(Song) What shall I say unto the Lord… all I have to say is thank You Lord…

Beloveth… a time comes in your life… all you have to do is to “Slow down.”

I for one don’t like the word….”Slow Down”… You cannot catch me… doing that… I like being on the move… Call it whatever you like… activities, busyness, working, name it…  I like motion…not motion without moving… or result (She laugh).

So anything that will slow me down… I will say no to it with everything in me… but as I grow up and go deeper in my knowledge of God… I know that sometimes God orchestra it into someone’s life to either allow calamity to pass away… or for arrival of goodness or blessings from God…. either way… God uses it as a weapon to deliver good or perverse evil…

Beloveth…have you ever come to a point in your life and it seems all that you need to do is to “Slow down”? It will shock you to know that God do allow it sometimes… yes we all need it once in a while… our Lord Jesus also encountered such a time… Surprised O yes! He also have course to “slow down” …. I am amazed at that…

Beloveth, slowing down is not the same as stagnation… Surprise too? Hummmmh…

Come along with us for more discoveries….

Slow Down!

God is still in heaven. You are not responsible for doing it all – yourself – right now!            In a few minutes I am having breakfast with a business executive who is experiencing recurring health problems (heart attack 5 years ago). Unabated work pressure, frequent travel, and little time for himself are taking their toll on his life. Perhaps slowing down is at least part of the solution. Six pointers:

  • Allow yourself some time to be lazy and unproductive. Rest isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity.

Because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.‘” (Mark 6:31)

  • Once in a while, turn down the lights and the volume. Turn down the throttle, and the invitations. Less really can be more.

Make it your ambition to lead a quiet lifeBetter one handful with tranquillity than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind.” (1 Thessalonians 4:11a; Ecclesiastes 4:6)

  • Create a place in your home — At your work… in your heart… where you can go for quiet and recollection.

The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence foreverIn quietness and trust is your strength… ” (Isaiah 32:17; 30:15a)

  • Take time just to think — Action is good and necessary, but it’s fruitful only if we muse, ponder, and mull.

Watch your step. Use your head. Make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times!

Dont live carelessly, unthinkingly… ” (Ephesians 5:15, 17b – The Message)

  • Talk and play with children – It will bring out the unhurried little person inside you.

Jesus said, ‘… Whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes meLet the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:5, 14)

  • Take time to wonder — Without wonder, life is merely existence.

When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?” (Psalm 8:3, 4)

Beloveth, what is man that God is so mindful of him?… Slowing down can never be the same as being stagnated… they are wide apart… as one is doing some repairs either in your personal life, business, family, career or ministry… the other is getting you stuck… motion without movement…or activity… may God deliver us from such a situation in Jesus Name…. Amen!!! Alleluia!!!

I don’t know what season of life that you are… peradventure you are in the season of “slow down” take it easy… be clam… it will soon be over… while it last.. Learn all you can from it… and pick up your life and move on as soon as it is over… all shall be well sooner than you ever imagine in Jesus Name….
