Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!

O what a foretaste of glory divine!

Heir of salvation, purchase of God,

Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

Of the truth, Jesus is my assurance, my God is faithful even unto death. For he promised to be with you when you pass through water, flood, through fire, He promised to be with you. He knows what are passing through, even that overwhelming situation, that depleting sickness that is asking you where is your God, including that shameful and disgraceful challenges that are pointing to your face. The heathen are saying, “if your God be God, let him deliver you”.

But this morning, I want to say that it is an affront to ask God to prove Himself in whatever circumstance you have find yourself. Look around you, there is enough proofs that God exist and I have His written Word  to prove that my concerns are also His concerns. The Word of God said His eyes are over the righteous to do him good. The word of God said my weakness is turn to strength in Him (2 Cor 12: 9).

God framed the world out of nothing but Word. So beloved whatever be it, God is equal to it. He is more than able to handle it. I encourage you to locate that Word that will settle that your case or situation now in the Word of God. The same Word will set you on high above that situation and you will subdue it and be free in the name of Jesus Amen,

Like Jesus let us submit to the perfect will of God. Your difficult time might be borne out of mistakes but not all our difficulty situation is from a mistake, even obeying the will of God can earn you enough trouble but like Jesus let us leave it to His will and God will perfect all that concerning you and every error or hard time, you are going through borne out of mistake, humble yourself before God and He forgive you and heal your land and you will be truly be healed in the Name of Jesus, Amen! He is our justify if you believe:

“Just, and the justifier of him which believeth.” Romans 3:26

Being justified by faith, we have peace with God. Conscience accuses no longer. Judgment now decides for the sinner instead of against him. Memory looks back upon past sins, with deep sorrow for the sin, but yet with no dread of any penalty to come; for Christ has paid the debt of His people to the last jot and tittle, and received the divine receipt; and unless God can be so unjust as to demand double payment for one debt, no soul for whom Jesus died as a substitute can ever be cast into hell.

 It seems to be one of the very principles of our enlightened nature to believe that God is just; we feel that it must be so, and this gives us our terror at first; but is it not marvellous that this very same belief that God is just, becomes afterwards the pillar of our confidence and peace! If God be just, I, a sinner, alone and without a substitute, must be punished; but Jesus stands in my stead and is punished for me; and now, if God be just, I, a sinner, standing in Christ, can never be punished.

God must change His nature before one soul, for whom Jesus was a substitute, can ever by any possibility suffer the lash of the law. Therefore, Jesus having taken the place of the believer—having rendered a full equivalent to divine wrath for all that His people ought to have suffered as the result of sin, the believer can shout with glorious triumph, “Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect?”

Not God, for He hath justified; not Christ, for He hath died, “yea rather hath risen again.” My hope lives not because I am not a sinner, but because I am a sinner for whom Christ died; my trust is not that I am holy, but that being unholy, He is my righteousness.

My faith rests not upon what I am, or shall be, or feel, or know, but in what Christ is, in what He has done, and in what He is now doing for me. On the lion of justice the fair maid of hope rides like a queen.

For Christ is made our Passover lamb wherefore we are save from the accusers of the brethren, we are free and free forever through the liberty He bought by the cross, praise the Lord somebody! You are standing in Christ and He is your righteousness. God is not seeing you but Christ in your stead therefore you are made whole forever and same Jesus is inviting you today and He is asking now, “ do you believe Am able to handle that situation? Do you believe am able to heal you, set you free, settle that debt, turn around your situation, restore you to a latter glory that will be better than the former, but on one condition “ if thou canst believe” :

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe.” Mark 9:23

A certain man had a demoniac son, who was afflicted with a dumb spirit. The father, having seen the futility of the endeavours of the disciples to heal his child, had little or no faith in Christ, and therefore, when he was bidden to bring his son to Him, he said to Jesus, “If Thou cast do anything, have compassion on us, and help us.”

Now there was an “if” in the question, but the poor trembling father had put the “if” in the wrong place: Jesus Christ, therefore, without commanding him to retract the “if,” kindly puts it in its legitimate position. “Nay, verily,” He seemed to say, “there should be no ‘if’ about My power, nor concerning My willingness, the ‘if’ lies somewhere else.” “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

The man’s trust was strengthened, he offered a humble prayer for an increase of faith, and instantly Jesus spoke the word, and the devil was cast out, with an injunction never to return. There is a lesson here which we need to learn. We, like this man, often see that there is an “if” somewhere, but we are perpetually blundering by putting it in the wrong place. “If” Jesus can help me—”if” He can give me grace to overcome temptation—”if” He can give me pardon—”if” He can make me successful?

Nay, “if” you can believe, He both can and will. You have misplaced your “if.” If you can confidently trust, even as all things are possible to Christ, so shall all things be possible to you. Faith standeth in God’s power, and is robed in God’s majesty; it weareth the royal apparel, and rideth on the King’s horse, for it is the grace which the King delighteth to honour.

Girding itself with the glorious might of the all-working Spirit, it becomes, in the omnipotence of God, mighty to do, to dare, and to suffer. All things, without limit, are possible to him that believeth. My soul, canst thou believe thy Lord to-night?

Are you believing God to turn- around your situation for you this day or do you just know He can do it. The question is “do you believe that He will do it for you?

Dear reader, what is that thing God had spoken to you and now everything and everywhere you turn to is asking you “are sure it was God?” Clam down, a pastor shared with me yesterday something I will like to share with now said by a profound man of God. He said “when situation or something adverse happens, he does three things. First, he does not query God. Secondly, he does not believe that it is from Satan and thirdly he will pray or ask God a way out of that situation.

It then means, that this man of God does fret at the face of challenges rather he thank God concerning it according to the instruction of God and search the scripture for the Word that will set him above that situation and once the Word comes, behold light comes and he overcomes the situation.

Whoop! I guess we shall also begin to implore same and gain not only victory but also mastering over every challenging of lives in Jesus Name.

So let us engage God in our challenges believing that He will settle our situation faster and better by the His power and Might Amen! (Heb 11:6; Heb 12:1-2; Ps 71:16; 1 Cor 4:20; Ps 84:11; Heb 6:10)

Finally, just like our topic, am so convince that

God cannot lie – Tit 1:2

 God cannot repent – Num. 23:19

God by Himself – Heb 6:17-18

God is Faithful- Ps 89:8.

Do not be afraid but come along and sing this song written by Fanny Crosby who was not impeded by her blindness but wrote eight thousand hymns through her life time mostly during her adult life. come let us sing together and assure that God see you right there you and make a way out of that situation as you left your voice and heart unto him in Jesus Name:

BLESSED ASSURANCE

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!

O what a foretaste of glory divine!

Heir of salvation, purchase of God,

Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

This is my story, this is my song,

Praising my Savior all the day long;

This is my story, this is my song,

Praising my Savior all the day long.

Perfect submission, perfect delight!

Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;

Angels descending bring from above

Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

Perfect submission—all is at rest,

I in my Savior am happy and blest;

Watching and waiting, looking above,

Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

No situation is greater than God, nothing He cannot handle. Go to the throne of mercy and obtain from the Lord. He is gracious and loving and will settle everything that concerns you.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
