Everlasting Father, let Thy Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Blessed Redeemer, Gracious One, glory be to You in the Highest. Thank You for being there for us. No protocol observed except when we erred, despite that, You are quick to cleanse, purge, and make us whole again and like the prodigal, You welcomes us back to the fold. Thank You, Father.

Dearly beloved, you are welcome in the presence of Our Shekhinah Glory. May His peace rest upon you now in Jesus Name. Do you know that there is a difference between “Repentance” and “Confession of Sin”?

While “Repentance” is pointing us to turn around from our evil way back to God, “Confession of Sin” is telling God where we missed it and plead for His mercy, pardon and forgiveness. Now this is where we need to be careful, what am going to tell you now is “Rheme”, it is possible not to repent of a sin even after confessing such sin. It is very possible that if tempted again by Satan, you will miss it again and if the opportunity comes to confess, you will confess the same sin again and again without actually repenting of it.

So what is the way out? Like we studied yesterday, let your godly sorrow lead you back to God. Let there be genuine repentance when you have sinned and ask the Holy Spirit to help your infirmities from a sincerely heart and it will done.

Beloved, you cannot stay out of trouble without your bible close to you. You must open and read what the Word is saying daily, because there you are expose to your corruption and you desist from it. So, if you want to stay out of trouble “sin”, read and do what you discovered in the Word of God.

God created you in His image and traded His only Son for you, He offered Him as a supreme sacrifice for your sake. He will never leave you nor forget you, a promise from God will never fail, so hold on to it:

“Can a woman forget her nursing child,

or lack compassion for the child of her womb?

Even if these forget, yet I will not forget you.”—Isaiah 49:15

God never becomes preoccupied or neglectful toward one of His children. God said it would be more likely for a nursing mother to forget the infant at her breast than for Him to forget one of His children! The nursing mother has a keen sensitivity to her baby. Even if the infant is in another room the mother’s senses are in tune with her child. The mother knows when it is time to feed and care for the child. The mother never becomes so preoccupied with other things that she neglects the needs of her child.

It is fitting that God chose this imagery to describe how He looks after His people, for He is more sensitive to the needs of His children than even the most loving mother. He anticipates every cry for help. Even before we can call out in need, God is responding with His answer (Isa. 65:24). This is one of the most comforting promises God has given to us: that He will never forget us.

Don’t let the difficult circumstances you are facing convince you that God has forgotten you. Don’t ever assume that God is more concerned with the needs of other, more significant, more spiritual people than He is with yours. Scripture teaches that God looks upon you with the same love, interest, and concern as a nursing mother would look upon her infant. It should reassure you to know that your Father loves you like that!

In Gal 3:11 the Word of God said “the just shall live by faith”. Do you believe that? If believe it, I want you to confess it and as you are doing that something is happening in the realm of the spirit, the Lord is superintending over all that concerns you, shout Alleluia! Whatever be your challenge now, He is be able to handle it. All the Lord is doing now is to establish you here after. That your journey will not end here on earth but you will also be part of the heavenly which you will not go in an untamed body:

“After that ye have suffered awhile, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.” 1Peter 5:10

You have seen the arch of heaven as it spans the plain: glorious are its colours, and rare its hues. It is beautiful, but, alas, it passes away, and lo, it is not. The fair colours give way to the fleecy clouds, and the sky is no longer brilliant with the tints of heaven. It is not established. How can it be? A glorious show made up of transitory sun-beams and passing rain-drops, how can it abide? The graces of the Christian character must not resemble the rainbow in its transitory beauty, but, on the contrary, must be stablished, settled, abiding.

Seek, O believer, that every good thing you have may be an abiding thing. May your character not be a writing upon the sand, but an inscription upon the rock! May your faith be no “baseless fabric of a vision,” but may it be builded of material able to endure that awful fire which shall consume the wood, hay, and stubble of the hypocrite. May you be rooted and grounded in love. May your convictions be deep, your love real, your desires earnest. May your whole life be so settled and established, that all the blasts of hell, and all the storms of earth shall never be able to remove you.

But notice how this blessing of being “stablished in the faith” is gained. The apostle’s words point us to suffering as the means employed—”After that ye have suffered awhile.” It is of no use to hope that we shall be well rooted if no rough winds pass over us. Those old gnarlings on the root of the oak tree, and those strange twistings of the branches, all tell of the many storms that have swept over it, and they are also indicators of the depth into which the roots have forced their way.

So the Christian is made strong, and firmly rooted by all the trials and storms of life. Shrink not then from the tempestuous winds of trial, but take comfort, believing that by their rough discipline God is fulfilling this benediction to you. And don’t forget this, “the just shall leave by faith. Bring your faith to work dearly beloved by “creating time” to spend with God, the way we create time to go to work, spend with our family, spend in front of a Television to watch our favorite programs or play our favorite games (and stuffs like that).

Read your bible every day, and the evil of the day will be expose to you, peradventure you are ensnared, you will also discover a way of escape. Praise God.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
