If it has not been for God we will have perish but thanks be to God for mercies, protections and safety in Jesus name, glory be to God in Jesus Name.

Beloved, the Lord at the beginning of the month declared His Guidance and by the Spirit of God we got revelation that we having double blessings from above. God guidance cannot be without His Presence, therefore in the second month of the year 2020, the Lord is not only going to lead us, His Presence will also go before us, alleluia Amen! Our theme text for the month Ps 23 in verse 4 says” yea , though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:… beloved, we will fear no evil as we walk through the month even beyond as God’s Presence will forever be with us according to His Word to us in Jesus Name.

Beloved, God’s guidance means God directions and leading. You will only get God’s Divine Guidance through enquiring, Praise the Lord! In our topic today, we will see David enquiring from the Lord before he stepped to fight his enemies. He did not count on the mighty warriors he had for He know that battle is not for the swift nor for … but for the Lord that showeth mercies.

From our story below discover that David did not depend on the first victory God gave him, when he was confronted with another battle he went before God again. He did not depend on his first victor; he went to enquired from God before embarking in another battle.  And until God gave His consent, he did not assumed and went ahead of God, he waited until God said “go.”

Beloved, do remember Joshua? The first war he went, God granted them favour and they won. When he was confronted with another battle, he went ahead without God’s backing, as small as the town was. They lost the battle (Josh 7:2-5;8:1-29).

Beloved, is this your story? How have you been relating with God? Have you been inquiring from Him before embarking in all your projects? God has given us His Word that He will lead us, do not make light about it, hold on to it and walk according. Always inquire from God before starting or beginning any project.

Beloved, it may not be a big project, it may be as simply as asking God what to wear or eat. It may be as big as building or making choices about job, school, and the likes of it. We must from seek God’s directives.

Beloved, it will not just asking alone, we must also learn to wait to get answers from Him because when we walk with God, we are depending on His finish work, amen! We are not struggling on our own but in the strength of God. Jesus said, “I do those things I see Father doing.”

Jesus walked in accordance with what His Father is already doing and that was why He recorded victory even over death (Jn 11:41-42, Jn 5:30).

So when we enquiry from God, He will lead us into what He is already doing and we walk into what God has initiated, completion will not be difficult for us but when we initiate and ask God for His blessing, beloved we will walking against the tide. It will not be easy, and that is why we experience failure in projects. May God help us going forward in Jesus Name.

Let us seek the face of God in everything we want to do before carrying it out, again when we have asked let us exercise patient and before long God will show up (Ps 40:1-4). Praise the Lord.

Beloved, the year is still young, tap into this promise of God and see you great at the end of the year in Jesus Name.

Let us discover more from below:

“And David enquired of the Lord.” 2 Samuel 5:23

When David made this enquiry he had just fought the Philistines, and gained a signal victory. The Philistines came up in great hosts, but, by the help of God, David had easily put them to flight. Note, however, that when they came a second time, David did not go up to fight them without enquiring of the Lord. Once he had been victorious, and he might have said, as many have in other cases, “I shall be victorious again; I may rest quite sure that if I have conquered once I shall triumph yet again.

Wherefore should I tarry to seek at the Lord’s hands?” Not so, David. He had gained one battle by the strength of the Lord; he would not venture upon another until he had ensured the same. He enquired, “Shall I go up against them?” He waited until God’s sign was given.

Learn from David to take no step without God. Christian, if thou wouldst know the path of duty, take God for thy compass; if thou wouldst steer thy ship through the dark billows, put the tiller into the hand of the Almighty. Many a rock might be escaped, if we would let our Father take the helm; many a shoal or quicksand we might well avoid, if we would leave to His sovereign will to choose and to command.

The Puritan said, “As sure as ever a Christian carves for himself, he’ll cut his own fingers;” this is a great truth. Said another old divine, “He that goes before the cloud of God’s providence goes on a fool’s errand;” and so he does. We must mark God’s providence leading us; and if providence tarries, tarry till providence comes.

He who goes before providence, will be very glad to run back again. “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go,” is God’s promise to His people. Let us, then, take all our perplexities to Him, and say, “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” Leave not thy chamber this morning without enquiring of the Lord.

Dearly beloved, our God is ever faithful, and will always answer when we call. He will lead us as He had promised us in Jesus Name.

Make a decision to follow God’s injunctions and it shall with you. seek God in everything and in all things in Jesus Name.

Have a peaceful weekend and see you next week by God’s grace.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
