Dear Lord, thank You for a blessed day ahead of us. You are the Most High God, all powers belong to You, the heaven and earth are the works of Your hand. The Sun and Moon and the Stars obey the voice of the Lord (Jer 38:20). The Rivers, Mountains even the Rocks acknowledges Your Sovereignty.

Let all Glory, Honour, Adorations belong to You Alone Who is Worthy of our Praise. You Are Worthy to be glorify. Amen.

Beloved, our God is Able to do more than we can ever imagine or ever think. He has no beginning; He has no end. Heaven and earth shall pass away but my God will standeth sure and so are His promises forever and ever. Amen!

We had understanding through the message of yesterday that God did not ask us to pray to Him, He also prays for us. What an encouragement  from our Father. For He knows that we may not be strong all the time, He also know that we can also pray amiss, so He pray for us. He intercede for us especially when we are being tempted, confuse about the next step to take in life, His Hand guides us. Glory be to God.

Beloved, do you sometimes have problem with God’s promises to supply all your need. I can also identify with you in some things I also desired from God which did not go the way I wanted it. However, the message before us will address it and clear us on further ambiguity. Phil 4:19

Beloved, our faith in God is what put us in command of situations in life. Only growing faith do exploits for the Lord. Our levels of faith depends on our depth in the Word. Also the testimonies of other brethren help us build our faith in God. Therefore, search the Word to discover your Word in season that will settle you forever:

God Has Promised To Supply All Our Needs

That’s what worries me, because His idea of “needs” may not square with my idea of “wants”.

“Godliness with contentment is a great means of gainIf we have food and covering, with these we shall be content.” (1 Timothy 6:6, 8)

My problem is that I not only want food and covering, but also a full menu of choices as to what kind of food… and covering He is to supply. Israel had the same problem:

“In their heart they put God to the test, by asking for food according to their desire.” (Psalm 78:18)

Then there is the problem of wanting to be rich:

“Those who desire to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction… ” (1 Timothy 6:9)

I wonder if our appetite for wealth has something to do with our desire to have more than one day’s provision at a time. Christ taught us to pray for “daily bread.” (See Matthew 6:11) In supplying the Israelites with manna, God allowed them to pick up only one days provision at a time. If they attempted more, the manna rotted! (See Exodus 16:20). Obviously, God was dealing with their greed and teaching them to trust Him one day at a time.

So, what does “godliness with contentment” mean? Try this:

“That I will view work as a sacred trust and responsibility. That I will conscientiously seek to provide for my family while balancing the other legitimately competing demands in my life (family, church, ministry, personal growth, etc.). I will then rest the issue of income and standard of living with Him. I and my family will determine to be content with however and with whatever He chooses to provide (whether it is a day’s provision at a time, or a year’s).

COVETOUSNESS IS DISCONTENTEDLY WANTING AND EVEN DEMANDING AS A RIGHT THAT GOD ALLOW ME TO LIVE AT A LEVEL THAT CATERS TO MY WANTS. When these “rights” are not met, I become discontent… even angry. AND WITH THAT GOD IS NOT WELL PLEASED.

Did you grab any bible truth in the above message beloved? Faith we learnt is “the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen” (Heb 11:1). There is a great wide gap between faith and sight. The later bases it decisions based on what is at hand and cannot see beyond that while the former believes that what was said will be fulfilled even when everything is otherwise. There is a thin line between faith, doubt and contentment.

Sometimes when we are in doubt we label it “contentment” while in our heart of heart, we cannot bring ourselves to believe the promise. So where do you fall into? Let see what the message below have for us:

“And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud.” Gen. 9:14

Just now clouds are plentiful enough, but we are not afraid that the world will be destroyed by a deluge. We see the rainbow often enough to prevent our having any such fears. The covenant which the Lord made with Noah stands fast, and we have no doubts about it. Why, then, should we think that the clouds of trouble, which now darken our sky, will end in our destruction? Let us dismiss such groundless and dishonoring fears.

Faith always sees the bow of covenant promise whenever sense sees the cloud of affliction. God has a bow with which He might shoot out His arrows of destruction; but see! it is turned upward. It is a bow without an arrow or a string; it is a bow hung out for show, no longer used for war.

It is a bow of many colors, expressing joy and delight, and not a bow blood-red with slaughter, or black with anger. Let us be of good courage. Never does God so darken our sky as to leave His covenant without a witness; and even if He did, we would trust Him, since He cannot change, or lie, or in any other way fail to keep His covenant of peace. Until the waters go over the earth again, we shall have no reason for doubting our God.

Are you here with me, are you doubting or truly being contented with what we can lay our hand. It is only those whose faith sees beyond their environment goes very far with God. Are you one?

Noah and family were saved from destruction according to God’s promises

Abraham beget Isaac after twenty five years of promise.

Jacob obtains God’s promise and was save from his brother anger.

Joseph obtain God’s promise by elevating him from prison to second in command in a foreign land after he patiently endured temptation (Gen 41:41-45) and by faith his body was laid in the promise land (Gen 50:25).

Moses also obtain the promise to worship on the mountain after he delivered the children of Israel from the firm grip of Pharaoh) Exo 3:12)

David obtained God’s promise to secure the throne for his seeds forever.

Mary believed what was told her by the angel and she brought forth Jesus.

So what are believing God for; let your faith see the bow. For God is not slacking concerning His promises (2 Pet 3 :9)

Remain blessed in the Lord.
