Immediate Freedom

0

Holy One of Israel, here we are before Your Throne of Grace and Mercy.  We cannot do without You O! Infinite One, in heaven You are Great; on earth there’s none like Thee. Blessed be Thy Name forever and ever.

Beloved, who can say a thing when the Lord have not said it. Who can nullify a thing or Word spoken by the Almighty? Rom 8:31-34. Than what can separate us from the love of God v35-38.

In Psalms 8:1-5, the heathen boost outside the Lord and the Lord laugh them to scorn. For they undermine the power of the Almighty and widen their mouth to speak ill of God and His anointed ones. The Lord will show them that He is the Mighty One. He owns the heavens and the earth.

The message before us is timing with the promise of the month theme “Our Month of Glory”. Beloved, you cannot access “glory” in bondage. Your glory lies in your freedom and that is the exact package the Lord is set to delivery unto Thee now. Are you ready to experience the “freedom” that come from the Lord?

Come along with me and see what the hand of the Lord will do this day, in Jesus Name.

“For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.” Nahum 1:13

The Assyrian was allowed for a season to oppress the Lord’s people, but there came a time for his power to be broken. So, many a heart is held in bondage by Satan, and frets sorely under the yoke. Oh, that to such prisoners of hope the word of the Lord may come at once, according to the text, “Now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder”!

See! the Lord promises a present deliverance: “Now will I break his yoke from off thee.” Believe for immediate freedom, and according to thy faith SO shall it be unto thee at this very hour. When God saith “now,” let no man say “tomorrow.

See how complete the rescue is to be; for the yoke is not to be removed, but broken; and the bonds are not to be untied, but burst asunder. Here is a display of divine force which guarantees that the oppressor shall not return. His yoke is broken, we cannot again be bowed down by its weight. His bonds are burst asunder, they can no longer hold us.

Oh, to believe in Jesus for complete and everlasting emancipation! “If the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” Come, Lord, and set free thy captives, according to thy word.

Do you know and believe that our God is able to give you an immediate freedom this very moment.

Child of God you are coming out NOW not tomorrow, not when it pleases the Lord as I hear some people say in their prayer or conversations. Jesus told the man at the poolside, pick your mat and go.

The Lord is telling someone Now, raise up from that sick bed now, someone is coming out of the financial mess, your way ward child is coming home now. That unfaithful spouse is delivered from the spirit of adultery in Jesus Name. Woman, carry your babies now in Jesus Name. Listen child of God, today, you are nobody from this moment, your name will be heard in the upper most part of the world in Jesus Name.

Whatever represent a yoke in your live, the Lord is putting it asunder for your sake in Jesus Name. You are coming out right now, in the Name of Jesus.

Beloved, it so important to note that you can only access this freedom in Christ Jesus. If you are yet to give your life to Jesus, access will deny. Why? Someone is asking. The promise made above can only be access by the Kingdom children. Click here to accept Jesus NOW!

Do you know that “If” is not a heavenly language? The children of the kingdom knows and believe in their Father and as such success will always be guaranteed. More from below:

“If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” 1Peter 2:3

If:—then, this is not a matter to be taken for granted concerning every one of the human race. “If:”—then there is a possibility and a probability that some may not have tasted that the Lord is gracious. “If:”—then this is not a general but a special mercy; and it is needful to enquire whether we know the grace of God by inward experience. There is no spiritual favour which may not be a matter for heart-searching.

But while this should be a matter of earnest and prayerful inquiry, no one ought to be content whilst there is any such thing as an “if” about his having tasted that the Lord is gracious. A jealous and holy distrust of self may give rise to the question even in the believer’s heart, but the continuance of such a doubt would be an evil indeed. We must not rest without a desperate struggle to clasp the Saviour in the arms of faith, and say, “I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him.”

Do not rest, O believer, till thou hast a full assurance of thine interest in Jesus. Let nothing satisfy thee till, by the infallible witness of the Holy Spirit bearing witness with thy spirit, thou art certified that thou art a child of God. Oh, trifle not here; let no “perhaps” and “peradventure” and “if” and “maybe” satisfy thy soul. Build on eternal verities, and verily build upon them. Get the sure mercies of David, and surely get them.

Let thine anchor be cast into that which is within the veil, and see to it that thy soul be linked to the anchor by a cable that will not break. Advance beyond these dreary “ifs;” abide no more in the wilderness of doubts and fears; cross the Jordan of distrust, and enter the Canaan of peace, where the Canaanite still lingers, but where the land ceaseth not to flow with milk and honey.

The grace to stand still before God and allow Him to be God receive NOW in Jesus Name. Amen! The Lord told the children of Israel “….In quietness and in trust shall be your strength. (Isa 30:15; 32:17; Zep 3:17) and He is saying the same to you.

Beloved, don’t be unwilling, He will prefect all that concerns you in Jesus Name. Amen.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

… and the Spirit against the flesh

0

He’s alive Amen, He’s alive. My Jesus is Alive, forever He is Alive, Amen. Gracious God, we are grateful for the wondrous works You are doing in the lives of Your children. The beauty of Your works are incomparable.  No one can stand before You, Mighty God. We thank You for the first half the year, we are thanking you also for the month of July, our month of glory and the rest of the year, because it will deliver “GOOD” to us. Praise be to Your Holy Name forever.

Beloved, it is good to know that we are serving a living God, Who never fails. Everything might fail but Jesus will never fail you nor I. Therefore, if the Mouth of the Almighty made a pronouncement through His servant by the help of the Holy Spirit. We cannot but agree that it shall be so. Listen, things will crop up to challenge it but they will not stand against what had been pronounced over our lives in Jesus Mighty Name.

Beloved, do not forget to go constantly before God and plead for grace to stand against the devises of the enemies. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes; the pride of life (1Jn 2:16). These lust if not check will pull you down from your desire to serve God faithfully, it will affect you whether you like it or not. there are strongholds that must be destroyed through prayers and intercessions.

The flesh and the Spirit can never be in agreement. Child of God, once you see such in your life or anybody around you, it means that there is compromise some were. The struggle remains till the end of time. So beware. How? Someone wants to know. Just come along with me and you will have a deeper insight. Praise the Lord!

Are you ready to prayer through, come and see more:

“For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh.” Galatians 5:17

In every believer’s heart there is a constant struggle between the old nature and the new. The old nature is very active, and loses no opportunity of plying all the weapons of its deadly armoury against newborn grace; while on the other hand, the new nature is ever on the watch to resist and destroy its enemy.

Grace within us will employ prayer, and faith, and hope, and love, to cast out the evil; it takes unto it the “whole armour of God,” and wrestles earnestly. These two opposing natures will never cease to struggle so long as we are in this world. The battle of “Christian” with “Apollyon” lasted three hours, but the battle of Christian with himself lasted all the way from the Wicket Gate in the river Jordan. The enemy is so securely entrenched within us that he can never be driven out while we are in this body: but although we are closely beset, and often in sore conflict, we have an Almighty helper, even Jesus, the Captain of our salvation, who is ever with us, and who assures us that we shall eventually come off more than conquerors through Him.

With such assistance the new-born nature is more than a match for its foes. Are you fighting with the adversary today? Are Satan, the world, and the flesh, all against you? Be not discouraged nor dismayed.

Fight on! For God Himself is with you; Jehovah Nissi is your banner, and Jehovah Rophi is the healer of your wounds. Fear not, you shall overcome, for who can defeat Omnipotence? Fight on, “looking unto Jesus”; and though long and stern be the conflict, sweet will be the victory, and glorious the promised reward.

“From strength to strength go on;

Wrestle, and fight, and pray,

Tread all the powers of darkness down,

And win the well-fought day.”

Beloved as I mentioned yesterday, that glory usually shines better in the valley of affliction. Ever been in a dark room and all of a sudden you see light, no matter how little it may be, you will at least say “Thank God”.  Let us watch over our appetite on material things and acquisitions, lest we will find it difficult to surrender them to “The Master” when He will come demanding for it from us. Someone is in shock and surprise? Never mind, come along with me for an amazing revelation:

“Good Master.” Matthew 19:16

If the young man in the gospel used this title in speaking to our Lord, how much more fitly may I thus address Him! He is indeed my Master in both senses, a ruling Master and a teaching Master. I delight to run upon His errands, and to sit at His feet. I am both His servant and His disciple, and count it my highest honour to own the double character. If He should ask me why I call Him “good,” I should have a ready answer. It is true that “there is none good but one, that is, God,” but then He is God, and all the goodness of Deity shines forth in Him.

In my experience, I have found Him good, so good, indeed, that all the good I have has come to me through Him. He was good to me when I was dead in sin, for He raised me by His Spirit’s power; He has been good to me in all my needs, trials, struggles, and sorrows. Never could there be a better Master, for His service is freedom, His rule is love: I wish I were one thousandth part as good a servant. When He teaches me as my Rabbi, He is unspeakably good, His doctrine is divine, His manner is condescending, His spirit is gentleness itself. No error mingles with His instruction—pure is the golden truth which He brings forth, and all His teachings lead to goodness, sanctifying as well as edifying the disciple.

Angels find Him a good Master and delight to pay their homage at His footstool. The ancient saints proved Him to be a good Master, and each of them rejoiced to sing, “I am Thy servant, O Lord!” My own humble testimony must certainly be to the same effect. I will bear this witness before my friends and neighbours, for possibly they may be led by my testimony to seek my Lord Jesus as their Master.

O that they would do so! They would never repent so wise a deed. If they would but take His easy yoke, they would find themselves in so royal a service that they would enlist in it for ever. His York so easy, pray today that you lie your burden at His feet and bear His that is light. Praise God.

I pray for you today child of God, that as drop your heavy burden of sins and yokes over your lives, your glory will shine forth in Jesus Name. Amen! Whosoever that have stolen or whatsoever that covered your glory to surrender to the blood of Jesus now in Jesus Name. Amen!

Remain blessed in the Lord.

Our Month of “GLORY”

0

How Excellent is Your loving kindness O! Lord. Your children are saying Lord, You Are Worthy! O! Lord, there is something that makes me come into Your Presence, My Helper! O! Lord, to You Oo! be all the glory! This kind God O! I never see your type, This kind God O! blessed be Your Holy Name. my heart is full of melody to a God, who forsake us not in our lowly state but with His outstretch hand deliver and lift us up.

What a wonderful way to beginning a month; it was indeed a “Showers of Blessing” signifying a glorious moment in God’s presence.

Dearly beloved, the month of July as declared by the mouth of God through the Holy Spirit for the ministry is “Our Month of Glory”. Praise the Lord! Somebody! It is going to be indeed glorious in your life; in my life in Jesus Name! Amen!

Beloved, June is gone, July is here, is summer time!!!. A  time to have fresh fruits and food stuffs all around. (What happened to her today, she is not sounding spiritual as usual) What is happening? No cause to fear, even God knows that we need these complementary in lives to make it easier, and He did not miss it in creation.

As we have seasons in climate, so we also have them in lives. He made “the evening and the morning”. No one likes the night seasons of lives. It is not only boring, it is full with pains, heart breaking, accusations from the concerned parties, throwing blames and most importantly, it is a time if care is not taken, set-in backsliding in motion. Little foxes here and there (SoS 2:15).

But what will a child of God do at a time when all is not moving as expected, which is usually characterized by job loss, sicknesses, little or choice food, debt mounting, desertion by families and friends, and divorce may be inevitably? It is a period you keeping asking what is happening with no clear answer or head way to go.

Peradventure that is where this message is meeting you today, do not worry for the Lord is set to take you out from the dungeon to the mountain top, praise the Lord! It is also possible that you have gotten it right having gone through your night or winter season, you will have a better understanding of what am writing about and so be in a good position to minister to someone or families that is passing through this phase.

Come along with me as we consider the message together as we experience God in His Glory and Majesty:

“The evening and the morning were the first day.” Genesis 1:5

Was it so even in the beginning? Did light and darkness divide the realm of time in the first day? Then little wonder is it if I have also changes in my circumstances from the sunshine of prosperity to the midnight of adversity. It will not always be the blaze of noon even in my soul concerns, I must expect at seasons to mourn the absence of my former joys, and seek my Beloved in the night.

Nor am I alone in this, for all the Lord’s beloved ones have had to sing the mingled song of judgment and of mercy, of trial and deliverance, of mourning and of delight. It is one of the arrangements of Divine providence that day and night shall not cease either in the spiritual or natural creation till we reach the land of which it is written, “there is no night there.” What our heavenly Father ordains is wise and good.

What, then, my soul, is it best for thee to do? Learn first to be content with this divine order, and be willing, with Job, to receive evil from the hand of the Lord as well as good. Study next, to make the outgoings of the morning and the evening to rejoice. Praise the Lord for the sun of joy when it rises, and for the gloom of evening as it falls. There is beauty both in sunrise and sunset, sing of it, and glorify the Lord.

Like the nightingale, pour forth thy notes at all hours. Believe that the night is as useful as the day. The dews of grace fall heavily in the night of sorrow. The stars of promise shine forth gloriously amid the darkness of grief.

Continue thy service under all changes. If in the day thy watchword be labour, at night exchange it for watch. Every hour has its duty, do thou continue in thy calling as the Lord’s servant until He shall suddenly appear in His glory. My soul, thine evening of old age and death is drawing near, dread it not, for it is part of the day; and the Lord has said, “I will cover him all the day long.”

Do you know that “glory” does not shines forth in the season of rejoicing; however it shines better in the seasons of adversities, in the gloomiest state. Many people do not know how to appreciate God until they have a slight health issue or losses in finances. Then will they know and appreciate God even in the smallest gifts of life.

Beloved, are you in the wilderness of life today? Do not be dismay as the Lord is visiting you this month not only to take you out from your lowly state but also to beautiful your garden to be like that of the Eden.

“He will make her wilderness like Eden.” Isaiah 51:3

Methinks, I see in vision a howling wilderness, a great and terrible desert, like to the Sahara. I perceive nothing in it to relieve the eye, all around I am wearied with a vision of hot and arid sand, strewn with ten thousand bleaching skeletons of wretched men who have expired in anguish, having lost their way in the pitiless waste.

What an appalling sight! How horrible! a sea of sand without a bound, and without an oasis, a cheerless graveyard for a race forlorn! But behold and wonder! Upon a sudden, upspringing from the scorching sand I see a plant of renown; and as it grows it buds, the bud expands—it is a rose, and at its side a lily bows its modest head; and, miracle of miracles! as the fragrance of those flowers is diffused the wilderness is transformed into a fruitful field, and all around it blossoms exceedingly, the glory of Lebanon is given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon.

Call it not Sahara, call it Paradise. Speak not of it any longer as the valley of deathshade, for where the skeletons lay bleaching in the sun, behold a resurrection is proclaimed, and up spring the dead, a mighty army, full of life immortal. Jesus is that plant of renown, and His presence makes all things new. Nor is the wonder less in each individual’s salvation.

Yonder I behold you, dear reader, cast out, an infant, unswathed, unwashed, defiled with your own blood, left to be food for beasts of prey. But lo, a jewel has been thrown into your bosom by a divine hand, and for its sake you have been pitied and tended by divine providence, you are washed and cleansed from your defilement, you are adopted into heaven’s family, the fair seal of love is upon your forehead, and the ring of faithfulness is on your hand—you are now a prince unto God, though once an orphan, cast away.

O prize exceedingly the matchless power and grace which changes deserts into gardens, and makes the barren heart to sing for joy.

Nevertheless, our glorious moment is here, don’t miss any of this month series as it will minister to you, it will also help you to minister to someone that needs a lifting in life. It is also possible that you have not cross this part, it will equip you to know the pit hole to avoid. Make sure you keep a date with us and the Lord will perfect all that concerns you. Amen!

Beloved, this month, the Lord will heal your land, take you out from darkness unto a fruitful garden in Jesus Name!

Welcome, my beloved into your “MONTH OF GLORY”.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

Sow Generously

0

Eternal Rock of Ages, we come before Your Throne of Mercy. Thank You, Lord for all You have done for us. You are Alpha and Omega. We are grateful for Your guidance, protection, provisions and love all through the first half of the year.

You are indeed God, there is no one like You, Lord, like You Father. Ancient of days, thank you for this month of “Blessedness”. I have many testimonies to show of the truth in Your “Favour is life.” (Ps 30:5).

Beloved, am sure you are not left out, you have testimonies of the Lord’s goodness in your life. Cast your mind back from January to June and beginning to shout alleluia on every act of love from the Lord. You will see truly that The Lord has been so Faithful. So can you now appreciate the king of kings, the Lord of lords, the Alpha and the Omega. Praise the name of the Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The month of June is rounding off today and we just want to remind you (having dwell so much on soul winning during the month), once again the reward of such service to the witness. And in case you are yet to join us in this kingdom business, please make haste while there is still time to do so.

Beloved, I was privileged to go on evangelism with some team this weekend while on a program, it was another good experience to cap the month. Those we witness to were not only blessed spiritual but also physical as the team went with some gifts items. They were delivered from the kingdom of darkness unto the Kingdom of light. They were so happy and you can see it.

Remember, whatsoever you sow, you reap. If you sow sparely; so will your harvest be and if you sow generously; you will have a bountiful harvest. Praise the Lord.

Remember this: the person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously.—2 Corinthians 9:6

You are called to be intentional about your Christianity. You must be determined to experience the fullness of God in every area of your Christian life and never to settle for a shallow, lackadaisical relationship with Almighty God. God will bless you according to how you respond to His invitations. If He finds in you a generous heart that willingly and freely gives what it has to others, then God responds toward you in like manner.

When the apostle Paul encouraged the believers in Corinth to help the Christians in Jerusalem, he promised them that if they would sow generously, they would reap a generous return from God.

This truth holds life-changing potential for us. If we invest everything we have in our relationship with God, we will experience the full dimensions of being children of God. If our desire is to know God more intimately, and if we spend ample time studying His word, God will generously enrich our relationship with Him. If we discipline ourselves to remain in prayer even when praying is difficult, He will reward us with a deeper, more powerful prayer life. If we reconcile any broken relationships and prepare our hearts before worship, and if we participate fully and reverently in every part of worship, God promises that we will meet Him and our lives will be changed.

Why is it that some Christians grow rapidly in their Christian faith and others remain unchanged year after year? Our Christian maturity is deeply affected by what we sow. Let us choose to sow generously in everything we do in our Christian lives. The harvest we reap will be Christlikeness.

Peradventure, you are not previliage to go on evganlism now as I narrated above, you can as well either those who can go by supporting them, or give items to help those in need. This way the kingdom business moves on.

The message below highlights what you are to do to facilitate soul winning with a reward scheme:

What Is Our Role In Winning The Lost To Christ?

The book of Mark 4:26-29 gives us four helpful insights:

I.  WE ARE TO FAITHFULLY SOW THE SEED ON ALL KINDS OF SOIL:

In the parable of the sower (Mark 4:1-8, 14-20), Christ told of the person who threw the seed (the Gospel) on various types of soil (men’s hearts): hard, shallow, weed-infested, and “good.”

The sower’s job was not to inspect the condition of the soil, but to faithfully “scatter seed on the ground… ” (Mark 4:26b)

II. WE ARE TO STEP BACK AND ALLOW THE GOSPEL TO DO ITS WORK:

The inner-working of the Gospel upon a person’s heart is mysterious, God-directed, and beyond our control or efforts:

Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain… “(Mark 4:27)

III.WE ARE TO OBSERVE THE SOIL:

It important for us to understand that before reaping the harvest, an orderly and timely growth process must first transpire:

“First the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head.“(Mark 4:28)

IV. WE ARE TO REAP THE HARVEST:

Because of our inclination toward procrastination, we could easily miss the opportune time to reap the harvest: “Do you not say, There are yet four months and then comes the harvest?I tell youthe fields are ripe for harvest. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.“(John 4:35; Mark 4:29)

I am intrigued with the fact that when Christ spoke of the partnership between sower and reaper He only offered a reward to the reaper: “One sows and another reapsThe reaper drawswages… “(John 4:37, 36)

Perhaps He knew that reapers were in scarce supply and needed the added incentive!

At any rate, let’s get out there and sow the seed, step back, observe, and… harvest!

Are you ready to be rewarded? Then don’t stop at sowing the seed only, ensure you fellow up on your converts to maturity or until well rooted activate your reward scheme as promised by the Lord. Don’t forget that when the Lord is asking you to sow or give your substance is for Him to bless you. You cannot out give God, you can only be blessed by Him.

God is a generous giver Jn 3:16, so do not delay any further, come on!!!

To God be the glory now and forever more as we wait patiently for the month of July and the promises therein!

Remain blessed in the Lord.

Are You A Parochial Or World Christian?

0

Thank You gracious God for Your guidance and protection al through this week. We are indeed grateful unto You Alone, in everything You prove Yourself greatly amidst us, be Thou exalted forever, Amen!

The month of June is gradually giving way and we said at the beginning of the month that we will work towards populating God’s kingdom by the way of soul winning. Can you look back and give yourself a pat on the face and say well done or if God look down from heaven can He said of you, well done, good and faithful servant, (don’t be afraid am not going to say come and inherit your reward yet) (someone laugh).

Alright in case you missed all the opportunity all through the month, another weekend is here, try and strategize on how to get one person to your local assembly on Sunday and feed him with the word if you cannot feed him by yourself.

Beloved, how do you view yourself when it comes to kingdom business, are on top of the soul winning or under it? To most of us, someone brought us to the saving knowledge of Christ, just few I believe asked God to reveal Himself to them, however not with an encounter or an incident with the Word.

We are going to consider at what level are you operating in the Kingdom business? Consider the question below, go through it then we hook on again to look further in it:

Are You A Parochial Or World Christian?

Jesus made it abundantly clear that you and I are to think globally:

“Go and make disciples of all nationsYou shall be My witnessesto the ends of the earth.“(Matthew 28:19a; Acts 1:8b)

As a business or professional person, you are uniquely positioned to help fulfill The Great Commission in three ways:

 1. RESOURCES:

It takes money to get the message of the Cross to the ends of the earth. If God has given you the gift of making money (Romans 12:8), then you have a unique opportunity and responsibility to distribute resources toward His causes.

The late Dr. Richard C. Halverson wrote:

“There is a greater problem than need — Greed! — Commendable as it may be, compassion for the hungry and starving is not the best we can do — as long as we give simply out of our abundance, and allow such giving to justify continuing acquisition beyond our needs… “

 2. ACCESS:

It has been estimated that by the year 2000, 85% of the world’s lost lived in countries closed to traditional missionary entry. The only other means of personal “access” is through the business and professional person.

Today, most developing countries are crying out for the kind of expertise you possess. But this is big league stuff, so only those possessed of courage, vision, know how, and determination need apply.

 3. INFLUENCE:

Because the majority of the developing countries still recognize the West for its advanced expertise, you as a business or professional person have leverage to influence.

SO HERE IS THE QUESTION: ARE YOU A PAROCHIAL OR WORLD CHRISTIAN?”

One acid test in answering that question is to take a hard look at the ledger in your checkbook. Does the pattern of your check-writing over the past several months reflect a person possessed with a PAROCHIAL OR WORLD PERSPECTIVE?

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21)

I guess you are reading here having gone through the piece above. The summary of what we just read is all about Mission and Evangelism. How are helping out in carrying out this Great Commission, the only business instructed to us to be involved by our Master, Jesus. If you are not on the go you can support those who made themselves available to go on your behalf.

Your support is need to get most work done. The three points listed above indicated that, make a decision today to be involved in Kingdom business and your life will never remain the same. Support the work of God in our hands, blessed the servant of God on mission. They have families and needs that you can help.

Beloved, do you know that your level of involvement in the Kingdom business is largely resting on these six letters “PASSION”. I have discovered that you simple excel on things that you have natural flare for. If you are good with children, if an opportunity to teach in the children department in your church or school comes up, you will be glad to take it up. May be someone is not getting me right, here, come along with me to read and consider the piece below:

 Two Men Of Passion

King Solomon and the Apostle Paul.

The difference between them lay in the focus of their passion:

Solomon’s passion was directed away from God by his affection for unbelieving foreign women:

“His wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God.“(1 Kings 11:4)

Paul’s passion, by contrast, was redirected from self-righteous legalism toward knowing Christ:

“I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.“(Philippians 3:7, 8)

Solomon expended his life on pleasure:

“I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure.“(Ecclesiastes 2:10)

Paul, by comparison, invested his life in making Christ known:

“We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom. To this end I labor, struggling with all His energy…”(Colossians 1:28, 29)

HOW DID THESE TWO MEN OF PASSION END UP?

Solomon became bitter and disappointed in his old age:

“I hated life[and] I hated all the things I had toiled for under the sun… “(Ecclesiastes 2:17a, 18a)

Paul, however completed his life with a profound sense of accomplishment and anticipation:

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day… “(2 Timothy 4:8)

 TWO QUESTIONS:

 (1) Where is the focus of your passion? On yourself, or on the Glory of God?

 (2) How will you end up? Like Solomon, or like Paul?

Not forgetting how they started, Solomon asked from God wisdom which was granted him with riches and wealth as a tip of the iceberg while Paul was a man with great zeal to end the movement of Christendom. when Solomon was blessed by God, his heart turned away from God, however, when Christ arrested Paul at on his way to Damascus , he left everything for the sake of the Kingdom.

Again, asked yourself, how are you contributing to the great commission. Will you at the end of your life hated life as did Solomon or will you as Paul commend yourself for a work well done. The good news also known as the bible is God and cannot be subjected to your thinking or imaginations (2 Tim 3:15).

How will you want end your pilgrim here? Check yourself again, if you are on the wrong track is it better to take a 360 degree turn to avoid “Had I know which usually comes at the end of everything”.

Beloved, plan to redeem your time, set out on a right course and you will never regret with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Till we meet again next week,

Remain blessed in the Lord.

One A Majority!

0

Father, we are here for You, thank You for Your various and special blessings you bestowed in our lives at the altar of prayer, yesterday. You are indeed Wonderful and Glorious God.

Beloved, do you know why I believe in Jesus, do you also know why He is so great? One with Him is Majority. Even if a million foes surround you, you are a winner in the Lord Jesus.

Are you excited by this good News? We have various account in the bible to buttress these, let’s go a little further to discover more:

One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the Lord your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.” Joshua 23:10

Why count heads? One man with God is a majority though there be a thousand on the other side. Sometimes our helpers may be too many for God to work with them, as was the case with Gideon, who could do nothing till he had increased his forces by thinning out their numbers. But the Lord’s hosts are never too few.

When God would found a nation, He called Abram alone and blessed him. When He would vanquish proud Pharaoh, He used no armies, but Only Moses and Aaron. The “one man ministry,” as certain wise men call it, has been far more used of the Lord than trained bands with their officers. Did all the Israelites together slay so many as Samson alone? Saul and his hosts slew their thousands, but David his ten thousands.

The Lord can give the enemy long odds and yet vanquish him. If we have faith, we have God with us, and what are multitudes of men? One shepherd’s dog can drive before him a great flock of sheep. If the Lord sent thee, O my brother, his strength will accomplish his divine purpose. Wherefore, rely on the promise, and be very courageous. For the Lord will surly gather His own and none shall be missing:

“He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom.” Isaiah 40:11

Who is He of whom such gracious words are spoken? He is THE GOOD SHEPHERD. Why doth He carry the lambs in His bosom? Because He hath a tender heart, and any weakness at once melts His heart. The sighs, the ignorance, the feebleness of the little ones of His flock draw forth His compassion. It is His office, as a faithful High Priest, to consider the weak. Besides, He purchased them with blood, they are His property: He must and will care for that which cost Him so dear. Then He is responsible for each lamb, bound by covenant engagements not to lose one. Moreover, they are all a part of His glory and reward.

But how may we understand the expression, “He will carry them”? Sometimes He carries them by not permitting them to endure much trial. Providence deals tenderly with them. Often they are “carried” by being filled with an unusual degree of love, so that they bear up and stand fast. Though their knowledge may not be deep, they have great sweetness in what they do know. Frequently He “carries” them by giving them a very simple faith, which takes the promise just as it stands, and believingly runs with every trouble straight to Jesus. The simplicity of their faith gives them an unusual degree of confidence, which carries them above the world.

“He carries the lambs in His bosom.” Here is boundless affection. Would He put them in His bosom if He did not love them much? Here is tender nearness: so near are they, that they could not possibly be nearer. Here is hallowed familiarity: there are precious love-passages between Christ and His weak ones. Here is perfect safety: in His bosom who can hurt them? They must hurt the Shepherd first. Here is perfect rest and sweetest comfort. Surely we are not sufficiently sensible of the infinite tenderness of Jesus!

What a sweet comforting Word from our Savior this day, even the weak He forsake not. Therefore, are you yet to come to the Lord, (ie accept Jesus   as your personal Saviour) you have no excuse, for He has gone ahead of you and died on the cross, so that you may live. Gather yourself together, you faithful one and tap into victory already won. Just come as you are and you will find a place for your weary soul. Click here to accept Jesus NOW!

Remain blessed in the Lord.

Praying but Not Believing

0

Merciful Father, Hallow be Thy Name. Let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth. Eternally Rock of Ages, we thank You, we blessed Your Holy Name, Be thou exalted, Emmanuel!

Beloved, we are right before God now at this day of prayer, being aware that we can only access the throne by Divine revelations and through true communion with Him. We therefore humble ourselves before Him, for in Him shall our hope arise and be fulfilled. Praise God!

Last week, we considered “God keeps promises and He will never return genuine prayers unanswered”, wherefore then we should be confident in Him Alone. Trust not in the arm of flesh for it will fail you rather believe strongly in this only One God, Whose Word never and will never fail.

Let all unbelief in your heart, spirit, soul and body be destroyed in Jesus Name. Wherever the unbelief be rooted, may the cleansing power in the blood of Christ, wash it away and restore you to the glorious position as ordained by God from the beginning.

She recognized Peter’s voice, and because of her joy she did not open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter was standing at the gateway. “You’re crazy!” they told her. But she kept insisting that it was true. Then they said, “It’s his angel!”—Acts 12:14–15

You can say prayers in your mind but doubt in your heart. At times God will answer such prayers as He did when Peter was in prison, scheduled for execution. The believers in Jerusalem were powerless to free him, so they prayed. When God released Peter, their reaction revealed the doubt in their hearts. They argued that Peter could not possibly be free, even as he stood outside knocking on the door!

Is it possible to be a “person of prayer” and yet not have faith? Is it possible to fool yourself into believing that because you ask God for help, you have faith in His ability to meet your needs? Is your faith so weak that you are surprised when God answers your prayer? As a child of God, you ought to expect God to answer your prayers. Do you ask God to do something without adjusting your life to what you are praying? If you are praying for revival, how are you preparing for its coming? If you are praying for forgiveness, are you still living with guilt? If you have asked God to provide for your needs, do you remain worried and anxious?

Ask God to increase your faith and then begin living a life that reflects absolute trust in Him. Out of His grace, God may choose to respond to your requests despite your lack of faith, but you will miss the joy of praying in faith.

Absolutely, you will miss the joy of praying in faith, and am sure you don’t want to do that. Can you imagine standing before your Red Sea, with Pharaoh behind you and you are still faithing faith as this generation will call it. Beloved, it will only take an absolute trust in God to do that. The Israelite through whom this story originated fretted during they experienced but you know the end of the story.

Their God arose and made Name for Himself despite their unbelief. Their lack of faith in God destroyed that generation and none enter into the Promised Land, may that not be our portion in Jesus Name. Amen! We also have another incident where a decree had been passed, in fact they are bound ready to be consumed by the sevenfold fire but in spite of that, they rather confessed the Mightiness of God to deliver them and peradventure their God choose not deliver them, they will still not bow down to a god lesser than their God.

Today, we read their story and do the claiming but how many of us are ready and willing to go through that same experience to encourage those looking up to us in faith. Come along with me to read about the three Hebrew boys, I don’t know where the storms of life has left you, perhaps it will strengthen you and re- echo what was said by them to your hearing:

“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said… Be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods.” Daniel 3:16,18

The narrative of the manly courage and marvellous deliverance of the three holy children, or rather champions, is well calculated to excite in the minds of believers firmness and steadfastness in upholding the truth in the teeth of tyranny and in the very jaws of death.

Let young Christians especially learn from their example, both in matters of faith in religion, and matters of uprightness in business, never to sacrifice their consciences. Lose all rather than lose your integrity, and when all else is gone, still hold fast a clear conscience as the rarest jewel which can adorn the bosom of a mortal.

Be not guided by the will-o’-the-wisp of policy, but by the pole-star of divine authority. Follow the right at all hazards. When you see no present advantage, walk by faith and not by sight. Do God the honour to trust Him when it comes to matters of loss for the sake of principle. See whether He will be your debtor! See if He doth not even in this life prove His word that “Godliness, with contentment, is great gain,” and that they who “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, shall have all these things added unto them.”

Should it happen that, in the providence of God, you are a loser by conscience, you shall find that if the Lord pays you not back in the silver of earthly prosperity, He will discharge His promise in the gold of spiritual joy. Remember that a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of that which he possesseth.

To wear a guileless spirit, to have a heart void of offence, to have the favour and smile of God, is greater riches than the mines of Ophir could yield, or the traffic of Tyre could win. “Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and inward contention therewith.” An ounce of heart’s-ease is worth a ton of gold.

Are you strengthened dearly beloved? Is a new hope and joy swelling up in you? Then go before God today in that might and you will like the Hebrew boys be delivered.

Praise God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remain blessed in the Lord.

…the little foxes that spoil the vines.

0

And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Lord: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. 6 For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord? 7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him. Ps 89:5-7 (KJV).

Beloved, indeed our God is a Great God. He is Mighty and Awesome to behold. A life in Christ is a life of diligent and integrity. You are to live and walk before your Maker with a holy fear. Without holiest, you cannot see God. (Heb 12:14). The Lord also instructed us to be holy as He is Holy.(1 Pet. 115-16).

We need to examine our lives, our ways, does it seem right before God as we considered yesterday? There are things in our lives that might defile us, those things might not be fornication, adulterer, stealing, lying as usually calls to mind. Those things are there and will not help us in the Christian race before us. We need to find then out through the help of the Holy Spirit and deal with them. Come along with me to see those little foxes that spoils the vines:

“Take us the foxes, the little foxes that spoil the vines.” Song 2:15

A little thorn may cause much suffering. A little cloud may hide the sun. Little foxes spoil the vines; and little sins do mischief to the tender heart. These little sins burrow in the soul, and make it so full of that which is hateful to Christ, that He will hold no comfortable fellowship and communion with us. A great sin cannot destroy a Christian, but a little sin can make him miserable.

Jesus will not walk with His people unless they drive out every known sin. He says, “If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.” Some Christians very seldom enjoy their Saviour’s presence. How is this? Surely it must be an affliction for a tender child to be separated from his father. Art thou a child of God, and yet satisfied to go on without seeing thy Father’s face?

What! thou the spouse of Christ, and yet content without His company! Surely, thou hast fallen into a sad state, for the chaste spouse of Christ mourns like a dove without her mate, when he has left her. Ask, then, the question, what has driven Christ from thee? He hides His face behind the wall of thy sins. That wall may be built up of little pebbles, as easily as of great stones. The sea is made of drops; the rocks are made of grains: and the sea which divides thee from Christ may be filled with the drops of thy little sins; and the rock which has well nigh wrecked thy barque, may have been made by the daily working of the coral insects of thy little sins.

If thou wouldst live with Christ, and walk with Christ, and see Christ, and have fellowship with Christ, take heed of “the little foxes that spoil the vines, for our vines have tender grapes.” Jesus invites you to go with Him and take them. He will surely, like Samson, take the foxes at once and easily. Go with Him to the hunting. And thou will be made pure and holy as He is and thou will no longer serve sin but Christ:

That henceforth we should not serve sin.” Romans 6:6

Christian, what hast thou to do with sin? Hath it not cost thee enough already? Burnt child, wilt thou play with the fire? What! when thou hast already been between the jaws of the lion, wilt thou step a second time into his den? Hast thou not had enough of the old serpent? Did he not poison all thy veins once, and wilt thou play upon the hole of the asp, and put thy hand upon the cockatrice’s den a second time?

Oh, be not so mad! so foolish! Did sin ever yield thee real pleasure? Didst thou find solid satisfaction in it? If so, go back to thine old drudgery, and wear the chain again, if it delight thee. But inasmuch as sin did never give thee what it promised to bestow, but deluded thee with lies, be not a second time snared by the old fowler—be free, and let the remembrance of thy ancient bondage forbid thee to enter the net again! It is contrary to the designs of eternal love, which all have an eye to thy purity and holiness; therefore run not counter to the purposes of thy Lord.

Another thought should restrain thee from sin. Christians can never sin cheaply; they pay a heavy price for iniquity. Transgression destroys peace of mind, obscures fellowship with Jesus, hinders prayer, brings darkness over the soul; therefore be not the serf and bondman of sin. There is yet a higher argument: each time you “serve sin” you have “Crucified the Lord afresh, and put Him to an open shame.” Can you bear that thought?

Oh! if you have fallen into any special sin during this day, it may be my Master has sent this admonition this day, to bring you back before you have backslidden very far. Turn thee to Jesus anew; He has not forgotten His love to thee; His grace is still the same. With weeping and repentance, come thou to His footstool, and thou shalt be once more received into His heart; thou shalt be set upon a rock again, and thy goings shall be established.

Examine your life dear beloved, and see where you have miss or yet to miss it and make amend. May we never be enslaved by the bond master again, therefore take heed.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

A Way That Seems Right

0

Gracious God, hallow be Thy Name, let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done here on earth. It is a blessing to serve the Lord. We are grateful for Your guidance and our Sufficiency in Christ Jesus. Glory be to Your Holy Name.

Beloved, our brother David said in the Psalms 66:13 – For the zeal of Thy house has consumed me. Also in Ps 84:10- it is better to be a doorkeeper in God’s house than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

How is it with you, dearly beloved? The last week of June is here, how far can you say you have gone both personally and spiritually? Can you review your monthly target and say “well done” to yourself or are there things that you need to re-visit or areas you need to pay attention to?

As good as that plans or ways seems, let us bring it before God and examine it under the light of His Word. Does it seem right before Him?  Come along with me, let us consider our ways, lest we fall out of will for us:

There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it is the way of death.—Proverbs 16:25

Things are not always what they seem. Proverbs warns that we can be deceived into believing we are going down the right path and yet be heading toward death, the opposite direction from God’s will. People do not naturally seek God or pursue righteousness (Rom. 3:10–18). Only as the Spirit awakens our hearts to the Person of Christ are we able to desire God’s will.

If we make decisions apart from the guidance of the Spirit of God, we will be like a ship trying to sail without a compass. We will do what makes the most sense, based on our own wisdom. But what looks attractive may actually lead to sin, ultimately destroying what is precious to us, for our most profound human thinking is mere foolishness to God (1 Cor. 1:18–20). Only God knows the way that leads to life, and He wants to lead us to walk in it (Matt. 7:13–14).

Don’t assume every opportunity that arises is from God. Satan will disguise himself as an “angel of light,” and his invitations will seem to be in your best interest (2 Cor. 11:14). Yet his way leads only to death (John 8:44). The word of God will be like a light to your path, guiding you in the ways of righteousness (Ps. 119:105).

It can be perilous to follow a path that seems right without first consulting the Holy Spirit for guidance (John 16:13). Take time to seek the Holy Spirit’s direction when you face decisions. He knows the full ramifications of your choices. The Holy Spirit will assist you to understand truth and to experience abundant life. Trust Him as He leads you.

Are you ready and willing to work with the Holy Spirit? Reminding ourselves again our theme for the monthly, “Our month of Blessedness”. Your plan, way, desires, yearn, wish, crave are they all seem good before the Lord? Before you accuse God of not fulfilling His own part of the bargain, did you perform yours?  Are there all seems right before Him?

Beloved, don’t forget, if you are willing and obedient, He will lead you in right path. Come and read more below:

“He led them forth by the right way.” Psalm 107:7

Changeful experience often leads the anxious believer to enquire “Why is it thus with me?” I looked for light, but lo, darkness came; for peace, but behold trouble. I said in my heart, my mountain standeth firm, I shall never be moved. Lord, thou dost hide Thy face, and I am troubled.

It was but yesterday that I could read my title clear; today my evidences are bedimmed, and my hopes are clouded. Yesterday I could climb to Pisgah’s top, and view the landscape o’er, and rejoice with confidence in my future inheritance; today, my spirit has no hopes, but many fears; no joys, but much distress. Is this part of God’s plan with me? Can this be the way in which God would bring me to heaven? Yes, it is even so. The eclipse of your faith, the darkness of your mind, the fainting of your hope, all these things are but parts of God’s method of making you ripe for the great inheritance upon which you shall soon enter.

These trials are for the testing and strengthening of your faith—they are waves that wash you further upon the rock—they are winds which waft your ship the more swiftly towards the desired haven. According to David’s words, so it might be said of you, “so He bringeth them to their desired haven.” By honour and dishonour, by evil report and by good report, by plenty and by poverty, by joy and by distress, by persecution and by peace, by all these things is the life of your souls maintained, and by each of these are you helped on your way.

Oh, think not, believer, that your sorrows are out of God’s plan; they are necessary parts of it. “We must, through much tribulation, enter the kingdom.” Learn, then, even to “count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.” (Jas 1:2). We don’t want to be tiring Christian but without trials, how can your faith be proven in Christ Jesus. Your Master Jesus was tempted, so be it not strange when it comes to you. It will not overcome you for He has overcome and prayed for you, look upon Him and be victorious.

Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“O let my trembling soul be still,

And wait Thy wise, Thy holy will!

I cannot, Lord, Thy purpose see,

Yet all is well since ruled by Thee.”

This week remain blessed in the Lord’ Name! Amen!.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

“To walk … as He walked.”

0

Heavenly Father, we are grateful unto You for all Your goodness in our life, family, career, and ministry. We cannot thank You enough for Your Faithfulness in all that concerns us. Thank You, gracious God.

Friday is here again, the week has been a blessing to me and am sure you also have a testimony to share to the glory of God? Please don’t hesitate to share His goodness in your life with us.

O let me be like Jesus! Is a song that not only touches my heart when I sing or listen to it, it also ministers to my Spirit greatly. Beloved, what a privilege to be like Jesus.

On the sixth, and God said, let Us make man in Our Image, after Our Likeness. This is the original plan of creation that we will be like our Father, Our Maker. But when man fall, he lost the glory he shared with His Father, and toiling sets in. God, however planned to redeem man through His Son, Jesus, Who went to the cross to die that we might live,  therefore reconciled us back to God and His original plan. But we must walk even as He walked. Come on to discover this Divine order for a perfect walk with your Father:

“So to walk even as He walked.” 1John 2:6

Why should Christians imitate Christ? They should do it for their own sakes. If they desire to be in a healthy state of soul—if they would escape the sickness of sin, and enjoy the vigour of growing grace, let Jesus be their model. For their own happiness’ sake, if they would drink wine on the lees, well refined; if they would enjoy holy and happy communion with Jesus; if they would be lifted up above the cares and troubles of this world, let them walk even as He walked.

There is nothing which can so assist you to walk towards heaven with good speed, as wearing the image of Jesus on your heart to rule all its motions. It is when, by the power of the Holy Spirit, you are enabled to walk with Jesus in His very footsteps, that you are most happy, and most known to be the sons of God. Peter afar off is both unsafe and uneasy.

Next, for religion’s sake, strive to be like Jesus. Ah! poor religion, thou hast been sorely shot at by cruel foes, but thou hast not been wounded one-half so dangerously by thy foes as by thy friends. Who made those wounds in the fair hand of Godliness? The professor who used the dagger of hypocrisy. The man who with pretences, enters the fold, being nought but a wolf in sheep’s clothing, worries the flock more than the lion outside. There is no weapon half so deadly as a Judas-kiss. Inconsistent professors injure the gospel more than the sneering critic or the infidel.

But, especially for Christ’s own sake, imitate His example. Christian, lovest thou thy Saviour? Is His name precious to thee? Is His cause dear to thee? Wouldst thou see the kingdoms of the world become His? Is it thy desire that He should be glorified? Art thou longing that souls should be won to Him?

If so, imitate Jesus; be an “epistle of Christ, known and read of all men.” Are you thinking what I am thinking? Someone is not comfortable with the new development, why you may asked? He is thinking that it involves a lots, to imitate Christ has a price attached to it. “You must leave your old ways of life and walk as He walked”. As the chosen, you are not expected to walk carelessly but be that “epistle of Christ” that will be widely see and read.

“Thou art My servant; I have chosen thee.” Isaiah 41:9

If we have received the grace of God in our hearts, its practical effect has been to make us God’s servants. We may be unfaithful servants, we certainly are unprofitable ones, but yet, blessed be His name, we are His servants, wearing His livery, feeding at His table, and obeying His commands. We were once the servants of sin, but He who made us free has now taken us into His family and taught us obedience to His will. We do not serve our Master perfectly, but we would if we could.

As we hear God’s voice saying unto us, “Thou art My servant,” we can answer with David, “I am thy servant; Thou hast loosed my bonds.” But the Lord calls us not only His servants, but His chosen ones—”I have chosen thee.” We have not chosen Him first, but He hath chosen us. If we be God’s servants, we were not always so; to sovereign grace the change must be ascribed. The eye of sovereignty singled us out, and the voice of unchanging grace declared, “I have loved thee with an everlasting love.” Long ere time began or space was created God had written upon His heart the names of His elect people, had predestinated them to be conformed unto the image of His Son, and ordained them heirs of all the fulness of His love, His grace, and His glory.

What comfort is here! Has the Lord loved us so long, and will He yet cast us away? He knew how stiffnecked we should be, He understood that our hearts were evil, and yet He made the choice. Ah! our Saviour is no fickle lover. He doth not feel enchanted for awhile with some gleams of beauty from His church’s eye, and then afterwards cast her off because of her unfaithfulness. Nay, He married her in old eternity; and it is written of Jehovah, “He hateth putting away.” The eternal choice is a bond upon our gratitude and upon His faithfulness which neither can disown.

Beloved, are you determined to walk as Jesus walked? Are you prepared to live like the chosen of Your Father, then take out time to commune with Him. Be kingdom addicted; Be a soul winner as He was while here on earth.

As our discipleship month, catch a soul for Christ this weekend. invite someone to your local church this Sunday, there is a reward, you know!

See you again next week by His grace.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
