Beloved, how are doing? Quite an interesting week experience if you ask me. Right from the start of this week the Lord has been teaching us something new and installing in us deeper knowledge of Him, aren’t we blessed dearly beloved, that we drink water from the Fountain not from cistern Oh! Can somebody Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In one of teachings this week we pointed that Elijah asked that water be poured upon the sacrifice when it was turn to prove that his God is the Living God before he called on Him to answer by fire. What a great faith. Beloved, this was the witness in my spirit by the Spirit of God – that “water” is our Lord Jesus Christ. So as the prophet called upon God and He descended with fire representing God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, so at that moment what the Prophet did was bring the Trinity into action, and God honoured him (Zech 13:1, Rev 21:6, Isa 55:1, Jn 7:37, Act 2:1-4).

Beloved, we started this week with teachings on our Maker, the Creator of the whole world. And as week progress we learnt many significant things that will help us to grow our faith and yesterday we were told to always run with our shield of faith, however today, we are will be going a step further, we will be learning how to stay entirely safe by wearing or put in another way “putting on the whole armor of God.”

Beloved, we are not called to be ‘wobbly Christians.’ We are called to be bold and strong in the Lord. We are gifted with the Spirit of God therefore we can call Abba Father. We are not called to surrender in fear to satan and his cohorts but as a child of God must be bold as lion, because our Father is the Lion.

We therefore put on the whole armor of God to defend the battle ahead of us. We have to be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might, declaring with boldness the Word of God. Beloved, we are not to be selective in our armories, David came against goliath in the Name of God so we must also. To stay spiritual and physical strong and healthy we must put on the “the Whole Armor of God” (1 Sam 17:45, Eph 6:10-18) Praise the Lord!!!!!

“Wobbly Christians”

So let us discard the deeds of the darkness and put on the armor of light.—Romans 13:12

The armor of God will not do us any good unless it is worn in its entirety. We must put on the whole armor of God, not just a few of the pieces we think are most suitable for us.

This again is something of crucial importance. If we are to be steadfast soldiers in the Lord’s army, if we are to avoid becoming what John Stott calls “wobbly Christians who have no firm foothold in Christ,” then we must put on the entire equipment which God provides for us. We cannot—we dare not—select parts of the armor and say: “I don’t really like the helmet of salvation, but I don’t mind wearing the breastplate of righteousness.” You can do that, of course, but if you do, then you must know exactly what will happen to you—you will be overcome by Satan. The moment you say: “I need the breastplate, but I don’t need the helmet,” you are defeated. You need it all—the whole armor of God.

You see, our understanding of what is involved in spiritual defense against Satan is extremely inadequate. We just don’t have sufficient knowledge of what is involved. It is God alone who knows our enemy, and it is God alone who knows exactly how to protect us so that we remain firm and steadfast when Satan and his forces hurl themselves against us. So learn this lesson now before going any further—every single piece of God’s armor is essential, and to select some and leave out the others is to take the route to failure and defeat.

Prayer

O God, deliver me from the attitude of pride that seeks to put my ideas ahead of Your ideas. You know more about what I need to protect me from the enemy than I do. Help me ever to trust Your judgment. In Jesus’ name I ask it. Amen.

What was a necessary requirement for Paul’s ministry?

What are we called to do?

When we fail to put on the whole armor of God our defense against satan will be inadequate, Jesus commanded us that live by the every Word of God. therefore to stay spiritual alert we must daily read the word of God, study and mediated therein. Don’t give room for luke-warmness. Don’t be a lazy Christian, always desire to feed fat from Father’s table to remain steadfast in God. read the Word of God, go out and preach the Word – in word or action.

Beloved, we have a loving Father, Whose thought/plan towards us is for good and not evil. We must stay very close in fellowship to Him so that we will always hear and know His mind in all things. May God help us in Jesus Name.

See you next week by God’s grace and have a wonderful weekend.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
