“In Him dwelleth all the fulness…complete in Him.”

0

Blessed Redeemer, let all glory and honour be ascribe unto You. For You are God and King of kings. You are Lord! You are Lord of lords, at the mention of Your Name, every kneel shall bow and every tongue must confess that Jesus is Lord. We thank You, we praise You, we worship Your Holy Name forever and ever Amen.

God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, we beseeched Thee today to come into our heart, be our Lord and Saviour, help us to love as You want us to love and to be what want us to become. We humble ourselves before You Lord, let Your Name alone be praised and worshiped forever more Amen.

Come and dwell among us and let Your fullness be found in me and I shall be complete in You O! Lord of mercy:

“In Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him.” Colossians 2:9,10

All the attributes of Christ, as God and man, are at our disposal. All the fulness of the Godhead, whatever that marvellous term may comprehend, is ours to make us complete. He cannot endow us with the attributes of Deity; but He has done all that can be done, for He has made even His divine power and Godhead subservient to our salvation. His omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, immutability and infallibility, are all combined for our defence.

Arise, believer, and behold the Lord Jesus yoking the whole of His divine Godhead to the chariot of salvation! How vast His grace, how firm His faithfulness, how unswerving His immutability, how infinite His power, how limitless His knowledge! All these are by the Lord Jesus made the pillars of the temple of salvation; and all, without diminution of their infinity, are covenanted to us as our perpetual inheritance.

The fathomless love of the Saviour’s heart is every drop of it ours; every sinew in the arm of might, every jewel in the crown of majesty, the immensity of divine knowledge, and the sternness of divine justice, all are ours, and shall be employed for us. The whole of Christ, in His adorable character as the Son of God, is by Himself made over to us most richly to enjoy. His wisdom is our direction, His knowledge our instruction, His power our protection, His justice our surety, His love our comfort, His mercy our solace, and His immutability our trust.

He makes no reserve, but opens the recesses of the Mount of God and bids us dig in its mines for the hidden treasures. “All, all, all are yours,” saith He, “be ye satisfied with favour and full of the goodness of the Lord.” Oh! how sweet thus to behold Jesus, and to call upon Him with the certain confidence that in seeking the interposition of His love or power, we are but asking for that which He has already faithfully promised.

Amen! Amen!! Amen!!! What more do you want to hear? He is so loving and caring that all that concerns us also concerns Him. He draw us to Himself:

“I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love.” Hosea 11:4

Our heavenly Father often draws us with the cords of love; but ah! how backward we are to run towards Him! How slowly do we respond to His gentle impulses! He draws us to exercise a more simple faith in Him; but we have not yet attained to Abraham’s confidence; we do not leave our worldly cares with God, but, like Martha, we cumber ourselves with much serving.

Our meagre faith brings leanness into our souls; we do not open our mouths wide, though God has promised to fill them. Does He not this evening draw us to trust Him? Can we not hear Him say, “Come, My child, and trust Me. The veil is rent; enter into My presence, and approach boldly to the throne of My grace. I am worthy of thy fullest confidence, cast thy cares on Me. Shake thyself from the dust of thy cares, and put on thy beautiful garments of joy.” But, alas! though called with tones of love to the blessed exercise of this comforting grace, we will not come.

At another time He draws us to closer communion with Himself. We have been sitting on the doorstep of God’s house, and He bids us advance into the banqueting hall and sup with Him, but we decline the honour. There are secret rooms not yet opened to us; Jesus invites us to enter them, but we hold back. Shame on our cold hearts! We are but poor lovers of our sweet Lord Jesus, not fit to be His servants, much less to be His brides, and yet He hath exalted us to be bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh, married to Him by a glorious marriage-covenant.

Herein is love! But it is love which takes no denial. If we obey not the gentle drawings of His love, He will send affliction to drive us into closer intimacy with Himself. Have us nearer He will. What foolish children we are to refuse those bands of love, and so bring upon our backs that scourge of small cords, which Jesus knows how to use!

Am sure you will want scourge on your back dearly beloved? Stay close to Him and abide in Him also that you joy will be full.

Have a wonderful weekend ahead. Till we meet again on Monday by God’s grace stay blessed.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

Obedience Step by Step

0

What a Wonderful God You are? You are indeed too great to be praise and adored. Thank you for faithfulness O! God. You are God that answers when call upon by Your children. Thank You great God for this wonderful things You have done for us. We cannot thank You enough Lord. Be Thou glorified.

Everlasting king of glory, help us in our desperate times of need. Open our eyes to behold only what You alone can do for us and help us to hold on to You alone.

Beloved, we have an interesting topic before us today, and it will be good to hear from you what you would have done if you are “father Abraham” pretending you don’t know the end of the story.

Imagine this our Father in heaven after you prayed and fasted and He decided to hear from heaven and answer your prayer, He turned around to tempt you with the same thing He gave you. What dilemma Abraham would have been in.

Not at all for our pious father Abraham, he simply obeyed God. He choose obedience over compromise or disobedience.

I sighed, not as easy as we read or talk about it. Coming down to our levels, what are those things you are convinced in your spirit God is saying leave it-don’t get involve-move forward and you are still trying to convince God, if o-n-l-y He (God) will understand and allow to do.

Don’t forget He is the Master-planner, the architect, he has the manual and knows how you are supposed to function but rather you want to convince Him.

Can we like our father of faith, humble ourselves and pray for His Divine guidance and we get to follow and obey Him without questioning. Did I just said without questioning, not at all. God, don’t mind your questioning, He hates your doubt. Read on ready to obey:

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!”

“Here I am,” he answered. “Take your son,” He said, “your only [son] Isaac, whom you love, go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about.”—Genesis 22:1–2

Our difficulty is not that we don’t know God’s will. Our discomfort comes from the fact that we do know His will, but we do not want to do it!

When God first spoke to Abraham, His commands were straightforward. “Go to a land I will show you” (Gen. 12:1). Then God led Abraham through a number of tests over the years. Abraham learned patience as he waited on God’s promise of a son, which took twenty-five years to be fulfilled. Abraham learned to trust God through battles with kings and through the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. The pinnacle of Abraham’s walk of faith was when God asked him to sacrifice the one thing that meant more to him than anything else. Abraham’s previous obedience indicated that he would have quickly and decisively sacrificed anything else God asked of him, but was he prepared for this? God did not ask Abraham to make such a significant sacrifice at the beginning of their relationship. This came more than thirty years after Abraham began walking with God.

As the Father progressively reveals His ways to you in your Christian pilgrimage, you, like Abraham, will develop a deeper level of trust in Him. When you first became a Christian, your Master’s instructions were probably fundamental, such as being baptized or changing your lifestyle. But as you learn to trust Him more deeply, He will develop your character to match bigger tests, and with the greater test will come a greater love for God and knowledge of His ways.

Are you ready for God’s next revelation? Come and see another wonder from this our God. Ever imagine God asking you to do something extra ordinary, so strange that it is difficult to believe? Have you forgotten that He is not an ordinary God? He is indeed an impossiblity God. With him all things are possible. At the command of His servant, the sun stood still till all God’s enemies were wipe off. He does the impossible things. Come and see more my dear:

“And he said, Thus saith the Lord, Make this valley full of ditches. For thus saith the Lord, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye and your cattle, and your beasts.” 2Kings 3:16,17

The armies of the three kings were famishing for want of water: God was about to send it, and in these words the prophet announced the coming blessing. Here was a case of human helplessness: not a drop of water could all the valiant men procure from the skies or find in the wells of earth. Thus often the people of the Lord are at their wits’ end; they see the vanity of the creature, and learn experimentally where their help is to be found.

Still the people were to make a believing preparation for the divine blessing; they were to dig the trenches in which the precious liquid would be held. The church must by her varied agencies, efforts, and prayers, make herself ready to be blessed; she must make the pools, and the Lord will fill them. This must be done in faith, in the full assurance that the blessing is about to descend. By-and-by there was a singular bestowal of the needed boon.

Not as in Elijah’s case did the shower pour from the clouds, but in a silent and mysterious manner the pools were filled. The Lord has His own sovereign modes of action: He is not tied to manner and time as we are, but doeth as He pleases among the sons of men. It is ours thankfully to receive from Him, and not to dictate to Him. We must also notice the remarkable abundance of the supply—there was enough for the need of all.

And so it is in the gospel blessing; all the wants of the congregation and of the entire church shall be met by the divine power in answer to prayer; and above all this, victory shall be speedily given to the armies of the Lord.

What am I doing for Jesus? What trenches am I digging? O Lord, make me ready to receive the blessing which Thou art so willing to bestow in Jesus name.

Remain blessed in Lord.

God’s Complete Protection

0

O! Father in heaven, we humble ourselves before Your throne of grace this morning, we bow before Your presence we appreciate You for everything You have given and yet to give us. Thank You blessed Redeemer, glory be to Your Holy Name in Jesus Name, Amen!

Today is indeed the day of the Lord. For us in the ministry every Wednesday we teach on prayers and we encourage ourselves also to fast along as you pray your way through. We believe that when we pray or ask as commended by God we receive answers to our prayers.

How do you know that you have received? Is when your Spirit says so. It then means that we all need a measure of faith to receive what has already been packaged or what we asked believing that it is done. Receive the grace to trust and believe God in every circumstances in life in Jesus Name Amen.

Beloved, there are a times and situation you will find yourself and you being to wonder where this God is? Is he actually where He said He is or doing what He promised to be doing on your behalf? Beloved, you cannot but scream out, “God, where are You”? You also go further to say “God, if actually You are everywhere, I want you to show Yourself to me anyhow, just show that You are right here as said by the Bible.

If you have not gotten to this stage in life thank God I may say but rejoice not. In Nigeria and also in many other Nations of the World, many families especially mothers are crying and praying, asking “God where are you”? As hurting and painful this situation may be, hear what the Lord had to say; “be still and know that I am God”. When the plans are being hatched I know and the end is also known to Me.

But He has a question for you. What is your expected end? Name it, confess it, declare it and so shall it be. Remember not to pray amiss, so that you will receive. For God is promising you and I His complete protection. Come along let’s consider it together:

“While I was with them, I was protecting them by Your name that You have given Me. I guarded them and not one of them is lost, except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture may be fulfilled.”—John 17:12

Nothing that Satan can do to you should cause you to fear (2 Tim. 1:7). Jesus chose the twelve disciples the Father had given Him and then jealously guarded them from the evil one. Jesus sent His disciples into the world where they experienced difficult and dangerous circumstances, but He interceded on their behalf with His Father that they would have His strong protection from the evil one (John 17:15).

In the same way, Jesus said that we, as His sheep, are held securely in the Father’s strong hand (John 10:28). There is no better place to be than safely in the hand of almighty God. Do you believe this, or are you fearful of what Satan or people can do to you? The apostle John encourages us that we do not need to fear: “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). This is not merely a theological concept but a profound reality in which you can have absolute confidence. It is not just a truth for meditation in the security of your home; it is a promise you can cling to in the midst of a hostile and menacing world.

What you do reveals what you believe. If you are living a fearful, anxiety-filled life, you are proving your lack of confidence in God’s protection, regardless of what you may say. Live your life with confidence that Jesus is continually interceding with the Father on your behalf. If you trust Him completely, you will have nothing to fear.

Did this message ministered to you? What is that concerns of yours that you think God cannot handle? Lie it at his feet and don’t come back for it. That need will give way in Jesus Name.

You are not alone in the situation, even our own Elijah asked God to let him die when he was threatened by then Queen of his land but that was not God’s plan for him and it took God to put him back in His plan and purpose for Him. More from the message below:

“And he requested for himself that he might die.” 1Kings 19:4

It was a remarkable thing that the man who was never to die, for whom God had ordained an infinitely better lot, the man who should be carried to heaven in a chariot of fire, and be translated, that he should not see death—should thus pray, “Let me die, I am no better than my fathers.” We have here a memorable proof that God does not always answer prayer in kind, though He always does in effect. He gave Elias something better than that which he asked for, and thus really heard and answered him.

Strange was it that the lion-hearted Elijah should be so depressed by Jezebel’s threat as to ask to die, and blessedly kind was it on the part of our heavenly Father that He did not take His desponding servant at his word. There is a limit to the doctrine of the prayer of faith.

We are not to expect that God will give us everything we choose to ask for. We know that we sometimes ask, and do not receive, because we ask amiss. If we ask for that which is not promised—if we run counter to the spirit which the Lord would have us cultivate—if we ask contrary to His will, or to the decrees of His providence—if we ask merely for the gratification of our own ease, and without an eye to His glory, we must not expect that we shall receive.

Yet, when we ask in faith, nothing doubting, if we receive not the precise thing asked for, we shall receive an equivalent, and more than an equivalent, for it. As one remarks, “If the Lord does not pay in silver, He will in gold; and if He does not pay in gold, He will in diamonds.” If He does not give you precisely what you ask for, He will give you that which is tantamount to it, and that which you will greatly rejoice to receive in lieu thereof.

Be then, dear reader, much in prayer, and make this day a season of earnest intercession, but take heed what you ask.

Are you surprised that God does not answer all manners of prayer? Often times we prefer our  comfort zone which might be far lower than what God’s plan is for you, whatever it will take to check you off that zone God will do to bring His own plan and purpose in your life to past.

Fear not my beloved, your God is still able to do more than you can ever imagine or think about. Glory be to Him on High. Amen! Praise the Lord.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

“Marvellous lovingkindness.”

0

Merciful Father , we thank You, we bless Your Holy Name. thank You for Your showers that bless and heals, glory be to Your Name forever more.

Beloved, what is your giving life like? Liberally, thankful, cheerfully, mercifully, or you cannot put a name tag on it right away? Don’t fail to find out away. For you have a Father who desire that you give as He gives unto you. Does it ever occur to you that all the blessing you receive is not just for you or your consumption? Sometimes the Lord blesses you because of a need coming ahead of you which He had positioned you to meet.

How often we fail in that regard, don’t ask how? Just fellow me to the text before us today to examiner yourself again:

“Marvellous lovingkindness.” Psalm 17:7

When we give our hearts with our alms, we give well, but we must often plead to a failure in this respect. Not so our Master and our Lord. His favours are always performed with the love of His heart. He does not send to us the cold meat and the broken pieces from the table of His luxury, but He dips our morsel in His own dish, and seasons our provisions with the spices of His fragrant affections.

When He puts the golden tokens of His grace into our palms, He accompanies the gift with such a warm pressure of our hand, that the manner of His giving is as precious as the boon itself. He will come into our houses upon His errands of kindness, and He will not act as some austere visitors do in the poor man’s cottage, but He sits by our side, not despising our poverty, nor blaming our weakness.

Beloved, with what smiles does He speak! What golden sentences drop from His gracious lips! What embraces of affection does He bestow upon us! If He had but given us farthings, the way of His giving would have gilded them; but as it is, the costly alms are set in a golden basket by His pleasant carriage. It is impossible to doubt the sincerity of His charity, for there is a bleeding heart stamped upon the face of all His benefactions. He giveth liberally and upbraideth not. Not one hint that we are burdensome to Him; not one cold look for His poor pensioners; but He rejoices in His mercy, and presses us to His bosom while He is pouring out His life for us.

There is a fragrance in His spikenard which nothing but His heart could produce; there is a sweetness in His honey-comb which could not be in it unless the very essence of His soul’s affection had been mingled with it. Oh! the rare communion which such singular heartiness effecteth!

May we continually taste and know the blessedness of it! Let us also imitate Him that gave His all, left the throne and saved us from everlasting damnation. Let us know that there is nothing we have that we were not giving (1 Cor.4:7).

Who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.” 1Timothy 6:17

Our Lord Jesus is ever giving, and does not for a solitary instant withdraw His hand. As long as there is a vessel of grace not yet full to the brim, the oil shall not be stayed. He is a sun ever-shining; He is manna always falling round the camp; He is a rock in the desert, ever sending out streams of life from His smitten side; the rain of His grace is always dropping; the river of His bounty is ever-flowing, and the well-spring of His love is constantly overflowing.

As the King can never die, so His grace can never fail. Daily we pluck His fruit, and daily His branches bend down to our hand with a fresh store of mercy. There are seven feast-days in His weeks, and as many as are the days, so many are the banquets in His years. Who has ever returned from His door unblessed? Who has ever risen from His table unsatisfied, or from His bosom un-emparadised? His mercies are new every morning and fresh every evening. Who can know the number of His benefits, or recount the list of His bounties?

Every sand which drops from the glass of time is but the tardy follower of a myriad of mercies. The wings of our hours are covered with the silver of His kindness, and with the yellow gold of His affection. The river of time bears from the mountains of eternity the golden sands of His favour. The countless stars are but as the standard bearers of a more innumerable host of blessings. Who can count the dust of the benefits which He bestows on Jacob, or tell the number of the fourth part of His mercies towards Israel?

How shall my soul extol Him who daily loadeth us with benefits, and who crowneth us with loving-kindness? O that my praise could be as ceaseless as His bounty! O miserable tongue, how canst thou be silent? Wake up, I pray thee, lest I call thee no more my glory, but my shame. “Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake right early.”

A clarion call to all believers, who fear the Lord. Worship the Lord also with your substance and you will greatly fulfill the great commission. For those who are generous GIVERS (Ps37:21), the word of God says you shall NEVER lack (Prov. 28:27), the Word says you will not borrow but lend to nations (Deut 15:6; 28:12). The Word says you will profit not lost. So don’t be reluctant or ever regret your giving especially when it is not reciprocate with a cheerful heart and a thankful lips. The Lord will REWARD you.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

But now is Christ risen

0

This is day You have made, we will rejoice in it. Awesome and everlasting God indeed You are Awesome in this place Mighty God. We glorify Your Holy Name Your Name forever more. Thank You for another bright morning to reverence You. We are grateful for this great privilege. Who can challenge the sovereignty of God, You do Your thing as it is pleasing unto Thee. receive all the glory, honour adoration forever. Amen!

Dearest beloveth, welcome into a brand new week, a week you will encounter your Jesus as never before. Do you have any burden you are carrying, the Lord is beckoning on you to drop it at His feet, any issue of concerns that you don’t know what to do, never mind the good Lord will strengthen you more and give you an sight on what to do. Come as we share from the owner of knowledge:

“But now is Christ risen from the dead.” 1Corinthians 15:20

The whole system of Christianity rests upon the fact that “Christ is risen from the dead;” for, “If Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain: ye are yet in your sins.” The divinity of Christ finds its surest proof in His resurrection, since He was “Declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.” It would not be unreasonable to doubt His Deity if He had not risen. Moreover, Christ’s sovereignty depends upon His resurrection, “For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that He might be Lord both of the dead and living.”

Again, our justification, that choice blessing of the covenant, is linked with Christ’s triumphant victory over death and the grave; for “He was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” Nay, more, our very regeneration is connected with His resurrection, for we are “Begotten again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” And most certainly our ultimate resurrection rests here, for, “If the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

If Christ be not risen, then shall we not rise; but if He be risen then they who are asleep in Christ have not perished, but in their flesh shall surely behold their God. Thus, the silver thread of resurrection runs through all the believer’s blessings, from his regeneration onwards to his eternal glory, and binds them together. How important then will this glorious fact be in his estimation, and how will he rejoice that beyond a doubt it is established, that “now is Christ risen from the dead.”

“The promise is fulfill’d,

Redemption’s work is done,

Justice with mercy’s reconciled,

For God has raised His Son.”

What a glorious hope to them that believed. For if our hope in Christ is only here on earth we and most miserable, thank God, Whose power raised Christ from the grave and seated Him at His Right hand side and so will the only begotten praise Him forever:

“The only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

Believer, YOU can bear your testimony that Christ is the only begotten of the Father, as well as the first begotten from the dead. You can say, “He is divine to me, if He be human to all the world beside. He has done that for me which none but a God could do. He has subdued my stubborn will, melted a heart of adamant, opened gates of brass, and snapped bars of iron. He hath turned for me my mourning into laughter, and my desolation into joy; He hath led my captivity captive, and made my heart rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.

Let others think as they will of Him, to me He must be the only begotten of the Father: blessed be His name. And He is full of grace. Ah! had He not been I should never have been saved. He drew me when I struggled to escape from His grace; and when at last I came all trembling like a condemned culprit to His mercy-seat He said, ‘Thy sins which are many are all forgiven thee: be of good cheer.’

And He is full of truth. True have His promises been, not one has failed. I bear witness that never servant had such a master as I have; never brother such a kinsman as He has been to me; never spouse such a husband as Christ has been to my soul; never sinner a better Saviour; never mourner a better comforter than Christ hath been to my spirit. I want none beside Him.

In life He is my life, and in death He shall be the death of death; in poverty Christ is my riches; in sickness He makes my bed; in darkness He is my star, and in brightness He is my sun; He is the manna of the camp in the wilderness, and He shall be the new corn of the host when they come to Canaan.

Jesus is to me all grace and no wrath, all truth and no falsehood: and of truth and grace He is full, infinitely full. My soul, this day, bless with all thy might ‘the only Begotten.'”

If Christ is the only begotten of His father, so also is those who is begotten of Him. What an awesome moment in the life of the righteous, beloved in this month of “Divine Enthronement” the Lord will exhaust His Name in your life, in my life in Jesus Name.

Finally, as we pray for our future mothers under the captive of evil ones, the Lord will turn their course around that men will know that we have only Mighty God, Who alone rules in the affairs of men and only Him will all men fear and reverence in Jesus Name.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

“He that was healed…”

0

Eternal God of mercy, here we are before You and as we seek Your face Lord, look down upon Your beloved ones, lighten our face with smile that only heaven can give. Help us to fear You and to behold Your Holy Name in all situations. May Your Name alone be praise forever in Jesus Name.

Is it possible dearly beloved for us to be healed by Jesus or receive answers or help from Jesus without recognizing Him? Heh, don’t be in haste to answer, examine yourself and recount of late those things you received from the master without acknowledging His goodness over you.

You probably have thought, is your smart way of thinking and actions that had earned you the last promotion, all your oversee trips, even your good health. You would have acknowledged one godfather or mother, celebrate with friends before remembering to go to the house of God to give thanks and testify. Surprised?

Is even possible that God’s goodness over you has not drawn you to have a personal relationship with him.  Hope you don’t think am exaggerating things, it happened in the time of Jesus, will it surprise you to see it today? beloved, it ought to be a period we should accepted Christ as our personal Saviour and stay closer to Him. Further consideration we enlighten us more:

“He that was healed wist not who it was.” John 5:13

Years are short to the happy and healthy; but thirty-eight years of disease must have dragged a very weary length along the life of the poor impotent man. When Jesus, therefore, healed him by a word, while he lay at the pool of Bethesda, he was delightfully sensible of a change. Even so the sinner who has for weeks and months been paralyzed with despair, and has wearily sighed for salvation, is very conscious of the change when the Lord Jesus speaks the word of power, and gives joy and peace in believing.

The evil removed is too great to be removed without our discerning it; the life imparted is too remarkable to be possessed and remain inoperative; and the change wrought is too marvellous not to be perceived. Yet the poor man was ignorant of the author of his cure; he knew not the sacredness of His person, the offices which he sustained, or the errand which brought Him among men.

Much ignorance of Jesus may remain in hearts which yet feel the power of His blood. We must not hastily condemn men for lack of knowledge; but where we can see the faith which saves the soul, we must believe that salvation has been bestowed. The Holy Spirit makes men penitents long before He makes them divines; and he who believes what he knows, shall soon know more clearly what he believes. Ignorance is, however, an evil; for this poor man was much tantalized by the Pharisees, and was quite unable to cope with them.

It is good to be able to answer gainsayers; but we cannot do so if we know not the Lord Jesus clearly and with understanding. The cure of his ignorance, however, soon followed the cure of his infirmity, for he was visited by the Lord in the temple; and after that gracious manifestation, he was found testifying that “it was Jesus who had made him whole.”

Lord, if Thou hast saved me, show me Thyself, that I may declare Thee to the sons of men. Is that the prayer of someone now! Are you making this prayer right now? Peradventure, you have not accepted Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour, please click here to do so now, tomorrow may be too late! Now that you have done that come along with me get more acquaint with Him:

“Acquaint now thyself with Him.” Job 22:21

If we would rightly “acquaint ourselves with God, and be at peace,” we must know Him as He has revealed Himself, not only in the unity of His essence and subsistence, but also in the plurality of His persons. God said, “Let us make man in our own image”—let not man be content until he knows something of the “us” from whom his being was derived.

Endeavour to know the Father; bury your head in His bosom in deep repentance, and confess that you are not worthy to be called His son; receive the kiss of His love; let the ring which is the token of His eternal faithfulness be on your finger; sit at His table and let your heart make merry in His grace. Then press forward and seek to know much of the Son of God who is the brightness of His Father’s glory, and yet in unspeakable condescension of grace became man for our sakes; know Him in the singular complexity of His nature: eternal God, and yet suffering, finite man; follow Him as He walks the waters with the tread of deity, and as He sits upon the well in the weariness of humanity.

Be not satisfied unless you know much of Jesus Christ as your Friend, your Brother, your Husband, your all. Forget not the Holy Spirit; endeavour to obtain a clear view of His nature and character, His attributes, and His works. Behold that Spirit of the Lord, who first of all moved upon chaos, and brought forth order; who now visits the chaos of your soul, and creates the order of holiness. Behold Him as the Lord and giver of spiritual life, the Illuminator, the Instructor, the Comforter, and the Sanctifier.

Behold Him as, like holy unction, He descends upon the head of Jesus, and then afterwards rests upon you who are as the skirts of His garments. Such an intelligent, scriptural, and experimental belief in the Trinity in Unity is yours if you truly know God; and such knowledge brings peace indeed.

Am delighted that the God I worship is complete in every way. He see me in the highest mountain, He sees me in deepest valley, when I am confuse He is there to speak peace to my mind, when I am at across road; I will hear a voice behind me saying this is way walk therein. What a blessed God I serve, beloved, what about you?

Till we see again next week, mediate on these things and gain understanding therein.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

“I am with you alway.”

0

Blessed Jehovah, we humble ourselves before you this morning, and we say glory be to Your Name O! Lord, Who found us worthy to be among the living, not out of merit but of His Divine love and mercy. We bow before Your presence, receive all our glory and praise in Jesus Name.

Beloved, yesterday we considered what we do after an answer to our prayers? However, we concluded by saying it is not a time for holiday or taking a vacation but a period of more intensive prayers.

In our text today, the Lord said “I am with you always”. You can agree with me that in our daily experience we may be force to say, we don’t quite agree with it. Either because of the way events are turning out or how situation is for you. You don’t need to work by sight but by faith, dear friend. Our redeemer has declared His presence over and above us, no enemy shall be able to hinder Him. He is the God of gods; the Mighty one, whom shall I  fear. Let’s read more below:

“I am with you alway.” Matthew 28:20

It is well there is One who is ever the same, and who is ever with us. It is well there is one stable rock amidst the billows of the sea of life. O my soul, set not thine affections upon rusting, moth-eaten, decaying treasures, but set thine heart upon Him who abides for ever faithful to thee. Build not thine house upon the moving quicksands of a deceitful world, but found thy hopes upon this rock, which, amid descending rain and roaring floods, shall stand immovably secure.

My soul, I charge thee, lay up thy treasure in the only secure cabinet; store thy jewels where thou canst never lose them. Put thine all in Christ; set all thine affections on His person, all thy hope in His merit, all thy trust in His efficacious blood, all thy joy in His presence, and so thou mayest laugh at loss, and defy destruction. Remember that all the flowers in the world’s garden fade by turns, and the day cometh when nothing will be left but the black, cold earth. Death’s black extinguisher must soon put out thy candle. Oh! how sweet to have sunlight when the candle is gone!

The dark flood must soon roll between thee and all thou hast; then wed thine heart to Him who will never leave thee; trust thyself with Him who will go with thee through the black and surging current of death’s stream, and who will land thee safely on the celestial shore, and make thee sit with Him in heavenly places for ever.

Go, sorrowing son of affliction, tell thy secrets to the Friend who sticketh closer than a brother. Trust all thy concerns with Him who never can be taken from thee, who will never leave thee, and who will never let thee leave Him, even “Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.” “Lo, I am with you alway,” is enough for my soul to live upon, let who will forsake me.

This is a comforting words to all who are in one challenge or the other. Your trust in Christ does not end here, it is for eternity; it is forever. What a solace for our departed ones and a comfort for us that our hope in Christ is not in vain but in God, Who made heaven and earth. In Jesus, Who promised to come and take us to a mansion prepared by Him.

Like Joshua, the Lord is telling us to be strong and be very courageous! Is the word smoothing enough? Is it comforting at all. Let us read more:

“Only be thou strong and very courageous.” Joshua 1:7

Our God’s tender love for His servants makes Him concerned for the state of their inward feelings. He desires them to be of good courage. Some esteem it a small thing for a believer to be vexed with doubts and fears, but God thinks not so. From this text it is plain that our Master would not have us entangled with fears. He would have us without carefulness, without doubt, without cowardice.

Our Master does not think so lightly of our unbelief as we do. When we are desponding we are subject to a grievous malady, not to be trifled with, but to be carried at once to the beloved Physician. Our Lord loveth not to see our countenance sad. It was a law of Ahasuerus that no one should come into the king’s court dressed in mourning: this is not the law of the King of kings, for we may come mourning as we are; but still He would have us put off the spirit of heaviness, and put on the garment of praise, for there is much reason to rejoice.

The Christian man ought to be of a courageous spirit, in order that he may glorify the Lord by enduring trials in an heroic manner. If he be fearful and fainthearted, it will dishonour his God. Besides, what a bad example it is. This disease of doubtfulness and discouragement is an epidemic which soon spreads amongst the Lord’s flock. One downcast believer makes twenty souls sad. Moreover, unless your courage is kept up Satan will be too much for you.

Let your spirit be joyful in God your Saviour, the joy of the Lord shall be your strength, and no fiend of hell shall make headway against you: but cowardice throws down the banner. Moreover, labour is light to a man of cheerful spirit; and success waits upon cheerfulness. The man who toils, rejoicing in his God, believing with all his heart, has success guaranteed. He who sows in hope shall reap in joy; therefore, dear reader, “be thou strong, and very courageous.”

Very sure this message is blessing someone right away. Let us be cheerful, strong and courageous for that is the only way to win the battles of life.

Thank You Lord for Your Word is life to them that find it and health to their whole body (Prov 4:22).

Glory be to You Lord forever in Jesus Name.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

Beloved Father, what is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man that thou visited him?(Ps 8:4). You made us thou in your image but with sand. How the Lord hate the proud and despised the haughty. Our days are numbered before you, Lord teach us to number our days right that we get a heart of wisdom (Ps 90:12)

Help us to fear You and give us a heart to forgive all that  trespass against us. help us Lord to fear your Holy Name. Amen!

Beloved, we will be considering today, what happen when your prayers are answered. Put in another way, how do handle victory especially when it is an answer to your prayers. Can help you to answer this question. Do you take a break or a long vacation as most of us do or do you quickly align yourself to Your Maker Who give you victory.

Someone still did not understand what am writing or trying to communicate. Not to worry, just fellow me as we consider the message below what Jesus our role model did each time He hits the victory bar:

Praying after the High Points

After He said good-bye to them, He went away to the mountain to pray.—Mark 6:46

What do you do after a spiritual victory? Where do you go after reaching a high point in your Christian life? Jesus went to pray. Jesus had just fed a multitude with only five loaves of bread and two fish (Mark 6:34–44). If there were ever a time to relax and bask in the glow of God’s power it should have been then. Instead, Jesus climbed a mountain to pray. When Jesus prayed, the Father clearly revealed His will and His ways to His Son. It eventually dawned on Jesus’ disciples that Jesus prepared for every major decision and difficult challenge with a time of prayer (Luke 11:1).

As Jesus prayed on the mountain that day, the Father knew His Son was about to face a fierce storm (Mark 6:48). The disciples raced headlong into the tempest unprepared, but Jesus entered the storm after communing with His Father in prayer. The Father had prepared Jesus for what was coming, and Jesus met the crisis with all the power of God.

It is tempting to relax after a spiritual victory, but a crisis could follow at any time. You must stand guard over your high points. It is at these times when you experience God mightily that you should immediately get alone to pray. Then you will not be caught unprepared when trials come. Have you experienced a spiritual victory? Follow your Lord’s example and go immediately to a place of prayer so the Father can prepare you for what is coming.

Are you surprised at the practical step to fellow when you have you think you are making waves in your area of calling, it is not a time to call for a feast but a time to humble yourself and seek God’s presence in the event yet to come, better still the Lord will unfold to you His future plans. Don’t forget He is the one that blesses us with all spiritual blessings:

“Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings.” Ephesians 1:3

All the goodness of the past, the present, and the future, Christ bestows upon His people. In the mysterious ages of the past the Lord Jesus was His Father’s first elect, and in His election He gave us an interest, for we were chosen in Him from before the foundation of the world. He had from all eternity the prerogatives of Sonship, as His Father’s only-begotten and well-beloved Son, and He has, in the riches of His grace, by adoption and regeneration, elevated us to sonship also, so that to us He has given “power to become the sons of God.”

The eternal covenant, based upon suretiship and confirmed by oath, is ours, for our strong consolation and security. In the everlasting settlements of predestinating wisdom and omnipotent decree, the eye of the Lord Jesus was ever fixed on us; and we may rest assured that in the whole roll of destiny there is not a line which militates against the interests of His redeemed. The great betrothal of the Prince of Glory is ours, for it is to us that He is affianced, as the sacred nuptials shall ere long declare to an assembled universe.

The marvellous incarnation of the God of heaven, with all the amazing condescension and humiliation which attended it, is ours. The bloody sweat, the scourge, the cross, are ours for ever. Whatever blissful consequences flow from perfect obedience, finished atonement, resurrection, ascension, or intercession, all are ours by His own gift. Upon His breastplate he is now bearing our names; and in His authoritative pleadings at the throne He remembers our persons and pleads our cause.

His dominion over principalities and powers, and His absolute majesty in heaven, He employs for the benefit of them who trust in Him. His high estate is as much at our service as was His condition of abasement. He who gave Himself for us in the depths of woe and death, doth not withdraw the grant now that He is enthroned in the highest heavens.

What a blessed moment for every child of God. When  we are assured by the scripture that our prayers has not only be answered but also all the heavenly blessings that the Lord has made available for our take. Does it not call for celebration? That is the reward of our Sonship in the kingdom represent. As we prayer and receives answers to our prayer, may we humble ourselves before God to be blessed by Him.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

Why Remain Captive?

0

Heavenly Father, we thank You for today and all your goodness in the life of your children. You are God and you changeth not, there is none like Thee. Thank You Lord, what a wonderful God we serve.

Beloved, captive can be of different type. What type of captive are you in? This call for personal assessment. Jesus had already paid all our debt why live in captive again. Read more below:

“The Lord thy God will turn thy captivity.” Deut. 30:3

God’s own people may sell themselves into captivity by sin. A very bitter fruit is this, of an exceeding bitter root. What a bondage it is when the child of God is sold under sin, held in chains by Satan, deprived of his liberty, robbed of his power in prayer, and his delight in the Lord! Let us watch that we come not into such bondage; but if this has already happened to us, let us by no means despair.

But we cannot be held in slavery for ever. The Lord Jesus has paid too high a price for our redemption to leave us in the enemy’s hand. The way to freedom is, “Return unto the Lord thy God.” Where we first found salvation we shall find it again. At the foot of Christ’s cross confessing sin we shall find pardon and deliverance. Moreover, the Lord will have us obey His voice according to all that He has commanded us, and we must do this with all our heart, and all our soul, and then our captivity shall end.

Often depression of spirit and great misery of soul are removed as soon as we quit our idols and bow ourselves in obedience before the living God. We need not be captives. We may return to Zion’s citizenship, and that speedily. Lord, turn our captivity.

He will be our God and we will be His people:

“I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” 2Corinthians 6:16

What a sweet title: “My people!” What a cheering revelation: “Their God!” How much of meaning is couched in those two words, “My people!” Here is speciality. The whole world is God’s; the heaven, even the heaven of heavens is the Lord’s, and He reigneth among the children of men; but of those whom He hath chosen, whom He hath purchased to Himself, He saith what He saith not of others—”My people” In this word there is the idea of proprietorship. In a special manner the “Lord’s portion is His people; Jacob is the lot of His inheritance.”

All the nations upon earth are His; the whole world is in His power; yet are His people, His chosen, more especially His possession; for He has done more for them than others; He has bought them with His blood; He has brought them nigh to Himself; He has set His great heart upon them; He has loved them with an everlasting love, a love which many waters cannot quench, and which the revolutions of time shall never suffice in the least degree to diminish. Dear friends, can you, by faith, see yourselves in that number?

Can you look up to heaven and say, “My Lord and my God: mine by that sweet relationship which entitles me to call Thee Father; mine by that hallowed fellowship which I delight to hold with Thee when Thou art pleased to manifest Thyself unto me as Thou dost not unto the world?” Canst thou read the Book of Inspiration, and find there the indentures of thy salvation?

Canst thou read thy title writ in precious blood? Canst thou, by humble faith, lay hold of Jesus’ garments, and say, “My Christ”? If thou canst, then God saith of thee, and of others like thee, “My people;” for, if God be your God, and Christ your Christ, the Lord has a special, peculiar favour to you; you are the object of His choice, accepted in His beloved Son.

What is your relationship with your Father in heaven on the scale of 1-5? Score yourself and improve where need be.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

Happy Mother’s Day

0

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. Ps 139:13-16 (KJV).

O yea daughters of Eve, today has been dedicated to you to remind you of your holy calling and your unfailing reward by your Maker. So many are in pains because of this noble calling, some regretting ever accepting the office of motherhood, while so many are praying daily for God’s intervention both in their homes and in the lives of the children.

Some are betrayed by their very own and to such a person, it seem as if “time” is on the run and they may never recover all that the enemy has stolen from them. While many are believing and trusting God for their own children, but hear what the Lord is saying:

Listen, child of God, the Lord has something to say, be still and know that I am God! I will answer all your prayers and your expectation will not be cut short. Look unto Him, Christ “the Author and the Finisher of your faith and your joy will be full.

For some, who have been having a smooth ride, may I suggest to you to seek out these women, who are having it rough around you and offer some help, like counseling (in form of creating a forum or one on one), gifts – cash or materials that can help them. Also note, that you are not immune either, you can also learn something from their own experience and watch out so that you don’t fall victim as well.

For all the mothers, here is a message for you to let you know that your trust is not in vain and your joy will surely be full.

“For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.” Ps. 33:21

The root of faith produces the flower of heart-joy. We may not at the first rejoice, but it comes in due time. We trust the Lord when we are sad, and in due season He so answers our confidence that our faith turns to fruition and we rejoice in the Lord. Doubt breeds distress, but trust means joy in the long run.

The assurance expressed by the Psalmist in this verse is really a promise held out in the hands of holy confidence. Oh for grace to appropriate it. If we do not rejoice at this moment, yet we shall do so, as surely as David’s God is our God.

Let us meditate upon the Lord’s holy name, that we may trust Him the better and rejoice the more readily. He is in character holy, just, true, gracious, faithful and unchanging. Is not such a God to be trusted? He is all-wise, almighty, and everywhere present; can we not cheerfully rely upon Him? Yes, we will do so at once, and do so without reserve.

Jehovah-Jireh will provide, Jehovah-Shalom will send peace, Jehovah-Tsidkenu will justify, Jehovah-Shammah will be for ever near, and in Jehovah-Nissi we will conquer every foe. They that know thy name will trust thee; and they that trust thee will rejoice in thee, O Lord.

Does this provide a succor for you my beloved, never mind your labour of love must be honoured by Him, who called you into the vineyard. How and when will the Lord remember His handmaid and bless her? Come along with me and see how the Lord will honour you:

“Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof; so he that waiteth on his master shall be honored.” Prov. 27:18

He who tends the fig tree has figs for his pains, and he who waits on a good master has honor as his reward. Truly the Lord Jesus is the very best of masters, and it is an honor to be allowed to do the least act for His sake. To serve some lords is to watch over a crab tree and eat the crabs as one’s wages; but to serve my Lord Jesus is to keep a fig tree of the sweetest figs. His service is in itself delight, continuance in it is promotion, success in it is blessedness below, and the reward for it is glory above.

Our greatest honors will be gathered in that season when the figs will be ripe, even in the next world. Angels who are now our servitors will bear us home when our day’s work is done. Heaven, where Jesus is, will be our honorable mansion, eternal bliss our honorable portion, and the Lord Himself our honorable companion. Who can imagine the full meaning of this promise, “He that waiteth on his master shall be honored”?

Lord, help me to wait upon my Master. Let me leave all idea of honor to the hour when thou thyself shalt honor me. May thy Holy Spirit make me a lowly and patient worker and waiter!

As a mother, this is a great comfort to me and my Spirit is bearing me witness that they are many mothers in my category who is identifying with this message.

Mothers are not only multi- tasking but are highly sacrificial in the calling. Not even your husband nor children can adequately say “THANK YOU” but the Lord knows how and will do it adequately. (Ps 25:7)

Be rest assured that He will bless you here on earth and also in heaven. For the many mothers whose “daughter and potential mothers” are held captive. The Lord will turn away their captors and you will sing and rejoice in the Lord, Whose Word never fail (Isa 49:24-26).

To all of us Happy Mother’s Day and a glorious week ahead. Please forward it to as many mothers as you can remember.

Remain blessed in the Lord
