Beloveth… “What kind of man is this?” The disciples once asked this question and today many of us are asking it in different forms as it comes to us…

I have had encounters that left me speechless and sleepless…. I will sleep and woke up suddenly and wondered “Is it for real?” Sometimes, I am confronted with some challenges that left me wondering how am I going to come out of this… and suddenly light comes in form of knowledge or through someone or God spoke to me through a sign or written word and that mountain will come clashing down like pack of cards and I am wondering…. ehhhh.

One interesting thing about the Person of Jesus is that He leaves you wondering…. Is it that easy? He unknots a knotty situation with ease… He intervenes in it as if it never happened at all….

Beloveth, why do we usually fret in the face of unpalatable circumstances even when the Bible instructed us otherwise? Isa.41:10.

You may have an answer but sometimes we don’t even have a serious reasons for that except that we are simply afraid that we are alone in that situation… beloveth… I had an experienced over the weekend that left me speechless… I was disturbed in my spirit but when I released that am limited and I have someone who is not limited I quickly called Him into the matter…

Yes, I shot a prayer up and asked God for peace and then for mercy by intervening in the situation till I do what am suppose to do to forestall my fears… then God spoke to through a whatsapp post… and it reads “The Lord is with me; I shall not be afraid… beloveth I type Amen! and that was it… that was the reassuring Word I needed… God sent it to ma and afterward I had peace… yes I had an inner peace… I went to church for Sunday worship and today being Monday… God honoured me by giving me the opportunity I prayed for and I did what am suppose to do and that was it…

Beloveth, oftentimes, we feel that God usually leave us when we encounter problem(s)… we fret, we get worried, we are filled up with an anxiety that we can’t explain… beloveth… but if only we can slow down, look up as the psalmist advised us… I will lift (look) up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help?  Ps 124:1…

Then hear what he said in the following verses…. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth… He will not suffer Thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth Israel neither slumber nor sleep… The Lord is Thy Keeper: The Lord is Thy shade upon Thy right hand… the sun shall not smite Thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil; He shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this forth, and even for evermore… (Ps.121:2-8).

Now I can truly identify with the disciples of Jesus when they said “What Kind of man Is this?

Jesus calmed their troubled sea… by just speaking a Word…. “Peace be calm”…. And the storm obeyed…. The wave ceased…

Sincerely if only we will listen to our Spirit in troubled situations we will hear Jesus calming our storms…. Nothing can stand before Him… absolutely nothing… In my own case also Jesus sent a Word… and that was it… And it calmed my troubled heart…

So beloveth are you experiencing anything right now that you want Jesus to intervene or you have an awesome testimony that left you wondering who Jesus is? Either way… God is still in the business of doing good; He will show up… He will not delay…

Come along with us to discover more from the story below:

“What Kind Of Man Is This?”

Then He got into the boat and His disciples followed Him. Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke Him, saying, Lord, save us! Were going to drown! He replied, You of little faith, why are you so afraid? Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey Him!” (Matthew 8:23-27)

At 2:30 p.m. I was on the phone with an attorney discussing a legal issue. At 6:30 p.m. his 12-year-old daughter was dead. Icy roads. An auto accident.

Life’s storms, like the disciples who were caught in a vicious gale are often:

  • Without warning
  • Furious
  • Overwhelming – The waves “swept over the boat.

Jesus led the Twelve into the boat, and proceeded to fall asleep. An overpowering storm then arose. Surrounded as we are by life’s furious and unexpected storms, we often find ourselves crying out:

  • Did not Christ lead us (into the boat)? Do we not have the right to a storm-free journey?
  • Is He, or is He not sovereign over our lives?
  • Is God’s timetable different than ours in calming life’s storms?
  • When Jesus seems to be sleeping, what does it mean? He is indifferent? Or is He stretching our faith?

How we answer these questions will depend upon the object of our focus:

  • The storm, which guarantees nail biting. Ulcers. Panic. Or:
  • Jesus, who will lead us to inner peace: “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.” (Isaiah 26:3)

Why does God allow furious, overwhelming storms “without warning“? I don’t know. But I do know that “if God were small enough to be understood He would not be big enough to be worshipped.” After Jesus calmed the storm, the disciples exclaimed, “What kind of man is this?” And God’s answer? The Sovereign God of our every circumstance.

QUESTION: Have you discovered “what kind of man Jesus is?” If you have, then your life will be distinguished by an inner peace… whatever your state of affairs.

Yes… I have an inner peace when I caught my Word for the moment… “The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid”….. I had “peace” after typing Amen!!!  And according Isa.26:3- Thou will keep him (me) in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he (I) trusted in Thee…

Beloveth, do you trust God to see you through the remaining part of this year? Do you trust Him enough to bring to past your desires and dreams before the end of the year?

There is so much uncertainty in our world today… but He will bring our desires to past if we keep Him in Front…. And keep reminding Him about what we trust Him to do… He will surely come through for you and I… (Ps.37:1-5).

Beloveth, on this note we declare this week open in Jesus Name… we will return at the end with greater testimonies in Jesus Name…

Keep sliding with Jesus, it pays to trust Him… alleluia Amen!!!
