than the highest. You are greater than the greatest. Praise be your Name on high in Jesus Name.

Beloved, the Name of the Lord is Excellent; the Name of the Lord is Wonderful. Glory be to God on high. Thank God for Who He is. I bow and worship before the throne of mercy. Praise be Jesus !!!!

Today is for our prayer session and am so sure that You will never leave the same way you came. Amen! The Hand of the Lord will meet you at the point of your needs and will cover your shame in Jesus Name.

Today’s text is one of the cardinal point of this ministry, the Lord so impress it my heart at the beginning of this ministry and I still holding on to it even till the end by the grace of God. It’s   important that you and I guide our heart so well so that we will be everything God have planned for us to be. The devil is so destructive that he use negative, deceptive and destructive words and weapon against us, that is why it is so important that we guide our heart lest the enemy penetrates it and destroy us.

One of the easiest way to do that is what we are studying today backed up with prayer and we are good to go. Beloved, what are we without the sword of the Spirit? Do you have an idea what a solider does with sword? He uses it to defend himself. Likewise we are asked to guide our heart using the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.

We are not only going to gloss over it we should also meditate on it, that is to get the Spirit behind the Word. For every Word of God there is a Spirit behind it and as we were told at the beginning of this month that the Word of God do not void to God rather it must perform that which it is sent to do.

Therefore when you read the Word, you should meditate therein till it becomes alive in you that way the enemy of your soul will not get near to you. You will use your sword to defend your Spirit, soul and body. It helps you to root out all that was planted by God living inside of you. Therefore let us hold fast our confession and it shall well with you (Heb 4:14) Praise the Lord.

“The Second Thought”

My son, pay attention to my words; listen closely to my sayings. Don’t lose sight of them; keep them within your heart.—Proverbs 4:20-21

“To get the best out of life,” said Pascal, “great matters have to be given a second thought.” Meditation is just that—giving biblical truths a second thought. If you have been thinking that the way to get the best out of the Bible is by reading it, studying it, or memorizing it, then I urge you to think again. I have found that the way to get the best out of the Bible is by meditating on it.

Reading, studying, and memorizing the Bible are, in the main, intellectual exercises which bring spiritual results. Meditation is not primarily an intellectual exercise but a devotional exercise, a way by which the Word of God is carried into the spiritual digestive system so that it can be translated into spiritual nourishment and energy.

Be careful that you do not misunderstand me here. I am not saying that reading, studying, and memorizing the Bible are not important spiritual exercises. I strongly advocate them. But, it is possible to do all these things and yet fail to draw from the Scriptures the spiritual nourishment that God has put within them. This comes largely from meditation.

To ensure that this matter is crystal clear, let’s go over it again: meditation is the process by which we take a text, thought, or phrase from the Word of God and roll it around in our mind, passing it backward and forward, letting it go out of conscious thought, bringing it back again into consciousness, prodding it, absorbing it, admiring it over and over again until its inherent power pervades our whole personality. God has gone into His Word, and God has to come out of it. Meditation is the way.

O Father, if great matters need a second thought, then help me to slow down and take time to meditate on the truths that are contained in Your precious Word. For Jesus’ sake. Amen.
