Let the healing power flow over my soul, let the Holy Spirit come and take control of every situation that troubles my mind, all my cares and burden unto Thee I come, Jesus Jesus, J-e-s-u-s.

Our Father thank You for the beautiful day and this precious moment in Your presence. Thank You for finding me a sinner and making me a saint to worship before You. Glory be to You Father. Am grateful to be called Your own. Thank You for the preservation, for without Your help men will despair.

Beloved, let us be entirely grateful to the King of kings, the ancient one the Beginning and the End, the One Who is and Who is yet to come. Praise the Lord! somebody.

As a child of God, God demands from you to live a holy and acceptable life before Him. You are walk righteously and without blemish. How then can we do it knowing that there are temptation on the way? Here are my few suggestions.

With reference to our topic today, as a child of God you are to be dead to sin. It means that sin have no dominion over you. You are not supposed to be bothered with everything that are not pleasing to God, you are not going to please self but God. Crops, animals or man use for sacrifice has no freedom of will again, they live and go only where is pleasing to their owner. Same way it should be with us if we are to abide and live a life pleasing too God.

As a living sacrifice, we do not belong to ourselves any longer but to God, we must therefore be vibrant in service. Christ our sacrifice though crucified on the cross for our sake rose up again as orchestrated by His Father. Every child of God must do the will of His Father- Righteous and Holy living, Showing Acts of Kindness, Soul Winning which is the heart beat of God.

Our call to service demand from us to live worthy everywhere we are, irrespective of what their ideology is. If you are not allowed to “pray” Christ; you can at least “live” Christ (2 Cor 3:2).

Beloved, in verse two which we treated last week “do not conform to this world” must be adhered to strictly by constantly renewing of your mind on the Word of God so ‘that yea may prove that is good, and acceptable, and the perfect, will of God.”

Be a living sacrifice, doing the will of your Father always. Let’s read more:

Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship.—Romans 12:1

God takes great pleasure in worthy sacrifices. In the Old Testament God gave detailed instructions for how His people were to give their offerings. He declared that these brought a “soothing aroma” to Him (Lev. 1:13, 17). When the Israelites gave an offering to God, it was no longer their own, it belonged entirely to God.

God would accept only the best that people could give. It was an affront to almighty God to offer Him animals that were damaged or imperfect in any way. God Himself met the standard for sacrifices when He offered His own Son as the spotless Lamb. Only the death of His perfect Son was a worthy enough offering to atone for the sins of mankind.

Now, God asks us to lay down our lives on His altar as a living sacrifice. Just as it was in the Old Testament, our sacrifice, once offered, cannot be reclaimed. We belong entirely to Him. We cannot make a partial sacrifice of our lives; our offering must be wholehearted.

Therefore, if you are a Christian, your life is not your own. Rather than dying, however, God asks you to live for Him as a living sacrifice. Every day, you are to offer your life to Him for His service. You do not serve Him in your spare time or with your leftover resources. The way you live your life for God is your offering to Him. Relentlessly pursue holiness so that your offering to God is unblemished and acceptable to Him (Eph. 4:1; Phil. 1:27; 1 Thess. 2:12).

Beloved, God will not accept any kind of sacrifice. We must offer our sacrifices with reverence and fear, a sacrifice without blemish or spot (Deut 17:1) and once sacrifice has been offered you will not reclaim it to yourself again. Have you offered yourself to God’s service and you are drawing back be careful as the Lord will not be please at it. Read further to discover more on this sacrificial offering:

Every Person Has His Passions! What Are Yours?

For security, “success,” social status, etc.? Or for such eternal values as:

A Passion for God

“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you… ” (Psalm 42:1, 2; 63:1a)

 A Passion for the Lost.

“My food, said Jesus, is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. Do you not say, Four months more and then the harvest? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Do you not say, Four months more and then the harvest? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.” (John 4:34, 35)

A Passion to Mentor Others in Becoming Laborers and Leaders.

“We proclaim Christ! We warn everyone we meet, and we teach everyone we can, all that we know about Him, so that, if possible, we may bring every man up to his full maturity in Christ Jesus. This is what I am working at all the time, with all the strength that God gives meAsk the Lord of the harvestto send out workers into his harvest field.” (Colossians 1:28, 29 – Phillips; Matthew 9:38)

A Passion for the Nations of the World.

“You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth Therefore go and make disciples of all nations… ” (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:19a)

One of these days a nurse will enter your intensive care unit, observe the flat signal on the electronic heart monitor, unplug the life-support system, and quietly walk out of the room.

At that moment, you will find yourself in eternity face-to-face with God. One question He plans to ask you is whether you shared the passions of His heart, or whether you followed your own. How you answer that question will determine the quality of your existence for all eternity.

QUESTION: Given the focus of your present passions, is that a pleasant thought? Are affecting humanity for good or you are set to destroy God’s works. Discover where your passion lies and run with it.

Make an offerings that are acceptable to God.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
