October 25

What a Wonderful father You are, in everything we give You thanks. We are grateful to You not for what You have done, yet to do or will never do but for Who You are. Thank You most gracious God, blessed be Your Name alone. You are more than Able to do that which no man can do for us. You are so dependable that You cannot fail Your children. Father we look up to You for You know the best for us, help us to key our faith in You.

Beloved, the month of October is ticking away and some things you planed, in fact you were so confident that it must happen this month, gradually the month is slipping away and you cannot put your finger to it.

What are you thinking at this point? Someone threw the question back at me asking, Evangelist, what will you do? That is interesting, okay you want hear what I will do, “I will rejoice”. I chose to rejoice because in everything my bible said “rejoice” and am convince that is the right thing to do. Come along let’s dig deeper:

I Will Rejoice!the fig tree does not bud and there is no fruit on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will triumph in the Lord; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation!—Habakkuk 3:17–18

At times it seems that everything around you is collapsing. Endeavors you invested in may fail. People to whom you minister may disappoint you. The business or career you worked hard to build may crumble. These times, as difficult as they are, are opportunities to stop and examine what is truly important to you.

Habakkuk witnessed the collapse of most of what mattered to him. Yet through the loss, failure, and disappointment, he was able to distinguish between what was precious to him and what was transitory and empty. He came to the point where he could sincerely say that even if everything around him failed, he still would rejoice in God. If the fig tree bore no fruit; if the vine produced no grapes; if the flocks and herds stopped reproducing; he would still praise God. His praise might not come easily, as he watched everything fall short of his expectations, but he would praise God nonetheless. Habakkuk could not make fig trees produce figs. He could not control the productivity of the flocks and herds, but he could control his own response to God. He chose to praise the Lord.

Do things seem to be falling apart around you? You can still praise God. Your praise for Him does not depend on the success of your endeavors but on God’s nature and His love and faithfulness to you. Ask God to help you look past worldly concerns to understand the reasons you have to praise Him.

Sincerely, this is ministering to me now and am very sure am not alone here, let us give God a high praise and watch out what happens next. Paul and Silas praise God and something happened; the prison gate opened. The walls of Jericho came crumbled at the praise the children of Israel. What about winning a war with cymbals, timbrel and harp; have you forgotten Jehoshaphat?

I discovered something recently that I want to share with you. Do you know that you are trouble to Satan and his agents when you take a firm “decision” concerning an issue? They will bombard you with all manner of things including offering it free to you, so that you will go back on your word. Do you want to triumph?  Ask God to give you stability. How? Someone is asking? You need Godly stability to succeed in life:

“And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brazen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the Lord’ Jer. 15:20

Stability in the fear and faith of God will make a man like a wall of brass, which no one can batter down or break. Only the Lord can make such; but we need such men in the church, and in the world, but specially in the pulpit.

Against uncompromising men of truth this age of shams will fight tooth and nail. Nothing seems to offend Satan and his seed like decision. They attack holy firmness even as the Assyrians besieged fenced cities. The joy is that they cannot prevail against those whom God has made strong in His strength. Carried about with every wind of doctrine, others only need to be blown upon, and away they go; but those who love the doctrines of grace, because they possess the grace of the doctrines, stand like rocks in the midst of raging seas.

Whence this stability? “I am with thee, saith the Lord”: that is the true answer. Jehovah will save and deliver faithful souls from all the assaults of the adversary. Hosts are against us, but the Lord of hosts is with us. We dare not budge an inch; for the Lord Himself holds us in our place, and there we will abide for ever.

Beware faithful one, don’t be carried away by every wind of doctrine the bible warned us, what decision are making today? Test will come, if you withstand it; you will have a testimony.

Till I come your way next week, let’s keep the praise gate high and you will be sure of your dividend.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
