Come and see the Lord is good. Come and see the Lord is good; there is nothing He cannot do, come and see the Lord is good. Come and see the Lord is good. Come and see the Lord is good; there is nothing He cannot do, come and see the Lord is good.// I have seen the  Lord goodness, His mercies and compassion. I have seen the Lord goodness, alleluia Praise the Lord.

When I come into Your Presence Lord I am happy. Yes Father, in Your presence there is anointing Your Spirit will surround me in Your presence anointing breaks the yokes. Forever You will be. The Lamb upon the throne, I gladly bow my knees; to worship You dear.

Father in heaven hallow be Thy Name, let Thy kingdom come and Thy will be done on earth. To You alone be all the glory both now and forever. Who is like unto thee, Lord there is none to compare with thee. You are miracle worker, You are my destiny Helper, You are Unchangeable Changer, to You alone be all the Praise, adoration forever and ever.

Beloved, what an eventful week I must say. How has it been with you, hope you are overcoming? You will triumphant at the end in Jesus Name. With the Word of God your victory is assured forever in Jesus Name. Like Caleb of old will do exploits for the Lord. We will not be hindered by the mountain rather we ask for the mountains.

The secret of mountains lays in its strong hold. It gives you clear view to see when the enemy wants to invade your territory. It is citadel of security but it meant for the brave, bold and the strong. It is not for weak or the faint in the heart. Therefore, when you take up your mountain, you will be strong enough to defend your territory and do exploits for the Lord.

In the PCL of today am zeroing in on Caleb. It was not recorded that he was a prophet, there was spectacular about him but God said of him that “he has different Spirit” – Num 14:24. and because of his trust in God bless   him and his descendant forever. If read further about him, you will also discover that the man, Caleb gave his daughter in marriage to the strongest man of his time. We also saw his daughter display that same fearless spirit when she asked her Father to give her of the spring water in the land the Father gave to her husband, Othniel. Just by this single act, Caleb entered into the book of favour of the Lord and his generations forever.

Beloved, the Lord wants those with a different Spirit. So do you dare to be “DIFFERENT?” Then the Lord is in need of you. Those who when everything they have live and worked for is slipping of their hand they still stand to say “I know that my Redeemer liveth.”(Job 19:25). When the world is clashing on them, they stand tall to say “I know that my God is able to deliver me from the burning fiery furnace and He will deliver me but if not,…. (Dan 3:17). God is looking for that men who will look calm in face of storm and be anxious for nothing but with prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make their request known to Him (Phil 4:6). Those who will declare, “for me to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Phil 1:21). Those who will say to Him “My soul panted hard after thee (Ps 63:8). Those who are not slothful in business but fervent in Spirit; serving the Lord (Rom 12:11).

Our God is here to give answers to all their question and solutions to all their challenges. He is here to give a refreshing sleep to as many that will trust and believe in Him. If you are one of them, come along:

“So he giveth his beloved sleep.” Ps. 127:2

Ours is not a life of anxious care, but of happy faith. Our heavenly Father will supply the wants of His own children, and He knoweth what we have need of before we ask Him. We may therefore go to our beds at the proper hour, and not wear ourselves out by sitting up late to plot, and plan, and contrive. If we have learned to rely upon our God we shall not lie awake with fear gnawing at our hearts; but we shall leave our care with the Lord, our meditation of Him shall be sweet, and He will give us refreshing sleep.

To be the Lord’s beloved is the highest possible honor, and he who has it may feel that ambition itself could desire no more, and therefore every selfish wish may go to sleep. What more is there even in Heaven than the love of God? Rest, then, O soul, for thou hast all things.

Yet we toss to and fro unless the Lord Himself gives us not only the reasons for rest, but rest itself. Yea, He doth this. Jesus Himself is our peace, our rest, our all. On His bosom we sleep in perfect security, both in life and in death.

“Sprinkled afresh with pardoning blood, I lay me down to rest, As in the embraces of my God, Or on my Saviour’s breast.

Did you read that “Jesus Himself is our peace, our rest, our all.” Come along for more :

Trusting God When The Bottom Falls Out

Our true mettle is revealed not in times of success, but in times of testing… In times of ” failure.

How do you respond when:

  • Everything you have worked for over the years disintegrates before your eyes?
  • You feel you are no longer viewed by your peers as a paragon of business acumen… no longer perceived as a leader in your field?
  • There are lingering, hushed questions as to whether someone else could have done a better job of pulling the company out of the fire?

One of the most sterling individuals I have known is presently going through an excruciating experience. As the CEO of a long-established, respected firm, he has been forced into the painful experience of downsizing in order to survive new market realities.

No one has handled this agonizing process of change with greater dignity than this friend.

Following are excerpts from his recent letter:

“Life is hard, but God is good… The love of God is better than life.

“We’re leading a couples [Bible] study… God is working wonderfully in the lives of all…

“Staying in business is quite a challenge still, yet after incredible downsizing, things seem to be turning around…

“I have gone through a major ‘business lifestyle’ change and am ready to adjust some more as God leads… It has gotten down to focusing on a day at a time, which is where I believe God wants us, but depending on Him daily is still difficult for me, yet at times thrilling.”

Beautiful, isn’t it. We would be fortunate to share his perspective… to possess his godly character. It is obvious that he has learned, in effect, to respond with Job in declaring:

“‘… Naked I came from my mother‘ s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.‘ In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.” (Job 1:21, 22)

QUESTION: Is the present tenor of your life such that IF AND WHEN THE BOTTOM FALLS OUT, you will respond in similar fashion? If not, what changes do you need to be making at this time? (Adpated from FM)

O dearly beloved, I can identify with the writer above, having gone through a lot storm recently but in all of it being clam in the face of the storm has help me to depend on God, to let God and let God. to lift up my hand up to Him alone for lifting. Am still standing and trusting Him to navigate me through all of it because it is better with Him than otherwise. His pruning is difficult and challenging but at the end is always preferred.

May we continual depend on God to give us a refreshing sleep and completely trust Him when the bottom falls out, and like Christ declare that we let obedience by the things we suffer (Heb 5:8)

May we have a refreshing weekend as we mediate on this teaching and the doings of the Lord (Eph 5:18, Ps 27:11). See you next week by His grace.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
