Gracious God we are grateful for today, the life, the strength, the blessings, the healings, the deliverance, the provisions, O my God, its uncountable, is too numerous to mention. Thank You Father, thank You Lord. Blessed be Your Holy Name for ever and ever! Amen.
Holy Spirit of God Divine, thank You for being there for us. Always leading us in the path that is too great for our understanding, You make it easy for us, showing us the secret things that belong to God Alone, You help our infirmities to pray right, You energizes us when our strength is failing us, encouraging us to keep going not giving in to weariness. Glory be to Your Name alone.
Beloved, thank God for the week that is ending today, am very sure you saw His hand in everything that concerns you. Those areas of concerns, He manifested Himself strong just for You.
Ever thinking of living the best kind of life that is pleasing to God, but seeing yourself not living as you wish. You got worried and ever imagine if you will ever make.
I want to encourage you my dear, you are not alone, I was once there, until the Holy Spirit made to understand that it is not my righteousness but the imputed righteousness of Christ in me. It is the blood of Jesus that pleads our case before God. As against the judgment that awaits us, God’s mercy pleads our case.
When you get that understanding, you ask the Holy Spirit to help you. You cannot do it on your strength nor power but with the help of your beloved counsel- Holy Spirit, you will not miss the mark. May God give you more understanding in Jesus Name.
As a child of God the message before us must be our desire every day. You wake up with it in your Spirit mind and go to bed with same. You must desire to have a “principle within” or you will live a careless live that is not pleasing to God.
So make it you objective to have a principle within and thereafter pledged a commitment as done by a fellow pilgrims:
I Want A Principle Within
“I want a principle within,
Of watchful, godly fear,
A sensibility of sin,
A pain to feel it near.” (Charles Wesley)
The Principle Within is that commitment to absolute INTEGRITY… To uncompromising, honest living that squares with the character of God as revealed in Scripture.
How would I know if I am living by that “Principle Within”? Here are three specifics:
- Motives: I am resolved that in my dealings with people, there will be no hidden agenda: No manipulation of others toward my own ends.
“Let your love be without hypocrisy.” (Romans 12:9)
- Impressions: I am resolved to not knowingly allow any impressions about myself or my business that do not square with reality: No shading of the truth. No delaying of payments. No cutting of corners on the quality of service or on the quality of the product.
“You… outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy… ” (Matthew 23:28)
- Speech: I am resolved to discipline my conversation in such a way that the verbalization and the reality are precisely the same:
“Whatever you have to say let your ‘yes‘ be a plain ‘yes‘ and your ‘no‘ be a plain ‘no‘ — anything more than this has a taint of evil.” (Matthew 5:37 Phillips Translation)
Wesley went on to write:
“Help me the first approach to feel
Of pride or wrong desire:
To catch the wandering of my will,
And quench the kindling fire.“
Principled men and women who are determined to adhere to that godly “Principle Within” are sensitive to the slightest inkling of compromise within their breast. QUESTION: “Are you man or woman enough to belong to that rare breed of principled disciples of Christ in an age of unprincipled people?” I know you are!
Then read the pledged below to adopt or to add more considering the fact that the day is nearer now
My Commitment As A Christian
The following was written by a young African pastor and tacked on the wall of his house:
“MY COMMITMENT AS A CHRISTIAN”
“I’m part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have Holy Spirit power. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I’m a disciple of His. I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.
“My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I’m finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals.
“I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don’t have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power.
“My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way rough, my companions few, my guide reliable, my mission clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, or ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.
“I won’t give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, preached up for the cause of Christ. I am a disciple of Jesus. I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work till He stops me. And when He comes for His own, He will have no problems recognizing me – my banner will be clear!”
I encourage you to paste this commitment where you will read it not only daily but always!
Nice weekend from us to you, see you by the grace of God next week. I love you.
Remain blessed in the Lord.
