July 31

Today, I will lift up my voice in praise, I will sing unto the Lord a joyful song, I have joy like a river, my soul magnify the Lord, who have the final say, everybody, look, look, see what the Lord has done.

What an Awesome God You Are. Let everything that has breath, praise The Lord. When the Spirit of the Lord is upon my soul, I will dance David dance. What a beautiful day and a beautiful way to end the month of July, the glorious month of the Lord.

Beloved, are you there? Are you happy? As you can see, am wearing my dancing shoes, is yours on or you are yet to put it on? Why the excitement someone is asking? Are you a visitor (Mk 24:18)?

Today, marks the end of the month and we are grateful unto the Lord for all He has done for us an individual, as family, as community, as a nation and as a body of Christ all through the month. We are most grateful for His glory upon our lives and all that we do. For the Lord has lifted us from the obscurity and made us sit with princes. He has lifted us out darkness unto His marvelous light.  And you know what, His reign, will have no end.

After, we have reign with Him here on earth, we will also reign with Him in heaven. The Lord will grant us an everlasting life, eternal life, put in another way.

Beloved, hope you are putting eternity in view with the way you live and carry on your daily activities? Always remember, we are here on pilgrimage; soon, we will be home bound.  Ever imagine how the end will be? In heaven or hell?

However, I want to introduce you again to the surest and safest place you must aim and target with your bow. Make sure you don’t miss it, when your time will be up here on earth. Come—on; let’s go :

“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” John 10:28

We believe in the eternal security of the saints. First, because they are Christ’s, and He will never lose the sheep which He has bought with His blood, and received of His Father.

Next, because He gives them eternal life, and if it be eternal, well then, it is eternal, and there can be no end to it, unless there can be an end to hell, and Heaven, and God. If spiritual life can die out, it is manifestly not eternal life, but temporary life. But the Lord speaks of eternal life, and that effectually shuts out the possibility of an end.

Observe, further, that the Lord expressly says, “They shall never perish.” As long as words have a meaning, this secures believers from perishing. The most obstinate unbelief cannot force this meaning out of this sentence.

Then, to make the matter complete, He declares that His people are in His hand, and He defies all their enemies to pluck them out of it. Surely it is a thing impossible even for the fiend of hell. We must be safe in the grasp of an Almighty Saviour.

Be it ours to dismiss carnal fear as well as carnal confidence, and rest peacefully in the hollow of the Redeemer’s hand.

Jesus said “I am going to prepare a place for you so that where I Am you will also be” (Jn 14:2-3). Why do you still doubt? Do not be deceive, He will surely come for you as the groom comes for his bride, will He come. Be prepared!

“And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish.” John 10:28

The Christian should never think or speak lightly of unbelief. For a child of God to mistrust His love, His truth, His faithfulness, must be greatly displeasing to Him. How can we ever grieve Him by doubting His upholding grace?

Christian! it is contrary to every promise of God’s precious Word that thou shouldst ever be forgotten or left to perish. If it could be so, how could He be true who has said, “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I never forget thee.”

What were the value of that promise—”The mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.” Where were the truth of Christ’s words—”I give unto My sheep eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand.”

Where were the doctrines of grace? They would be all disproved if one child of God should perish. Where were the veracity of God, His honour, His power, His grace, His covenant, His oath, if any of those for whom Christ has died, and who have put their trust in Him, should nevertheless be cast away? Banish those unbelieving fears which so dishonour God.

Arise, shake thyself from the dust, and put on thy beautiful garments. Remember it is sinful to doubt His Word wherein He has promised thee that thou shalt never perish (1 Cor 15:19;50-55). Let the eternal life within thee express itself in confident rejoicing.

“The gospel bears my spirit up:

A faithful and unchanging God

Lays the foundation for my hope,

In oaths, and promises, and blood.”

On this beautiful note, we will be rounding off the month. See you next month by God’s grace. Come, still wearing your dancing shoes as the Lord ushers us in to a “New Month”. Don’t be left out.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
