Praise Him, Praise Him, king of glory praise Him, Praise Jehovah, Alleluia Amen! It is good to praise the Lord Alleluia. There is none Holy as the Lord; there is none besides Him, neither is there any Rock as my God, there is none Holy as the Lord. I will praise Him for ever more. I cannot do without You, I Cannot do without You O! Lord.

Beloved, are you singing along with me? Are you in a merry mood this day? Well, you have to shake off the beast into fire, and be stir yourself like the eagle you are, keep going, keep moving. No waiting; No packing. Keep going; keep moving. Are there with me. Year 2014 has gone in history. You cannot live in its shadow or sun shine again but you can only refer to it to shape the future.

Though, there are lessons to learn but you must not allow it to immobilize you, no matter what it is. Don’t give the fallen one a foot stool to torment you with fear and reduce your self-worth. Never allow that or you are in for a big trouble. You may not get out of alive and healthy; You are in for a broken live and shattered future.

You may seems not to understand it now, is a far journey to embark on and you will never come out of it complete and whole rather you will come out shattered and broken, with either a terminal diseases and possibly in debt. So come out of it now and ask God to help you, a devotional from us, questions where necessary will truly help you.

Don’t forget that one of the key principle or focus of this ministry is to keep encouraging you to keep your heart with all diligent because there lies the issues of life. If you lose guard over your heart; you lose all. You will lose your integrity, your self-worth and in some case you will fall into sins and backslide. The price is too much; is too high to pay as well. Please don’t sit down there and suck. Get up and fly (the Eagle way).

Take this period to strategize to move on and you will not have a regret. Tell Satan to go behind you and focus on your “Master” Jesus Christ. That Satan can be anybody. Jesus told peter “His lieutenant” to get behind Him. So whoever the enemy is fronting or is using to get at you, command that person behind you.

Despite all that might have happen to you last year, hear what your eternal Father have to say to you for He knows your weakness and your strength more than you do. He has your eternal perspective in mind than whatever is happening around you now:

I will make you into a great nation,

I will bless you,

I will make your name great,

and you will be a blessing.—Genesis 12:2

Big assignments require big characters. God will give you a responsibility in proportion to the size of your character. In Bible times, a person’s name represented his character; to know someone’s name was to know what the person was like. That’s why God changed the name of some when He transformed their character. For example, the Lord wanted to bless all the nations of the earth through Abram, yet Abram’s character was too weak for such a great task. God said He would make Abram’s name great so that He could make him a blessing to future generations. Then over the next twenty-five years, God developed Abraham’s character to match the name He had given him.

God sees your life from His eternal perspective. He will take whatever time is necessary to grow your character to match His assignment for you. If you have not received a divine commission lately, it may be that your character needs maturing. Are you impatient to begin your work before God has refined your character? A small character will fail in a large responsibility every time. Don’t be too hasty to get to the work. Character-building can be long and painful. It took twenty-five years before God entrusted Abraham with his first son and set in motion the establishment of the nation of Israel. Yet God was true to His word, and thousands of years later people continue to be blessed by the account of Abraham’s life and by his descendant, Jesus.

How is God building your character? Do you sense He has a task for you that will require a far greater man or woman than you presently are? Will you yield to God as He works in your life to prepare you for your next assignment?

As I was writing above, year 2014 has come play its role and gone. However, there is a reason why God preserved you and brought you into a new year; a new dawn just to get you going to where He wants you to be.

While are we dwelling on these things early is because you need to get it right from the word “GO”. My calling focuses mostly on the hurting ones and those in despair state. However, you don’t need to get there before you join this moving train. It’s not waiting for you, you would rather join it so as to know the signs and entices of the evil ones to know how to escape his net.

Things might be going on well today and we pray it continues but you never know what destiny holds for you. I was once a banker, living well and cruising all the way until the time come for me to answer the call of “My Master” Jesus Christ, I have to stop every other thing for Him to pull me through the trainings (which am still undergoing) and to tell you truth it was not easy until I got the release last year February to go back to “work” to help and fund my ministry which I am still undergoing trainings in one thing and the other.

Before the release nothing worked. The businesses shut down, my husband’s too. Until God caught our attention, nothing worked. It was difficulty to feed (as we are used to) but God keep providing all we need through His sons and daughters, whom He chose to use. But before then we were not used to depending on Him to buy provisions, pay bills and look good. We only depend on Him to protect our jobs so that we will provide every other thing we need. And that is what most of us still do. Asking God to protect us why we defend ourselves in the war front and sometime the bullet get to us despite our armories. That’s by the way, Praise God.

As we saw in the first message, God developed Abraham character because of the task He had for him, so He did Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Jonah, and in the New Testament Jesus, continued with His disciples and later Paul and to many of us through our founding fathers in the faith and men of God of today through whom He has been shaping our character till today. Hear what your heavenly Father have to say over your character development:

God Places Our Character Development Over Our Comfort

I asked God for strength, that I might achieve. I was made weak, that I might humbly learn to obey:

“It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decreesBe merciful to me, O Lord, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and my body with grief. My life is consumed by anguish and my years by groaning; my strength fails because of my affliction, and my bones grow weak.” (Psalm 119:71; 31:9, 10) (See Psalm 119:67; Hebrews 12:10)

I asked for health, that I might do great things. I was given infirmity, that I might do better things:

“We are pressed on every side by troubles, but not crushed and broken. We are perplexed because we dont know why things happen as they do, but we dont give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep goingSee, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this… ” (2 Corinthians 4:8, 9 – Living; Isaiah 48:10, 11a)

I asked for riches, that I might be happy. I was given poverty, that I might be wise:

“Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before himWhat good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?” (James 2:5b; 1 Corinthians 1:27-29; Matthew 16:26) (See Proverbs 3:13-18; 4:7-9; 8:10, 11, 19-21; Luke 6:20; James 1:9)

I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men. I was given weakness, that I might feel the need for God:

“We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.” (2 Corinthians 1:8, 9) (See 2 Corinthians 4:7-11)

Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered. I am, among men, most rightly blessed!

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” (Matthew 5:3-5)

Are you identifying yourself in the second part of message? We all need it you know, sometime we want to wish some things away just because of the pains that come with it, but if left undone or unchecked leads to greater fall. Consider King Saul, coming from what we will refer today as no background, how terrible his end was. What about priest Eli, who refused to train his children, how the whole generations wipe off. Not to mention Gehazi, who refuse to allow his training to pass through him, how his end was. Judas Iscariot is a recent event, how despite the tutelage he received from Jesus, the greed in him still destroyed him.

So we must be very careful as the year is taking off, to plan ourselves with God helping us, so that will be in faith, not cast away up until the end of year.

Apostle Paul, when he was undergoing his own training later had these to say in 1 Timothy 1:12 – 17. And as he charged Timothy from verse 18-19, we are all charge this day to avoid making a shipwreck of our faith like those mentioned in that verse 20, don’t forget they were once in the faith. What happen to them you must ask yourself and be warned.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
