What is Wisdom? According Encarta dictionary it is defined as – Good sense: the ability to make sensible decisions and judgments based on personal knowledge and experience. It can also be seen as Wise Decision: good sense shown in a way of thinking, judgments, or action. It is also defined as –Sayings: ancient teachings or sayings.

What did the bible says about wisdom- wisdom promises godliness to her children Prov 2:1. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom; yea, with all Thy getting get understanding. Prov 4:7.

Beloved, who giveth wisdom? Read Exo 36:2; Deut 34:9; Dan 1:17. Therefor what do you do when you think you are lacking wisdom James has this to say in Jas 1:5. – And if any one of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask God for it, who gives with open hand to all men, and without upbraiding; and it will be given him. (James 1:5 (WEY).

We have wisdom of the world and that of heaven read Jas 3:15-17. How is valuable is wisdom to us. Prov 16:16- How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! Yea, to get understanding is rather to be chosen than silver ( Prov 16:16 (ASV).

Beloved, as we go through the remaining part of this year is so importation for us to check how wise are we. What is hindering us from being what has destined for us? Are you wise in your own eyes or you are ruled by the Wisdom from above? (Prov 3:7).

Is only the Wisdom from God that will help us to pull through the challenges of life? The world will teach you all manner of wickedness but tagged “wisdom.” But the Word of God is what is expected to rule our heart. Our God is good and is all wise then let Him rule your heart in all your decision.

“Yet wisdom is vindicated by all her children.”—Luke 7:35

The world is full of “experts.” There are people everywhere who want to convince you of the wisdom of their opinion. Yet God says that it is not the one who declares his viewpoint the most loudly or vociferously who is the wisest, but the one who is vindicated over time.

Wisdom is not proven by argument or debate. Wisdom is proven over time. Some people adamantly proclaim that their opinion is best. Regardless of how convincingly these people defend their viewpoint, time is the best judge of their wisdom. The result of a practice proves its validity, not how loudly it is promoted.

When you seek to obey what God has told you, you will sometimes meet resistance and criticism from others who disagree with the wisdom of your actions. Your immediate response may be the urge to vindicate yourself. However, if you wait patiently, time will reveal the wisdom of your actions far better than you could through argument.

Through the ages, the wisdom found in God’s Word has been tested and proven true. It is critical that you measure everything you hear against the Scriptures. Trends in psychology and philosophy come and go, but God’s Word is timeless.

Whenever you share an opinion in counseling someone else, make sure that it comes from the Scripture and not merely from your best thinking. As long as you base your life choices on the Word of God, time will be your defender and will validate the wisdom of your choices.

If, over time, you clearly see you are wrong, ask God’s forgiveness and seek a fresh word from God through the Scripture. Then obey that word and watch to see God confirm His wisdom in your life.

The Richest Person In Babylon

In an upside down world, where lunatics often reign, and personal safety remains uncertain; where calamity looms from every quarter, and I am incessantly bombarded and lied to by media and marketing “spin doctors”, God’s Word stands firm as the one stronghold upon which I can stake my life. Fathom this:

· “The law of the Lord is perfect… ” (blameless, complete, unblemished, intact). Can you think of anything in your world that can begin to compete with that claim? I can’t. And the effect of that truth upon my life?

It “restores (turns back, recalls) my soul,” which is prone toward seduction, wandering and duplicity.

· “The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy” (faithful, lasting, firm, established. Like a door post). What, let me ask you, in our defective world, can you point to that is “trustworthy”? Precious little, I would guess. And the effect of that truth upon my life?

It makes the “simple (the easily seduced, silly, foolish [Hey! That’s me!]) exceedingly wise.”

I don’t know about you, but in this world of charlatans, nutzoid fruitcakes and wolves, I need His exceeding wisdom to make it through life’s variegated minefields. (Matthew 10:16; James 1:5-8)

· “The precepts of the Lord are right” (straight). No devious doublespeak here, because His Word never wavers. It can be counted on. (Joshua 21:45) And the effects of that truth upon my life?

It “rejoices” the heart. That is, it is an influence that makes me glad. Even gleesome!

Again, in a world of terrorists, downsizing, gyrating currencies, car bomb explosions, and the specter of global warming, isn’t it nice to know that there is a source that can cheer my shopworn soul?

· The Word of God is “more precious than goldsweeter than honey.” And the effects of that truth upon my life?

I am warned and greatly rewarded. (See Proverbs 3:16-18; 6:22, 23; Psalm 119)

So, my fellow pilgrim, are you regularly immersing your easily bartered, battered soul into the ocean of His love? A love that is revealed to us through unrushed, attentive, and prayerful processing of His Truth? If so, you are indeed THE RICHEST PERSON IN BABYLON!

If not, you are A SPIRITUAL PAUPER IN A “WACKO WORLD.”

Beloved, let’s embrace the Wisdom from above and become the richest person in Babylon by immersing yourself in the Word of God and run away from being a spiritual pauper in a wacko world.

This week is declared blessed, go and return with testimonies at the end of the week.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
