Father, we thank You, we bless Your Holy Name, we adore You King of kings, You are more what anybody can call You, blessed be Thy Name O God! Receive our praise this morning, receive our adoration, we bow before Your Throne, be Thou exalted forever and ever in Jesus Name.
Beloveth, we are still in the season of the out-pouring of the Holy Spirit on the disciple so we must fully part-take of these same blessings as the Lord will manifest Himself strong on our behalf and be everything You made us to be. Praise the Lord!
In our teaching today, we will discover that the prophetic utterance of prophet Joel came to past in the lives of the apostles and so it is still happening even in our time. The apostles heed to the instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ to stay at the upper room until they are induces with power from above and they did tarry till received power to take the gospel of our Lord Jesus far and near.
Today the Spirit of God is still making rounds amongst us to fulfill the Pentecost assignment of which the prophet prophesied in his days. Beloved, we serve a Living God, whatever He says He is able to bring it pass irrespective of when and how. For me and my household, we will serve Him the Lord forever. He is everything to us, He is awesome, glory to Him forever.
Have you receive the out-pouring of the Holy Spirit? Beautiful, but if you have not, here is another opportunity to do just that, ask the Spirit of God to brood on you and you will receive Him as He is available to as many as that want. “For the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” Rom 5:5.
Beloveth, open yourself up for the in-filling of the Holy Spirit, He is here present even as you are reading. May He rest upon you afresh in Jesus Name. Receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit and be part of God’s kingdom work in Jesus Name (Rom 12:4-8, 1 Cor 12:1-11. )

The Young and the Old
I will pour out My Spirit on all humanity; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.—Acts 2:17
A barrier that went down in the upper room was that between the young and the old. Peter pointed out that what had happened in the upper room was the fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy, in which the prophet had declared that the day would come when young and old alike would receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. “This is the day the prophet spoke about!” said Peter. “It’s arrived!”
“There has always been a sacred age,” said someone, “—old age.” In almost all religions, power and sanctity have been associated with the old. This is why many religions tend to be backward-looking rather than forward-looking. In the upper room there were young men (I think we can assume this) who received the gift of the Holy Spirit in the same way as their elders. What a dynamic this produced. Young and old, moving together in the power of the Spirit. The old would naturally want to conserve the values and good things they had come to love and respect, while the young would want to move these values into greater realms and make them more widely operative.
One writer said, “The Christian faith demands radicalism as well as conservatism to fully express itself.” Young and old combine to fully express the nature of the Christian faith, for conservatism or radicalism on their own are weak. Together, however, they become strong and powerful.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I am thankful that both young and old can be used in the kingdom. Blend the conservatism of the old with the radicalism of the young, so that this generation might see a new Pentecost. For Jesus’ sake. Amen.

Are you radical for Jesus? As much as conservatism is good for Christian faith, we also need radicalism to fully carry out the work of God committed in our hands. We will fail God; we will not fail our generation. The Apostles did not fail God neither did they failed us; therefore we must fully exhibits same attitude to live for Jesus. Praise the Lord!!!!!!
