Beloved, by the grace of God we will be considering two vital word that can make or mar your plans and ways of life. The two key words we will be considering today are “Priorities” and “Choices”.

A deeper understanding to these words set you on an ending joy find only in the Lord through the pages of His Word. It will make you a person to be envied amidst your contemporaries. It will set you on a higher pedestal with evidences all around you.

You will scale height just by the understanding of these words. You will not only be diligent; you will also be productive when you get these principles right in your life. Praise the Lord.

Someone’s understand will be open by the evident of this teaching. Scales are fallen off someone’s eyes by the evident of this teaching coming our way today in the Name of Jesus. The light of Christ will be upon you and you will be a living wonder to your family and generation in the Name of Jesus.

Come along with me as we have a closer look at them:

A New Way To Look At Priorities

In most of the seminars I’ve attended on priorities we were given the traditional list:

GOD

Marriage

Family

Work

Etc.

For some reason that prioritized list never quite set right with me, as it seemed to separate God from the other important areas of our lives (marriage, etc.). Perhaps a better way of looking at priorities would be:

GOD

GOD in my marriage

GOD in my family

GOD in my work

Etc.

Chuck Swindoll comments, “Too often we give GOD a few minutes in the morning, put Him back on top of the shelf, then work our way down the bookcase of priorities without taking Him into account.

Seeking God alone in our quiet time each day should be the thing that encourages us to seek Him in every other area of our lives. He should take priority in every thought we think, in every word we speak, in every relationship, in everything. Period.

To determine what your real priorities are, take a moment to write them out. Now ask which is the most difficult area to give to God priority-wise.

As you ponder the answer to that question, consider, Matthew 6:19-21, 1 John 2:15-17, Philippians 3:7-8, Hebrews 12:1, 2.

“It is easy to say we’re putting Christ first, but do our lives really reflect this commitment? Write out a priority list based on how you spend your time. Next, write out one based on how you spend your money. Now write one based on what you feel most strongly about.” Write one out on what you think about the most. “Finally, write one based on what you talk about most.

“If these different lists were given to a court for evidence in determining your true priorities, how do you think the court would rule? Write out the list that you think an impartial jury might come up with.”

No person was ever great for God who failed to discipline himself to live by Biblical priorities. How would you categorize yourself ? Disciplined? Focused? Or mucking around in mediocrity?

The next to consider is “Choices” and here we go:

Choices

By the time you notice this page, you may be already screaming through your day.

Pressure. The incessant telephone. Deadlines. Unsolvable issues. Perhaps a temptation or two. Today, as His follower, you and I are faced with choices on how we will respond to the pounding pace and pressure. The demand for decisions. And so I will choose:

I CHOOSE LOVE…

No occasion justifies hatred; no injustice warrants bitterness. I choose to love. Today I will love God and what God loves. (1 Corinthians 16:14)

I CHOOSE JOY…

I will invite God to be the God of my circumstances. I will refuse the temptation to be cynical… the tool of the lazy thinker. I will refuse to see people as anything less than human beings, created by God. I will refuse to see any problem as anything less than an opportunity to see God. (1 Peter 1:8)

I CHOOSE PEACE…

I will live forgiven. I will forgive so that I may live. (Colossians 3:12-14)

I CHOOSE PATIENCE…

I will overlook the inconveniences of the world. Instead of cursing the one who takes my place, I’ll invite him to do so. Rather than complain that the wait is too long, I will thank God for a moment to pray. Instead of clenching my fist at new assignments, I will face them with joy and courage. (Ecclesiastes 7:8, 9)

I CHOOSE KINDNESS…

I will be kind to the poor, for they are alone. Kind to the rich, for they are afraid. And kind to the unkind, for such is how God treated me. (Ephesians 4:32)

I CHOOSE FAITHFULNESS…

Today, I will keep my promises. My debtors will not regret their trust. My associates will not question my word. My wife will not question my love. My children will never fear that their father will not come home. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

I CHOOSE GENTLENESS…

Nothing is won by force; I choose to be gentle. If I raise my voice, may it only be in praise. If I clench my fist, may it be only in prayer. If I make a demand, may it only be of myself. (Titus 3:1, 2)

I CHOOSE SELF-CONTROL…

I am a spiritual being. After this body is dead, my spirit will soar. I refuse to let what will rot rule the eternal. I will be drunk only by joy. I will be impassioned only by my faith. I will be influenced only by God. I will be taught only by Christ. I choose self-control. (Titus 1:8)

These are my choices, can you list out yours and take it before God, to help you fulfill these wonderful desires? Above all, get your priorities in life right and early enough so that you will live a fulfilled life all together, praise the Lord! somebody.

Light is here, I can see it, scales are fallen off the eyes of someone now, weights are being lifted. Captives are set free in the Name of Jesus.

May these fruit of the Spirit be evident in our lives and ministry as the day go by in the Name of our Lord Jesus Amen!
