Heavenly Father, we Your children bow before Your presence to acknowledge Your faithfulness in our lives for the past months and we are trusting You for the new month. Your Strong Right Hand will stir the ship for us and You will not let us fail, even in the face of trails and temptation, You will be there for us.
Dearly beloved, you are welcome to our month of “All -ROUND FRUITFULNESS” (Jn 15: 5 &7). By God’s grace it is going to be an interesting month. Where ever you are expecting an increase, pay attention as the Spirit of God will move in a mighty power to settle as many as that are positioned to be lifted. It does matter the areas you are expecting the move of God but am send to tell you that as many levels as you desire, the Lord will deliver to you. Just the lay burden at His feet and you will be amazed at what will happen in and around you.
Another thing you need do is to focus on Him. Remember, He can never be weary of your asking, just ensure that you keep close to the mercy seat and you will be blessed abundantly. He is the God of heaven and earth, all things belong to Him:
“My expectation is from Him.” Psalm 62:5
It is the believer’s privilege to use this language. If he is looking for aught from the world, it is a poor “expectation” indeed. But if he looks to God for the supply of his wants, whether in temporal or spiritual blessings, his expectation” will not be a vain one. Constantly he may draw from the bank of faith, and get his need supplied out of the riches of God’s lovingkindness.
This I know, I had rather have God for my banker than all the Rothschilds. My Lord never fails to honour His promises; and when we bring them to His throne, He never sends them back unanswered. Therefore I will wait only at His door, for He ever opens it with the hand of munificent grace. At this hour I will try Him anew.
But we have “expectations” beyond this life. We shall die soon; and then our “expectation is from Him.” Do we not expect that when we lie upon the bed of sickness He will send angels to carry us to His bosom? We believe that when the pulse is faint, and the heart heaves heavily, some angelic messenger shall stand and look with loving eyes upon us, and whisper, “Sister spirit, come away!” As we approach the heavenly gate, we expect to hear the welcome invitation, “Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”
We are expecting harps of gold and crowns of glory; we are hoping soon to be amongst the multitude of shining ones before the throne; we are looking forward and longing for the time when we shall be like our glorious Lord—for “We shall see Him as He is.” Then if these be thine “expectations,”
O my soul, live for God; live with the desire and resolve to glorify Him from whom cometh all thy supplies, and of whose grace in thy election, redemption, and calling, it is that thou hast any “expectation” of coming glory.
Dear reader, is possible your thoughts are running wide and you are visualizing how this will be. You need not to worry, for you may not look like it, you may not be qualified nor be equal to it but Your Heavenly Father is up to it. So relax, watch and see what the Lord will do. His favour will lift you where your certificate cannot take you. He will bless that your child, husband, wife, parents and siblings in that their desires.
Hear me child of God “Your God is Able” So, I enjoin you to be spiritually sensitive so as to see and hear the leading of the Holy Spirit:
“But your eyes are blessed because they do see, and your ears because they do hear!”—Matthew 13:16
When you became a Christian, God gave you spiritual sight and hearing so you could begin experiencing His presence and activity all around you. The Holy Spirit helps you to develop these spiritual senses as you walk with Him. Spiritual sensitivity to God is a gift that must be accepted and exercised. Scripture indicates that those who are spiritually dead cannot see or understand spiritual things (Matt. 13:14–15). Without spiritual eyes, you can be right in the midst of a mighty act of God and not recognize it.
There is a radical difference between seeing your surroundings from a human perspective and seeing life through spiritual eyes. Non-Christians will see world events around them and become confused. You will look at the same events, recognize the activity of God, and adjust your life to Him. When you meet a person who is seeking God, you will recognize the convicting work of the Holy Spirit and adjust your life to God’s activity (Rom. 3:11). Someone without spiritual perception will encounter that same person and not grasp the eternal significance of what is happening in that person’s life. Others will hear of new philosophies and trends in society and not know how to discern the truth. You will hear God’s voice over the din of the world’s voices, and you will keep your bearings in the midst of the confusing circumstances.
Sin dulls your senses, ultimately leaving you spiritually blind and deaf. Do not be content with merely seeing with physical eyes and hearing with natural ears but not sensing what God is doing. Ask God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to sensitize you to His activity all around you.
For the fulfillment of this prophesy avoid anything that will hinder you from being a partaker of this great promise. Absent and flee from all sinful activities, keep away from evil and malicious company.
I pray for you that “your eyes and ears not be dull of seeing and hearing from the Lord in Jesus Name”. Amen!
