Gracious God, we honour You, we exult You, we glorify You, we give You praise, we adore You, blessed be Thy Name forever and ever. Amen.
Lord God Almighty, how Excellent, how Wonderful, how Glorious You Are. You are the King of kings; the Lord of lords; The I AM that AM, The Ancient of Days, The Beginning and the End; The Alpha and Omega, here we are to worship You.
Beloved, we have a God that never fails, we serve a God that never fails, Jesus is my God that never fails. Please shout Alleluia!
For God is love (1Jn 4:8) that He give us His Son to die that we might live and having bareth our sins in His body on the tree, that we being dead to sins, be alive unto righteousness and by Whose stripes we are healed (1 Pet 2:24). So that your joy may be full (1Jn 1:4) and having the Spirit of glory and of God resteth upon us (1Pet 4:14).
The love of God is unconditional, because love is the very nature of God. God does not need you to come to Him before He loves you. He does not need your consent either to love you as well. for He knew you before you were born, He saw you formed in your mother’s womb, He watched over you to ensure that nothing went wrong during that process. He watcheth over you.
This kind of love can only be found in God. The love of man will fail and wax cold in some cases; parents – child love weans when their efforts on a child is looking fruitless. Of all the love promised by Peter to our Lord Jesus, Jesus knew that Peter will fail Him, why? Because Peter is mortal and does not have the capacity to bring to past what he is promising. Beloved, did Peter fail, yes he did, not once but Jesus’s love restored him back to glory.
Beloved that is what He is promising you also (Jas 1:17; 2 Cor 1:20). These promises are here for claim. If you don’t desire it nor lay hold on it, it will never become yours, so what are waiting for?
We have a loving Father, Who is able to love us and bring every promises of His to past. The victories promised rest on the victories He had won even before you are born. Victory over sin, victory over sorrow, victory over the forces of darkness. Salvation belong to God. A new man in Christ bring about new creature, old things had pass away behold all things have become new.
This is our confidence therefore, let us hold fast our profession (Heb 4:14). He had promised to love us to perfection, our imperfect nature not withstanding:
“Having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.” John 13:1
This fact is essentially a promise; for what our Lord was He is, and what He was to those with whom He lived on earth, He will be to all His beloved so long as the moon endureth.
Having loved”: here was the wonder! That He should ever have loved men at all is the marvel. What was there in His poor disciples that He should love them? What is there in me?
But when He has once begun to love, it is His nature to continue to do so. Love made the saints “his own” — what a choice title! He purchased them with blood and they became His treasure. Being His own, He will not lose them. Being His beloved, He will not cease to love them. My soul, He will not cease to love thee!
The text is well as it stands: “to the end,” even till His death the ruling passion of love to His own reigned in His sacred bosom. It means also to the uttermost. He could not love them more: He gave Himself for them. Some read it, to perfection. Truly He lavished upon them a perfect love, in which there was no flaw nor failure, no unwisdom, no unfaithfulness, and no reserve.
Such is the love of Jesus to each one of His people. Let us sing to our Well-beloved a song.
Are singing unto the Lord? Experience has shown that singing praises is one of such difficulty to do when you are distressed or undergoing some unpleasant situations. As much as prayer may be difficulty, praises come from the inside and the joy you feel within is what prompt you to sing. A broken heart cannot praise God.
I therefor pray for you that every burden be lifted of your shoulder right now and against the spirit of heaviness, receive the garment of praise in Jesus Name.
Beloved, let us be thankful to God for all He has done for us in the past years, even if we did not hit our target but we must remain grateful, hitherto He had lead us. A grateful heart is praiseful heart. So come rejoicing; come on dancing:
“Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.” 1Samuel 7:12
The word “hitherto” seems like a hand pointing in the direction of the past. Twenty years or seventy, and yet, “hitherto the Lord hath helped!” Through poverty, through wealth, through sickness, through health, at home, abroad, on the land, on the sea, in honour, in dishonour, in perplexity, in joy, in trial, in triumph, in prayer, in temptation, “hitherto hath the Lord helped us!”
We delight to look down a long avenue of trees. It is delightful to gaze from end to end of the long vista, a sort of verdant temple, with its branching pillars and its arches of leaves; even so look down the long aisles of your years, at the green boughs of mercy overhead, and the strong pillars of lovingkindness and faithfulness which bear up your joys. Are there no birds in yonder branches singing? Surely there must be many, and they all sing of mercy received “hitherto.”
But the word also points forward. For when a man gets up to a certain mark and writes “hitherto,” he is not yet at the end, there is still a distance to be traversed. More trials, more joys; more temptations, more triumphs; more prayers, more answers; more toils, more strength; more fights, more victories; and then come sickness, old age, disease, death. Is it over now?
No! there is more yet-awakening in Jesus’ likeness, thrones, harps, songs, psalms, white raiment, the face of Jesus, the society of saints, the glory of God, the fulness of eternity, the infinity of bliss. O be of good courage, believer, and with grateful confidence raise thy “Ebenezer,” for—
He who hath helped thee hitherto
Will help thee all thy journey through.
When read in heaven’s light how glorious and marvellous a prospect will thy “hitherto” unfold to thy grateful eye!
Beloved, whatever God doeth is for ever, His promises are not just while you are alive, it span beyond here, it takes care of you when your eyelids close to eternal rest. That should boost your confident; for the Lord will never you nor forsake you whether you are in this body or away. Brethren such a relationship worth keeping. So ensure you are in the safe hand – JESUS, our High Priest.
Beloved, hitherto the Lord has lead you to 2015- your year of Supernatural Victories; He will lead you beyond it, winning every battle and crowning your years with victories in Jesus Name.
Finally, I will encourage you to read Ps 107 to see various victories the Lord is set to delivery to you this year, whichever category you fall into, He is Able.
Remain blessed in the Lord.
