Everlasting father, immortal Redeemer, hallow be Thy Name. How Excellent Thou Are! You made the universe by a spoken Word, with an outstretched arm You held it firm that it cannot be shaken even by the whirlwinds. When I look at the works of Your Hands I marvel at Who You Are. Thank You, God for the world so sweet, for the air we breathe, for the sun that gives light in the day and the moon by night, for the showers that fall both on the good and evil.
Thank You, God for the people You surround me with, for not creating me in the wilderness of love and care. I appreciate You Lord for all that You made possible. Thank You for Your unbroken Love and Presence in the Ministry You’ve placed in my hands. Let all praise and worship, adoration be given unto You Alone Who is worthy.
Beloved, do you know that part of the reason while Christ was born was to refute all prevaricate of the devil? Often times we desire to be good children of God but at the same time you see yourself struggling to obey and observe the commandments of God. Why? The enemy, the devil goes around looking for whom to deceive and destroy by convincing you to disobey God and join his league.
As we are in the mood of celebration, is so important you know some basic truth and give him not an inch.
“Thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee.” Deut. 33:29
That arch-enemy, the devil, is a liar from the beginning; but he is so very plausible that, like mother Eve, we are led to believe him. Yet in our experience we shall prove him a liar.
He says that we shall fall from grace, dishonor our profession, and perish with the doom of apostates; but, trusting in the Lord Jesus, we shall hold on our way and prove that Jesus loses none whom His Father gave Him. He tells us that our bread will fail, and we shall starve with our children; yet the Feeder of the ravens has not forgotten us yet, and He will never do so, but will prepare us a table in the presence of our enemies.
He whispers that the Lord will not deliver us out of the trial which is looming in the distance, and he threatens that the last ounce will break the camel’s back. What a liar he is! For the Lord will never leave us, nor forsake us. “Let him deliver him now!” cries the false fiend: but the Lord will silence him by coming to our rescue.
He takes great delight in telling us that death will prove too much for us. “How wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?” But there also he shall prove a liar unto us, and we shall pass through the river singing psalms of glory.
In our days, gadgets has taken over the events of the day and the chief deceiver is at it again, using same to trap you and I but we need to cheek it or we are heading to disaster (God forbid). The next message will throw more light on it, especially when we leave what is important and run after things that are significant in our own value system but has no internal value afterall:
Accelerating Complexity And Velocity Spell Disaster
Recently I spent time with a couple whose marriage is in serious trouble. Both are talented, highly educated, and eminently “successful” in their professions. The nub of their problem, it seems to me, is their mad rush to gain a sense of self-worth and acceptance through high achievement and the incessant acquisition of things. The net effect is an accelerating pace and complexity of life that has spun out of control, causing a breakdown in relationships. Consequently, both parties have lost touch with each other, and are traveling in different orbits, and on contrary frequencies.
Their tragic situation reminds me of the worldwide convention Satan called. In his opening address to his evil angels, he said, “We can’t keep the Christians from going to church. We can’t keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth. We can’t even keep them from forming an intimate, abiding relationship experience in Christ. If they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken. So let them go to their churches, let them have their conservative lifestyles.
“But steal their time, so they can’t gain that relationship with Jesus Christ. This is what I want you to do, angels. Distract them from gaining hold of their Savior and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day! How shall we do this shouted the angels. ‘Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds,’ he answered. ‘Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow. Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work 6 – 7 days a week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles.’
“Keep them from spending time with their children. As their family fragments, soon, their home will offer no escape from the pressures of work! Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small voice. Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive. And see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical music constantly. This will jam their minds and break that union with Christ.
“Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day. Invade their driving moments with billboards. Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogues, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products, services, and false hopes. Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines so the husbands will believe that external beauty is what’s important, and they’ll become dissatisfied with their wives. Ha! That will fragment those families quickly!
“And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences and unsettled emotion. Go ahead, let them be involved in soul winning. But crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from Christ. Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family for the good of the cause. It will work! It will work!”
QUESTION: Are you “BUSY”? (Adapted FOTM)
Have you seen the devices of the devil to keep you away from having a real relationship with your Maker. Pray to God to help you, else you perish. You cannot help yourself, tell God to help you and sure He will.
