Beloveth, still talking about God’s love and today we will be considering ways we are called to show love to our Father even as did to us.

Before you get into the study below, will mention one or more ways you delights your God. You can deceive a man but you will never deceive God because He knowesth your innermost being. He saw you when you are being form in the womb, He made you. If you are obedient He knows; if you are not, He also knows.

God’s love make a man available for His services and obedient to His Word but when a man refuse to accept Jesus as his personal Lord and Saviour, it becomes difficult for such a person to love God why because it is the Spirit of God in a man that makes him to love God.

Like we said earlier love is more than an emotion. Love is more chemistry. Love is real and real love must be demonstrated in action (1 Jn 3:18-19). So caring for the poor and the oppressed is an essential and inescapable element of the gospel and demonstration of our love for God.

We believe its part of God’s design for believers to care for the poor because it is God’s heart to serve those who cannot repay us. When believers operate with love that requires nothing in return, it brings about the witness of Christ at the cross. In God’ economy truly self-denying love is an attractive love. (Matt 5:16)

Once we have become aware of the PAIN of our community, we must identify what we fundamentally want to see change. What stubborn realities need to be addressed by a loving Christ-centered community? (Matt 25:42-43, Gal 2:10, Eph 2:10).

Dr Martin Luther King Jr made the following statement: “We must discover the power of love, the redemptive power of love. And when we do that, we will make of this old world a new world, for love is the only way”

God does not call us to address every need or all PAIN, but calls us to do our part. (Phil 2:20-21, Prov 11:11 Phil 2:1-4, 1 Tim 6:18-19).

Beloveth we can change our cities….

One life at a time.

One need at a time.

Love is the only way. love revives a tried world.

Ask God to increase your capacity to love.

Love moves us from mere concern to compassion. Jesus was moved by compassion for the hurting people. He was aware of their pain (Matt 9:35-36). So what can you do especially at this season of love?

Come along for more ways to show our love for our God:

“Whereby they have made Thee glad.” Psalm 45:8

And who are thus privileged to make the Saviour glad? His church—His people. But is it possible? He makes us glad, but how can we make Him glad? By our love. Ah! we think it so cold, so faint; and so, indeed, we must sorrowfully confess it to be, but it is very sweet to Christ. Hear His own eulogy of that love in the golden Canticle: “How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine!”

See, loving heart, how He delights in you. When you lean your head on His bosom, you not only receive, but you give Him joy; when you gaze with love upon His all-glorious face, you not only obtain comfort, but impart delight.

Our praise, too gives Him joy—not the song of the lips alone, but the melody of the heart’s deep gratitude. Our gifts, too, are very pleasant to Him; He loves to see us lay our time, our talents, our substance upon the altar, not for the value of what we give, but for the sake of the motive from which the gift springs. To Him the lowly offerings of His saints are more acceptable than the thousands of gold and silver.

Holiness is like frankincense and myrrh to Him. Forgive your enemy, and you make Christ glad; distribute of your substance to the poor, and He rejoices; be the means of saving souls, and you give Him to see of the travail of His soul; proclaim His gospel, and you are a sweet savour unto Him; go among the ignorant and lift up the cross, and you have given Him honour.

It is in your power even now to break the alabaster box, and pour the precious oil of joy upon His head, as did the woman of old, whose memorial is to this day set forth wherever the gospel is preached. Will you be backward then?

Will you not perfume your beloved Lord with the myrrh and aloes, and cassis, of your heart’s praise? Yes, ye ivory palaces, ye shall hear the songs of the saints!

Beloveth, the love God in us will help us to do all of those things mentioned above and many more. Let us as God to increase His love in our heart and that we will in return show same to those around us.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
