Come and see the Lord is good, come and see the Lord is good. There is nothing He cannot do, come and see the Lord is good. He gave victory, He gave me peace of mind come and see the Lord is good, come and see the Lord is good. // I will lift up my voice, I will joyfully sing not for what He has done but for He is. Beloved, is prayer time! How often you pray in a day? Uncountable, scarcely, atleast three times, these are responses my heart is perceiving someone is saying as they are reading this piece.

When you pray do you believe that God is present and He is hearing your prayers? How is your prayer time with God – instructive, petition, intercessory or commanding?

Is interesting to hear some people pray. Their prayers are not short of instruction and commanding. In some instances they quote the bible and tell God according to your Word, but here me child of God let us find out from King David how ought to pray and the type of prayers that are acceptable to God.

Ps 51:14-17. This psalms typical known as a prayer of repentance or forgiveness. David is tell God to open his lips so that His mouth will show forth His Praise. He stated that sacrifices are not pleasing to God rather what is acceptable to God is a broken and contrite heart, the Lord will not despise.

When you come with such an attitude, you see God readily present to attain to your needs. However putting the teaching of day in perspective, God is always a help in hour of need.

Is only God that will not remind you how late your telephone call came in and how you interrupted the sweet sleep He was having and how He was unable to sleep again after attending to your call. Beloved, is only God who can suspend nature to bring about His promise to past in your life. God is the Only One Who can be there all through every ordeal for you or in time of distress.

This God is not only present but He is “Immediate Present” as you are calling. God can appear to you in different way during your time of distress. Yesterday after visiting a friend of mine who lunched a book recently but I couldn’t make it on the lunching day, I met this lady we trained together in fashion school in dress making and she wasn’t look bright and I guest she is ill so on exchanging pleasantries she ask me to help her fix her daughter’s little bride gown which she meant to use this coming Saturday, well I followed her to her house not far from where we were talking.

She keep saying it was God that send me to her that she has been worried on how to finished this dress knowing her disposition and the fact that the event day is near, on getting into the house, we discovered that she left her gas on with kettle of water boiling. All she kept saying that God just answered her prayer, that I was sent to her.

As we speak I have fixed the dress and she is meant to pick it up later today. Beloved, God has the sole prerogative on how He wants to answer your prayer but you must ask/pray, the way and manner to answers belong only to Him.

He is our Immediate Present Help. We will also be seeing in the second ministration how many other ways God answers prayer. Secondly this is how to show my Jesus to her. Remember our teaching of yesterday? How do you want people to see your Jesus this season? How do you intend to make someone smile at this season? Christ is real then make it real in someone’s life. Praise God!

Join me as we discover it together, don’t let me let the cat out from the bag (chuckle):

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Ps. 46:1

A help that is not present when we need it is of small value. The anchor which is left at home is of no use to the seaman in the hour of storm; the money which he used to have is of no worth to the debtor when a writ is out against him.

Very few earthly helps could be called “very present”: they are usually far in the seeking, far in the using, and farther still when once used. But as for the Lord our God, He is present when we seek Him, present when we need Him, and present when we have already enjoyed His aid.

He is more than “present,” He is very present. More present than the nearest friend can be, for He is in us in our trouble; more present than we are to ourselves, for sometimes we lack presence of mind. He is always present, effectually present, sympathetically present, altogether present.

He is present now if this is a gloomy season. Let us rest ourselves upon Him. He is our refuge, let us hide in Him; He is our strength, let us array ourselves with Him; He is our help, let us lean upon Him; He is our very present help, let us repose in Him now.

We need not have a moment’s care, or an instant’s fear. “The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.”

God is always present, effectually present, sympathetically present and altogether present. Wow! What an Awesome God we serve. Praise God somebody! Then let us consider various answers that we can get from God when we pray. Seeming important to guide us not to lose hope when we pray:

God Responses To Our Prayers In One Of Four Ways

  1. “No – Your request is not in God’s will.”

After Nathan had gone home, the Lord struck the child that Uriahs wife had borne to David, and he became illDavid pleaded with God for the child. He fasted and went into his house and spent the nights lying on the groundHe answered, While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept. I thought, Who knows? The Lord may be gracious to me and let the child liveBut now that he is dead, why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me.‘” (1 Samuel 2:15, 16, 22, 23)

  1. “Slow – Your request is not in God’s will at this time.”

So the sisters sent word to Jesus, Lord, the one you love is sick.‘… Yet when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more daysSo then he told them plainly, Lazarus is dead, and for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.‘… On his arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four daysWhen he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, Lazarus, come out! The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, Take off the grave clothes and let him go.‘” (John 11:3, 6, 14, 15, 17, 43, 44)

  1. “Grow – Your motives are wrong.”

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” (James 4:3)

  1. “Go – Your request, timing, and spiritual condition are okay… Yes!”

Elijahprayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.” (James 5:17b-19)

And from Romans 8:26-29 we know four truths about prayer:

  1. The Holy Spirit helps us to know what and how to pray (verse 26)

  1. The Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf (verse 26)

  1. God hears our hearts more than the words in prayer (verse 27)

  1. Prayer is always answered (verses 28-29), though not always according to our agenda.

The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with Gods will. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

Therefore beloveth, when you pray always know that God answers your prayer in the order of “No”, “Slow”, “Grow” and “Go”. So as we pray let us always remember that our God is a prayer answering God and He will never fail you when you pray.

Let us pray with all expectation and God will answer us.

Dear Father we know now that you answer our prayer when we pray we however ask that you help us know what you are saying as You answer us. Glory be to Your Name in the Highest. Praise the Lord!

Remain ever blessed in the Lord.
