Let every living soul praise the Lord. A journey of thirty- one days, brethren we need to praise our God, Who preserved our goings and our coming back. Whose eyes watches over us and who provided all that we needed. He gave us good health and did not allow any evil to prevail over us. O! Glory be to God in the Highest forever and ever more.

I can testify and I believe so many of us have one testimony or other to share concerning what the Lord did in our lives. The prophetic theme He us was so real that I place my hands in so many ways He lead and guided us as a ministry, individual and as a body of Christ.

In His faithfulness, He kept every word He spoke to us through the daily devotional. He is worthy to be praise and am very sure you are blessed.

Beloved, the month of October will finally be bowing out today and by His grace we will enter the month of November graciously. The desires of your heart can still be delivered before the end of today. So relax, don’t give up, twenty- four hours is still such a long time for God to accomplish what He proposed to do for you this month. Make sure you are at the duty post, for you don’t the hour nor the time the bridegroom will appear.

Be strong in the Lord, I must tell you. What ever that seems impossible to you today will surly give way for the King of Glory to come in (Ps 24:7). Every of your stubborn pursers will be consumed in the same place you triumph in the Name of Jesus.

As Jesus calm the storms in the lives of His disciples of old, so shall He also calm the raging storms in your life in the name of Jesus.

The message before us today is considering the place of the church of God and His worshippers in the troubles times especially in the time we are in. though the challenging might be very overwhelming but you know what, as a child of God, do not fret about that situation but position yourself to praise the Name of the Almighty God as did Jehoshaphat and as the Good Lord receives your high praise concerning that issues of concern, He will defect the enemies of your life. He will show what to do and how to be charge of that situation by His mighty and Out-stretched Arm (Acts 16:25). For lo, you will truly triumph as the myrtle trees do even in storm as they will always be in the bottom:

 “The myrtle trees that were in the bottom.” Zechariah 1:8

The vision in this chapter describes the condition of Israel in Zechariah’s day; but being interpreted in its aspect towards us, it describes the Church of God as we find it now in the world. The Church is compared to a myrtle grove flourishing in a valley. It is hidden, unobserved, secreted; courting no honour and attracting no observation from the careless gazer. The Church, like her head, has a glory, but it is concealed from carnal eyes, for the time of her breaking forth in all her splendour is not yet come.

The idea of tranquil security is also suggested to us: for the myrtle grove in the valley is still and calm, while the storm sweeps over the mountain summits. Tempests spend their force upon the craggy peaks of the Alps, but down yonder where flows the stream which maketh glad the city of our God, the myrtles flourish by the still waters, all unshaken by the impetuous wind.

How great is the inward tranquility of God’s Church! Even when opposed and persecuted, she has a peace which the world gives not, and which, therefore, it cannot take away: the peace of God which passeth all understanding keeps the hearts and minds of God’s people. Does not the metaphor forcibly picture the peaceful, perpetual growth of the saints? The myrtle sheds not her leaves, she is always green; and the Church in her worst time still hath a blessed verdure of grace about her; nay, she has sometimes exhibited most verdure when her winter has been sharpest. She has prospered most when her adversities have been most severe.

Hence the text hints at victory. The myrtle is the emblem of peace, and a significant token of triumph. The brows of conquerors were bound with myrtle and with laurel; and is not the Church ever victorious? Is not every Christian more than a conqueror through Him that loved him? Living in peace, do not the saints fall asleep in the arms of victory?

Therefore, do not be careless about the time we are in, for lo the bridegroom comes but the hour you knoweth not. Interesting, some of us live our lives without thought of what becomes of us when our eyelids close in death. It is very important that we consider our life style and pattern it in such a way that it will please your Father in heaven and you will receive not, away you, unfaithful servant. May it never be your portion, because there will be no second chance to redo what had been done. It is the only thing that will reversible except where God does it to the glory of His Name. Let us run this race with much caution and trembling So that our Father and all the heavenly hosts will bid us welcome as we approach the pearly gate of heaven, I hope to see you in that meeting in the cloud (1 Thess 4:17):

“Howl, fir tree, for the cedar is fallen.” Zechariah 11:2

When in the forest there is heard the crash of a falling oak, it is a sign that the woodman is abroad, and every tree in the whole company may tremble lest tomorrow the sharp edge of the axe should find it out. We are all like trees marked for the axe, and the fall of one should remind us that for every one, whether great as the cedar, or humble as the fir, the appointed hour is stealing on apace. I trust we do not, by often hearing of death, become callous to it.

May we never be like the birds in the steeple, which build their nests when the bells are tolling, and sleep quietly when the solemn funeral peals are startling the air. May we regard death as the most weighty of all events, and be sobered by its approach. It ill behoves us to sport while our eternal destiny hangs on a thread. The sword is out of its scabbard—let us not trifle; it is furbished, and the edge is sharp—let us not play with it. He who does not prepare for death is more than an ordinary fool, he is a madman. When the voice of God is heard among the trees of the garden, let fig tree and sycamore, and elm and cedar, alike hear the sound thereof.

Be ready, servant of Christ, for thy Master comes on a sudden, when an ungodly world least expects Him. See to it that thou be faithful in His work, for the grave shall soon be digged for thee. Be ready, parents, see that your children are brought up in the fear of God, for they must soon be orphans; be ready, men of business, take care that your affairs are correct, and that you serve God with all your hearts, for the days of your terrestrial service will soon be ended, and you will be called to give account for the deeds done in the body, whether they be good or whether they be evil.

May we all prepare for the tribunal of the great King with a care which shall be rewarded with the gracious commendation, “Well done, good and faithful servant”.

Finally in line with the theme for the month, let us sing this song as we round off the month so that the Lord will continue to order our steps right in Jesus Name.

Order my steps

Order my steps in Your word dear Lord,
Lead me, guide me everyday,
Send Your anointing, Father I pray;
Order my steps in Your word,
Please, order my steps in Your word.

Order my steps in Your word dear Lord,
Lead me, guide me everyday,
Send Your anointing, Father I pray;
Order my steps in Your word,
Please, order my steps in Your word.

Humbly, I ask Thee teach me Your will,
While You are working, help me be still,
‘Cos Satan is busy, God is real;
Order my steps in Your word,
Please, order my steps in Your word.

Bridle my tongue let my words edify,
Let the words of my mouth be acceptable in Thy sight,
Take charge of my thoughts both day and night;
Order my steps in Your word,
Please order my steps in Your word.

CHORUS
I want to walk worthy,
According to Thy will,
Please order my steps Lord,
And I’ll do Your blessed will.
The world is ever changing,
But You are still the same;
Please order my steps, Lord I’ll praise Your name.

Order my steps in Your word.
Order my tongue in Your word.
Guide my feet in Your word.
Wash my heart in Your word.
Show me how to walk in Your word.
Show me how to talk in Your word.
When I need a brand new song to sing,
Show me how to let Your praises ring,
In your word (2x),

Please order my steps in Your word,
Please order my steps in Your word.

REPEAT CHORUS ( 2 X )

Please order my steps in Your word,
Please order my steps in Your word

May the Good Lord continue to order your steps right in the remaining years of your life in the Name of Jesus. Amen!

Remain blessed in the Lord.
