Yes Father that is our heartfelt cries unto this day. Thank You Lord for the gift of Christ into our lives. Thank You for saving us from eternally damnation. Lord, You are Great, there is none like unto Thee, blessed be Thy Holy Name forever and ever. Thank You for the miracle of sleeping and waking up this morning. Thank You for the good weather You have given us, Let honour be given to Your Name forever and ever in Jesus Name.
Beloved, we started yesterday on the theme of the month “Divine Encounter” with one of the diverses encounter, the Spirit of the Lord have in stock for us this month-: ‘Salvation.’ And am sure you were bless.
The truth about the Word of God is that is new every morning and refreshing to the souls that embraces it. So even if you have experience new birth before now, there is still this joy that permute the heart whenever you come across it. The experience is ever green and fresh. Praise God.
That takes us the topic of today “Yea must be born again”. That is another name for new birth/regeneration and so many other names you may come across. Are you looking forward to eternity “you must be born again?” Are hoping to see Jesus at the end of your life here? Beloved, Jesus said, ‘you must be born again.’ (Jn 3:3).
This is a ticket to eternal life. Read Jn 3:5. What does it say? So it is not a decision to put off, it is as a matter of fact something you must do now! Now! Is the acceptable time.
l promised yesterday to bring some facts about the new birth/ regeneration to help us with further understanding. We will be discussing two out of many today and others as the day go by. Firstly, we will be considering – the Reality of the new birth and secondly – Simplicity of the new birth.
The Reality of the new birth can be seen in the gospel account of John chapter 3 verse one to nine- there Jesus made it clear that new birth is real. As the physical birth is real; so also the spiritual birth. Therefore, it is not a feeble but an experience. Why do I say that? We are going to cite some examples from the bible that will help us.
Peter had an encounter with Jesus that made him realize how unclean he was. Matthew, the publican also had a radical change when he encountered Jesus. The thief on the cross as this to say to Jesus ´Remember me Lord, when You come into your Kingdom (Lk 23:42). Because of his faith, he was born again because Jesus declared him fit for the kingdom. Ask him whether or not it was a real experience.
The Samaritan woman also had an encountered with Jesus at the well, and hers’ was a real experience because afterward she ran back to the village bring men/women to Christ because to her nobody has ever told her who she was before then. (John 4)
Paul of Tarsus will also testify to the reality of new birth (Acts 9:1-5).
Furthermore, let us consider “The simplicity of the New Birth: in John 3:4 – Nicodemus asked Jesus, “how can he get born again having been out of his mother’s womb. But Jesus gave the answer in verse 5- Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5 (KJV).
He also explained it further in John 4:10b, – …Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. John 4:10 (KJV);
While in verse 14 – But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. John 4:14 (KJV).
In John 6:63 has this to say- It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: John 6:63 (KJV).
Beloveth, we are born again by Word of God., the Living Word of God. The Spirit of God take the Word of God and reveals the Son of God. And when you trust Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour, a miracle takes place in your heart- regeneration, you are born again.
Remember yesterday, I mentioned that you can only be born again by help of God. So therefore, the two spiritual parents who accomplish this birth are the Spirit of God and the Word of God.
Wow! You have no contribution to it. It cost you nothing, it is absolutely free. It is not by works but it is free dearly beloved it is free; it is by the mercies of God (Tit 3:5).
Beloved, do you want to give your life to Jesus? Are you ready to receive this gift from our Lord Jesus that guarantees eternal life? I did mine long ago, and up till now the Spirit of God has been faithful in keeping me.
Beloved, it is possible your case is that of falling and rising (you accept Christ today and tomorrow you are down again, deep in sin). Have you backslidden? The reason is because you think you can do it by you self (Rom 7:14-25). Can you surrender yourself to Jesus right now and ask the Spirit of God to help you? (Read Rom 8) and is done. Remember the thief on the cross, when he asked Jesus, Jesus granted is request, so will He grant yours now in His Name Amen!

Regeneration is a subject which lies at the very basis of salvation, and we should be very diligent to take heed that we really are “born again,” for there are many who fancy they are, who are not.
Be assured that the name of a Christian is not the nature of a Christian; and that being born in a Christian land, and being recognized as professing the Christian religion is of no avail whatever, unless there be something more added to it—the being “born again,” is a matter so mysterious, that human words cannot describe it.
“The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.” Nevertheless, it is a change which is known and felt: known by works of holiness, and felt by a gracious experience. This great work is supernatural.
It is not an operation which a man performs for himself: a new principle is infused, which works in the heart, renews the soul, and affects the entire man. It is not a change of my name, but a renewal of my nature, so that I am not the man I used to be, but a new man in Christ Jesus.
To wash and dress a corpse is a far different thing from making it alive: man can do the one, God alone can do the other. If you have then, been “born again,” your acknowledgment will be, “O Lord Jesus, the everlasting Father, Thou art my spiritual Parent; unless Thy Spirit had breathed into me the breath of a new, holy, and spiritual life, I had been to this day ‘dead in trespasses and sins.’
My heavenly life is wholly derived from Thee, to Thee I ascribe it. ‘My life is hid with Christ in God.’ It is no longer I who live, but Christ who liveth in me.” May the Lord enable us to be well assured on this vital point, for to be unregenerate is to be unsaved, unpardoned, without God, and without hope.
Did you read it ‘to be unregenerated is to be unsaved, unpardoned, without God, and without hope. Beloved Jesus is here to break down the fetters that held you bound, he did it in the past; He will do it again. Jesus is same yesterday; today and forever (Heb 13:8). He loose fetters; He loose those in the prisoners free:
“The Lord looseth the prisoners.” Ps. 146:7
He has done it. Remember Joseph, Israel in Egypt, Manasseh, Jeremiah, Peter, and many others. He can do it still. He breaks the bars of brass with a word, and snaps the fetters of iron with a look. He is doing it.
In a thousand places troubled ones are coming forth to light and enlargement. Jesus still proclaims the opening of the prison to them that are bound. At this moment doors are flying back and fetters are dropping to the ground.
He will delight to set you free, dear friend, if at this time you are mourning because of sorrow, doubt, and fear. It will be a joy to Jesus to give you liberty. It will give Him as great a pleasure to loose you as it will be a pleasure to you to be loosed.
No, you have not to snap the iron band: the Lord Himself will do it. Only trust Him, and He will be your Emancipator. Believe in Him in spite of the stone walls, or the manacles of iron. Satan cannot hold you, sin cannot enchain you, even despair cannot bind you, if you will now believe in the Lord Jesus, and in the freeness of His grace, and the fullness of His power to save.
Defy the enemy, and let the word now before you be your song of deliverance: “Jehovah looseth the prisoners.”
Yes you will not be bound again. Satan cannot hold you bound, sin shall not hold you bound any longer because Jesus went to the cross for you.
Accept him now and live everlasting. If you choose to obey the Lord, your life will be spared, and all will go well for you. but if you refuse to surrender, the Lord will do what is pleasing to Him concerning you. (Jer 38:20).
Beloved, always remember that being born again is the Key to eternal life. and you sing along with me this song of praise- great change since I know the Lord! great change since I know the Lord!…
