When Christ Gives a Command

0

Hosanna in the highest, hosanna in the highest the angels are singing Hosanna in the highest. On the way to Calvary He wept for me, Jesus wept for me, Saviour wept for me, all the way to Calvary He wept for me, He die to set me free.

Father, we Thank You for this great week worthy of remembrance of Your love thousands years ago. Thank You for Your undying love which save a wretched like me. Thank You for giving us the best You have that we may return back to You. Thank You Father; Thank You Lord.

Beloved, hope you celebrated the Palm Sunday yesterday? Christ triumphant entry into Jerusalem which today represent our triumph over the kingdom of darkness and all his cohort. Jesus is “all hail” as He went down to Jerusalem so as to deliver you from everlasting damnation. Glory be to God in the highest.

This week known as the Passion Week a lot of our teachings will be bring to remembrance the journey of Christ to the cross and His victory over death and reassurance of our joy through Christ Jesus up until the end of the month.

The only reason why we sing, dance, rejoice and shout is here. If not for the death of Christ on the Calvary and His resurrection and the promise of eternal life, we are of all men, miserable. Why? Because the death and resurrection of Christ is the only assurance of our eternal life. So make sure You don’t miss it.

A consideration of today’s topic “when Christ gives a command” is something that should gladden every born again child of God’s heart. Why do I say so?

It means that for every command given by Christ concerning me in His word if I diligently obey it, I will be a conquering even as Christ is. Every instruction given by Christ to His disciples and the attending blessings are mine if I will harken and obey Him.

The second message made it clear to us that we should count ourselves privilege to be used by God. The psalmist said “what is man that yea are so mindful of him?

Beloveth, whatever you are is given and you must therefore be grateful to God the Giver and you must also use it to honour Him in return.

The life of Christ teaches us a lot on humility. When the Spirit of God gave me rheme on this “ have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, …. He became obedient to the point of death, even death on the cross.. God highly exalted Him… (NASB), I came trembling in the area of my life where I was struggling with.

Today, having a better understanding, I am an overcomer in Christ Jesus and God is adding more of His beauty and glory in my life. Beloved, it pays to humble yourself and obey God even when You don’t have full understanding why You should.

Let us go through the wordings, “having this attitude in you”… “a thing to be grasped”. Beloved, many Christians are having problems with this “having the attitude of Christ” so many regard it as foolishness, while some will not even want to ponder on it.

Truth is constant and there is no bending with God. If He did not bend the rule with son then ask yourselves will He bend it for me. Or have you forgotten, that Christ shared the same nature with God? (Phil 2:6) Christ also showed His willingness when He said “…I lay down my life, that I may take it again. No one taketh it away from me, but I lay it down of myself (Jn 10:17-18).

Beloved, we must humble ourselves to receive from God. There are some relationship we must have to humble ourselves so that God will exalt us even as He exalted the One Who He instructed us to have His attitude, never mind whether you are on the right, God knows everything, therefore He will yet exalt you when the time is right.

Come let us discover the truth in Christ commands and the blessings of yielding ourselves to His bidding. He is God forever and ever:

So He sent two of His disciples and told them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a water jug will meet you. Follow him.”—Mark 14:13

The two disciples were given very detailed instructions to go to a certain town and look for a particular man performing a specific task. He would have a large room, furnished and ready to observe the Passover. These instructions might have seemed unusual had it not been their Lord speaking, but the two disciples obeyed and found everything just as Jesus had said. Jesus knew exactly what they would find, and so He guided them specifically. One of the most memorable and precious times the disciples would spend with their Teacher hinged on the obedience of these two.

Obedience to Christ’s commands always brings fulfillment. When the Lord gives you instructions, obey immediately. Don’t wait until you have figured it all out and everything makes perfect sense to you. Sometimes God will lead you to do things that you will not fully understand until after you have done them.

He does not usually reveal all the details of His will when He first speaks to you. Instead, He tells you enough so you can implement what He has said, but He withholds enough information so that you must continue to rely upon His guidance. Your response will affect what God does next in your life. Your obedience may affect how others around you experience Christ as well. If there is any directive God has given you that you have not obeyed, obey that word immediately and watch God’s perfect plan unfold in your life.

More:

“I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.” Luke 19:40

But could the stones cry out? Assuredly they could if He who opens the mouth of the dumb should bid them lift up their voice. Certainly if they were to speak, they would have much to testify in praise of Him who created them by the word of His power; they could extol the wisdom and power of their Maker who called them into being.

Shall not we speak well of Him who made us anew, and out of stones raised up children unto Abraham? The old rocks could tell of chaos and order, and the handiwork of God in successive stages of creation’s drama; and cannot we talk of God’s decrees, of God’s great work in ancient times, in all that He did for His church in the days of old? If the stones were to speak, they could tell of their breaker, how he took them from the quarry, and made them fit for the temple, and cannot we tell of our glorious Breaker, who broke our hearts with the hammer of His word, that He might build us into His temple?

If the stones should cry out they would magnify their builder, who polished them and fashioned them after the similitude of a palace; and shall not we talk of our Architect and Builder, who has put us in our place in the temple of the living God? If the stones could cry out, they might have a long, long story to tell by way of memorial, for many a time hath a great stone been rolled as a memorial before the Lord; and we too can testify of Ebenezers, stones of help, pillars of remembrance.

The broken stones of the law cry out against us, but Christ Himself, who has rolled away the stone from the door of the sepulcher, speaks for us. Stones might well cry out, but we will not let them: we will hush their noise with ours; we will break forth into sacred song, and bless the majesty of the Most High, all our days glorifying Him who is called by Jacob the Shepherd and Stone of Israel.

Beloved, something must happen this week in our live. Diligently walk with Christ as we go through His Passion this week, God will yet destroy every ills in your live, roll away stones from the sepulcher and make your live more beautiful. Make sure you fellow through for I see many testimonies coming your way in Jesus Name.

I decree this week blessed in the Name of Jesus Christ. I ask from the Lord and I decree unto you that the package of this season be delivered to you through the Joy that in Christ Jesus Amen!

Remain blessed in the Lord.

Silence

0

In the Presence of God Alleluia Joy, In the presence of God Alleluia Joy x2 I have Joy like a river, Joy like a river x2 in my soul x2.

Thank You Father for the joy of knowing You and seeing Your goodness in the land of the living. You are God and You changeth not but You standout sure forever alleluia. Thank You for the miracles of the week, the deliverances, healings, provisions and protection Your hand has wrought for us, for Faithful are You Lord.

Beloved, hope You had a pleasant week full of testimonies as was declared at the beginning of the week by the Spirit of God. I have and am sure You have also. Thank You Lord for confirming Your Word among us.

Thank God is Friday. Another opportunity is here again to take on the practical teaching from the Lord’s table.  And today we will considering the word “Silence” and “the Person of the Holy Spirit.”

In our world today “silence” is one virtue that is hard to imbibe and live out. In a world where everybody wants to be heard and seen and so much noise in the air can “silence” be practice? In a world where sickness and hunger is revenging the societies and death tolls on increase can silence be seen? As good as this virtue is, it is rare among the sons of men. With improve technology on devices like sound instruments, mobile phones and radios and such like even the babies are getting accustomed to this horror “noise” rather than serene environment.

What is the way forward as we daily face this challenges? How do we return this all important virtue in our time?

We however try to consider the dictionary meaning of this word “silence,” so as to have a good understanding of it. So many version have this opinion -“quietness, not speaking, ignoring of something. It can also be said to be state of stopping someone or something from making noise.

Beloved, are you familiar with this popular saying “silence is golden?” Why should we observe “silence” in our daily routine as children of God? Do you know that the Holy Spirit have an attribute as same as our topic depicts and He works best on individual as such a state?

At first I had no idea on how to go about this topic until the Spirit of God helped my understanding with the attributes of the Holy Spirit. I was humbled and it a great privilege bring this message today our way. I believe you will not only read; You will also put it to work. Let us read more:

Silence

There will be silence before Thee… ” (Psalm 65:1a) (NASB)

Silence: A rather unfamiliar experience in today’s world.

Not much practiced.

Not much allowed in our cacophony of shrill voices, trite opinions, endless information, and the blaring of brassy music and mind-numbing media dissipation.

To be alone before God in SILENCE is either

Frightening

or

Healing

Depending upon the condition of one’s soul.

There will be silence before Thee… “

When, in that Day, we appear before The Consuming Presence, the righteous Lamb, slain, resurrected, and now reigning…

There will be SILENCE.” (Revelation 8:1)

For some the silence will turn to worship, adulation, fullness of joy and eternal bliss.

For the rest it will mean weeping and gnashing of teeth: Eternal separation from all that is good, righteous and pure. (See Matthew 8:12)

Amidst the clamor and cluttering noise of our day, it behooves us to learn to live in the presence of God in SILENCE.

For it is here and only here that He will be known.

Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10a)

Did You read that “for some, silence will turn to worship, fullness of joy and eternal bliss while for some others, it will be for gnashing of teeth, Eternal separation from all good thing, God forbid.

So what will you prefer your silence to depict? More from the Person of the Holy Spirit:

“He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove.” Matthew 3:16

As the Spirit of God descended upon the Lord Jesus, the head, so He also, in measure, descends upon the members of the mystical body. His descent is to us after the same fashion as that in which it fell upon our Lord. There is often a singular rapidity about it; or ever we are aware, we are impelled onward and heavenward beyond all expectation. Yet is there none of the hurry of earthly haste, for the wings of the dove are as soft as they are swift.

Quietness seems essential to many spiritual operations; the Lord is in the still small voice, and like the dew, His grace is distilled in silence.

The dove has ever been the chosen type of purity, and the Holy Spirit is holiness itself. Where He cometh, everything that is pure and lovely, and of good report, is made to abound, and sin and uncleanness depart.

Peace reigns also where the Holy Dove comes with power; He bears the olive branch which shows that the waters of divine wrath are assuaged.

Gentleness is a sure result of the Sacred Dove’s transforming power: hearts touched by His benign influence are meek and lowly henceforth and for ever.

Harmlessness follows, as a matter of course; eagles and ravens may hunt their prey—the turtledove can endure wrong, but cannot inflict it. We must be harmless as doves.

The dove is an apt picture of love, the voice of the turtle is full of affection; and so, the soul visited by the blessed Spirit, abounds in love to God, in love to the brethren, and in love to sinners; and above all, in love to Jesus.

The brooding of the Spirit of God upon the face of the deep, first produced order and life, and in our hearts, He causes and fosters new life and light. Blessed Spirit, as Thou didst rest upon our dear Redeemer, even so rest upon us from this time forward and for ever.

Beloved, these and many more are all the benefits of “Silence” as depicts by the way of the Holy Spirit. Is it not something worth more than gold? Are we not supposed to be desirous of it as God’s people?

Practice “silence” and worship God as we learnt today, going forward. Stay away from noise and hear the Spirit of God witness in your life. Not forgetting that “silence is golden” and is the best state for the Trinity operations (Ps 46:10a; Gen 1:2).

Finally, examine and practice all we have learnt all through the week and experience them as we were also taught, no exception to holiness. Beloved, stand your watch; don’t be tried. Have Christ reoriented lately? Capping it with “silence” as you live in His presence.

See you next week by His grace.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

Christ Must Reorient You

0

O! my Redeemer, Redeemer liveth, Redeemer O! my Redeemer Redeemer liveth Redeemer, Redeemer liveth. Blessed be Thy Name of the Lord, He is Worthy to be praise and adore Lord, we lift our holy hands in one accord, singing blessed be Thy Name, Lord! Blessed be Thy Name of the Lord.

Father in heaven, hallow be Thy Name we glorify Your Name, thank You Father. The works of Your hand have come to worship You, to praise You for the Wonders You have done. Glory be to Your Name forever and ever in Jesus Name.

Thank You Father for the gift of another day, Thank You for preserving and keeping us from all evil. Thank You for being God indeed unto us. You are so mighty that we cannot bore You or get You wearied. Our dear parents  may be tried of us and fear might grip men concerning us, but thank for God Who made the heaven and the earth.

Thank You for being the pillars upon which the earth lean and every other thing depends upon. We rejoice in You Father, for You are the joy of our salvation and with joy we will draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Beloved, sing unto the Lord; for He has done excellent things; this is known in the all the earth. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion; for great is the Holy one of Israel in our midst.

Beloved, a little more on yesterday’s topic standing Your watch makes You a watchman or woman, Jesus is the Good Shepherd and He watches over You from all evil and today He is asking You to keep watch not like the hireling who flee when seeth the wolf coming but to imitates Him, the Good Shepherd by keeping watch over what He has committed into your hand.

May we be patient enough to wait upon the Him even if He tarries in coming and the grace to stand until we receive answers be granted to each and every one of us in Jesus Name.  I have good news for you.

Beloved, there is an enroll going on in the body of Christ now, Christ is the recruiting manager. He is in the business of bring workers to the vineyard because the harvest is reap and the labours are few. None which His Father gave Him must be allowed to be spoilt in farm or get loss on the way, so He is as ever calling men to Himself.

However, the big question is are you available for this job. He pays well ofcourse but availability is the top most critical for the job opportunity. It not made for the unemployed alone but it also includes the CEO’s, Managing Directors, Manager, supervisors and trainees, it is for all strata beloved no exemption.

Let read more from the message below:

Going on a little farther, He saw James the son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in their boat mending their nets. Immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed Him.—Mark 1:19–20

We have a natural tendency to find our “comfort zone” and then position ourselves firmly in place. If you are in a situation or lifestyle where you are perfectly capable of handling everything, you have stopped growing in your understanding of God. God’s desire is to take you from where you are to where He wants you to be. You will always be one step of obedience away from the next truth God wants you to learn about Him.

You may experience a restlessness whereby you sense that there is far more you should be learning and experiencing about the Father. At times, this will mean that you should move to a new location or take a new job. It could indicate that you need a deeper dimension added to your prayer life. Perhaps you need to trust God to a degree you never have before.

The fishermen could not remain in their fishing boats and become apostles of Jesus Christ. Abraham was seventy-five years old when God gave him his major life assignment. These men had to disrupt their comfortable routine in order to reach new heights in their relationship with their Lord. Likewise, in order to experience God to the degree He wants you to, there will be adjustments He will ask of you.

Are you prepared for Christ to reveal Himself to you in dimensions that will change your life? Are you willing to abandon that which makes you comfortable?

And create extra time to pray, tell someone about Jesus, teach in Sunday school, go for prayer meetings, attain bible study. All this keep your oil running else you dry up and start experiencing knocking sounds like an engine without lubricant. Go out of your comfort zone today and do the extra for Jesus. We have our dominion through Christ.

Never mind how long you are born again or have been working in the vain yard. The message below is a warning that we must all adhere to. Let’s read more:

Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” 1Corinthians 10:12

It is a curious fact, that there is such a thing as being proud of grace. A man says, “I have great faith, I shall not fall; poor little faith may, but I never shall.” “I have fervent love,” says another, “I can stand, there is no danger of my going astray.” He who boasts of grace has little grace to boast of.

Some who do this imagine that their graces can keep them, knowing not that the stream must flow constantly from the fountain head, or else the brook will soon be dry. If a continuous stream of oil comes not to the lamp, though it burn brightly today, it will smoke tomorrow, and noxious will be its scent. Take heed that thou gloriest not in thy graces, but let all thy glorying and confidence be in Christ and His strength, for only so canst thou be kept from falling.

Be much more in prayer. Spend longer time in holy adoration. Read the Scriptures more earnestly and constantly. Watch your lives more carefully. Live nearer to God. Take the best examples for your pattern. Let your conversation be redolent of heaven. Let your hearts be perfumed with affection for men’s souls.

So live that men may take knowledge of you that you have been with Jesus, and have learned of Him; and when that happy day shall come, when He whom you love shall say, “Come up higher,” may it be your happiness to hear Him say, “Thou hast fought a good fight, thou hast finished thy course, and henceforth there is laid up for thee a crown of righteousness which fadeth not away.”

On, Christian, with care and caution! On, with holy fear and trembling! On, with faith and confidence in Jesus alone, and let your constant petition be, “Uphold me according to Thy word.” He is able, and He alone, “To keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.”

Beloved, be available for Christ and never in your life think that you can make it on your own. Always ask God to uphold you and learn more from Christ Who never think Himself of equal reputation with God but humbled Himself to die on the cross, so that you are I may come to the full knowledge of God and God exalted Him above all things. Be sober as you journey along and ask God to help you lest you fall. Allow Christ to reorient you on how to be part of this winning team.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

Stand Your Watch!

0

March 16

I am standing on the word of God, the word is power. I am standing on the word of God, the word is healing. I am standing on the word of God, the word of God is deliverance. I am standing on the Word of God, the Word of God is peace. Have Your way O! God in my life have your way O! God. Jesus have Your way, have Your way O God in my life have Your way O! God.

Gracious Father we thank You for You are our power, healer, our deliverance and our peace. How majesty are You Lord! Blessed be Thy Name O! God. We cannot thank You enough for Who You are and all Thy benefits to us. Thank You for the gift of life and peace around us. Glory be Thy Holy Name.

Beloveth are You standing watch? Again I ask “Are you standing watch?” Or maybe we should start with “who is a watchman (woman)? What does it entails to be one? A little look on our study text will give us a clue.

Interestingly many of us have security men or women at our doorpost probably that will give us another clue to the question.

Do you know the duties of these men and women at your doorpost? Before we get to level of whether they are faithful at it or not. Our topic today is calling on every believer to be enlist on this job.

Do you notice that they have special outfit or job kit for this job? It therefore means that it is not a job to be taken with levity or handle carelessly else there will be causality or victim due to negligence.

Now looking at our study text what do you observe? On my part, I saw a show of commitment and unrelenting position on the part of the watchman. It also showed that the watchman was patience and result oriented.

Beloved, this is a command from God and must be our top priority. I have an encounter recently I will like to share with you. For a while now, my six year old baby has been telling me mummy, I don’t want to go to school again, I want to be home with you and go with you anywhere you are going. On further enquiring, he will saying things like he will mention one of the classmate’s name that he hit his head or put his leg out while he was trying to walk across.

I made some observation from his statement that this is not a case of bulling, it is just an act common with children of that age bracket. This has been going on with different versions of story while he will not go to school. overtime I sense in my spirit that this not right and I started counselling him while he must be in school and what he stand to benefit after all the troubles of waking up so early as he once complained and all the rest.

I also by the way of prayer encouraged him and rebuked the forces behind this complain. I reassured him that soon he will graduate and work in a good organization with his immediate younger telling him things like “Udo, if you think that education is stressful try ignorance,” and we laughed over it.

Beloved, last week, on a Sunday, right there in the church, this boy had a fall while running around with other children that removed his teeth gum (two). My attention was called to the incident scene, I was taken aback from the sight before me. While I was taking him to the church clinic, I was asking God why He allowed this to be, immediately what flashed in my spirit man was the recent discussions I have been having with him lately. The devil was negotiating his future with me unknowing to me.

Beloved if I have not stood my ground to counsel and prayed with him, it would have been worst the Spirit of God witnessed to me. He gave me this verse in the bible Isa 59:19. We later prayed over him during the family altar, my husband threatening to beat him because of the incident but when I opened his eyes to what the Spirit of God told concerning the issue at hand, he held his peace.

On a Saturday after the incident, this same boy went and sat on a cloth hanger at the corridor outside and both came clashing on the floor and when I discovered what happen because he told his story since nobody was with him when it happened, I simply said between my breath” satan, you have lost the battle over this one” but this time he did not escape punishment.

Someone is saying evangelist, hope you are not spiritualizing this matter but my dear you cannot but take charge of your life and situation spiritually first, else Satan makes you a mix meat. God forbid.

Beloved, I want you to also know that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and the weapon of our warfare is not carnal either, if I have not prayed and the Spirit of God raising a standard against him when the enemy came in like a flood, probably what the devil was proposing and negotiating through him unknowing to me will have come to past (staying off school and going with me wherever I will be going). Imagine just that but on the physical it look not so. But God made me to be sensitive enough in the spirit to rebuke and reject it. Beloved, are you keeping watch?

That is why we must stand our watch else the devil crumble our life itinerary, God forbid. The big question now is “are you standing watch?” come let read more on this:

I will stand at my guard post

and station myself on the lookout tower.

I will watch to see what He will say to me

and what I should reply about my complaint.—Habakkuk 2:1

The watchman’s job was vital. An approaching army left residents of an ancient city precious little time to flee or to prepare for battle. Everyone’s life depended on the alert watchman as he peered into the horizon for the earliest glimpse of an approaching threat. It was critical that the people be alerted as soon as possible to what was coming.

As a Christian, God places you as a watchman for yourself, your friends, your family, and your church family. It is essential that you be attentive to what God is saying. It may be that a friend is in crisis and needs God’s word. As you study your Bible, God may choose to give you words of encouragement to share with your friend. It may be that as your children face difficult challenges, God will speak to you as you pray and reveal how you can help them. If you are spiritually alert, you may receive a warning from God that addresses specific dangers that those around you are facing.

If you are careless, on the other hand, your family may be struggling, but the answers God has for them will go unheard. If you are oblivious to God’s message, those around you may miss the encouraging promise from God that He wanted to share through you. God holds His watchmen accountable for their diligence (Ezek. 33:6). Strive to be attentive to every word that comes to you from God. Your diligence will benefit you and those around you as you heed God’s warnings and follow His commands.

Looking at this piece you can see that the job of a watchman is vital. If you are careless about it you read the implication in last paragraph, will you rather be careless or do it with all diligent? More discover:

I will take heed to my ways.” Psalm 39:1

Fellow-pilgrim, say not in your heart, “I will go hither and thither, and I shall not sin;” for you are never so out of danger of sinning as to boast of security. The road is very miry, it will be hard to pick your path so as not to soil your garments. This is a world of pitch; you will need to watch often, if in handling it you are to keep your hands clean.

There is a robber at every turn of the road to rob you of your jewels; there is a temptation in every mercy; there is a snare in every joy; and if you ever reach heaven, it will be a miracle of divine grace to be ascribed entirely to your Father’s power. Be on your guard. When a man carries a bomb-shell in his hand, he should mind that he does not go near a candle; and you too must take care that you enter not into temptation. Even your common actions are edged tools; you must mind how you handle them.

There is nothing in this world to foster a Christian’s piety, but everything to destroy it. How anxious should you be to look up to God, that He may keep you! Your prayer should be, “Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe.” Having prayed, you must also watch; guarding every thought, word, and action, with holy jealousy.

Do not expose yourselves unnecessarily; but if called to exposure, if you are bidden to go where the darts are flying, never venture forth without your shield; for if once the devil finds you without your buckler, he will rejoice that his hour of triumph is come, and will soon make you fall down wounded by his arrows.

Though slain you cannot be; wounded you may be. “Be sober; be vigilant, danger may be in an hour when all seemeth securest to thee.” Therefore, take heed to thy ways, and watch unto prayer. No man ever fell into error through being too watchful. May the Holy Spirit guide us in all our ways, so shall they always please the Lord.

Beloved, did you heard that “put on your shield and do not venture without your bucker, lest the devil sees you and rejoices over you.” Finally, watch it onto with prayer lest you fall- that is your job kit- bible, faith, etc. read up Eph 6:10-18.

May God uphold every reader of this devotional lest we fall in Jesus Name. Help us O! Lord even as we stand our watch in Jesus Name. Help us to discover all the antics of the enemy as we keep watch and do not let any sin have dominion over us in Jesus’s Name we do pray. Amen!!!!

Remain blessed in the Lord.

No Exceptions to Holiness

0

March 15

Everlasting Father, Everlasting son, Immortal Holy Ghost be thou glorify x2. Jesus Jesus You are the love of life. O Jesus! You are the love of my life x2.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for today, a blessed day indeed. Glory be to You God for we are life, healthy and full of vitality. Glory be to God. We are grateful Father for who You. Thank You Lord for upholding us despite the raging storms. Father, we thank You.

Beloved, do you read the topic above? There is no exception to holiness. Have you ever set a law in your house and you are the first offender? Or you punish a house helper or keeper for an offence which before long you committed same?

When God set a law for us it means that all must keep it, there is no exemption to it whether you are a Pastor, Teacher, a Bishop, a Sunday School teacher, Evangelist or Reverend, by whatever name you are called God see you as an individual and there is no exception to the rule. No excuse whatsoever. Sometime we want to justify why we are doing something wrong but the spirit of God will be chiding us if your consciousness is still alive.

God will not preserve any one for indolence or slothfulness neither will He preserve anyone in the area of sin. It is distasteful to Him.

Confess your sin and strive to live holy from now on. God will be happy with you and you will receive His fatherly blessings – Unending Joy through Christ.

Always remember that there is no exception to it, whatever your title is. Therefore, let us live holy and live right for without holiness on man shall see God.  More from the message:

On the trip, at an overnight campsite, it happened that the Lord confronted him and sought to put him to death.—Exodus 4:24

Moses had just received one of the greatest commissions in history. He was to be God’s instrument to deliver the nation of Israel and to guide it to the Promised Land. He was to lead them to become a kingdom of priests and a holy nation (Exod. 19:6). Yet Moses had not obeyed all of God’s commands himself, for he had never had his son circumcised. This was a long-standing command from God that Moses had ignored. God’s response was to prepare to kill Moses.

Here was one of history’s greatest men about to be put to death before ever performing the task God had set before him. Moses could not expect to blatantly ignore a command of God and still be used mightily in His divine work. Had not Moses quickly responded in obedience, he would surely have lost his life.

Moses learned that God makes no exceptions for holiness. When God sets forth a requirement of His people, He most certainly demands it of the leaders. God wanted to make Moses’ life a highway of holiness through which He could bring redemption to millions of people. God had to make some significant adjustments in the life of Moses before He would use him to lead His people.

Are you trying to serve God and yet ignore something He has told you to do? Are you living your life as if God does not notice your disobedience? Do you apply God’s standards to yourself as rigorously as you apply them to others?  Let’s consider further:

“Sin… exceeding sinful.” Romans 7:13

Beware of light thoughts of sin. At the time of conversion, the conscience is so tender, that we are afraid of the slightest sin. Young converts have a holy timidity, a godly fear lest they should offend against God. But alas! very soon the fine bloom upon these first ripe fruits is removed by the rough handling of the surrounding world: the sensitive plant of young piety turns into a willow in after life, too pliant, too easily yielding.

It is sadly true, that even a Christian may grow by degrees so callous, that the sin which once startled him does not alarm him in the least. By degrees men get familiar with sin. The ear in which the cannon has been booming will not notice slight sounds. At first a little sin startles us; but soon we say, “Is it not a little one?” Then there comes another, larger, and then another, until by degrees we begin to regard sin as but a little ill; and then follows an unholy presumption: “We have not fallen into open sin. True, we tripped a little, but we stood upright in the main.

We may have uttered one unholy word, but as for the most of our conversation, it has been consistent.” So we palliate sin; we throw a cloak over it; we call it by dainty names. Christian, beware how thou thinkest lightly of sin. Take heed lest thou fall by little and little. Sin, a little thing? Is it not a poison? Who knows its deadliness? Sin, a little thing?

Do not the little foxes spoil the grapes? Doth not the tiny coral insect build a rock which wrecks a navy? Do not little strokes fell lofty oaks? Will not continual droppings wear away stones? Sin, a little thing? It girded the Redeemer’s head with thorns, and pierced His heart! It made Him suffer anguish, bitterness, and woe.

Could you weigh the least sin in the scales of eternity, you would fly from it as from a serpent, and abhor the least appearance of evil. Look upon all sin as that which crucified the Saviour, and you will see it to be “exceeding sinful.”

Let us check our lives and make amend lest an angel of sought to put us to death. Beware of sin!!! God help us we pray Thee. Amen!!!!!!!!!!!

Remain blessed in the Lord.

Truth Is to Be Experienced

0

Worthy worthy is the Lord, worthy worthy is the Lord, worthy worthy is the Lord, praise the Lord. Who is like unto Thee O Lord! Who is like unto Thee, O Lord! Among the God’s Who is like Thee, You are glorious in holiness, fearful in praising, doing wonder, alleluia!

Heavenly Father we thank You for Who You are we bless Your holy Name, we exhaust You, we magnify You we give You praise we give You adoration we give You honour blessed be Your holy Name. Thank You Lord.

Thank You Lord for the gift of another week, we receive it with thanksgiving. May we see your glory as we walk through the path in Jesus Name. May Your love encompass us through the rough edge of each day and Your mercies deliver us from all evil in Jesus Name.

Sweet Jesus help us we pray Thee, let Your Name prevail in every circumstances we are facing right now in Jesus Name and may our joy be full through Your precious Name Amen!

Beloved, thank God for this bright day. Thank Him also for the days gone by. Still running the series of “knowing God” (wasn’t like a series initially but God has help us in digging and discovering more of Him). Praise God.

The topic today typify the nature of God. The truth about Him must be experienced. Until we experienced God, we will not acknowledge His Lordship over our prevailing circumstances.

Beloved, have you ever come a point in your life where you are at your wit end and suddenly God showed up and you are celebrated and the devil was beaten blue black by the miracle you experienced? I have many testimonies and I believe you have also. But there is a key to it.

Is possible why you are where you are today is because you have either loss the key or you have forgotten it?

Come with me as we remind ourselves once again the key to knowing God deeply:

When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.”—Luke 5:4

When Christ teaches you something about Himself, He implements it into your life through experience. As the crowds gathered around, Jesus chose to board Peter’s boat and teach the people from there. All day long Peter sat in the boat listening to Jesus teach the multitudes. At the close of His discourse, Jesus allowed Peter to experience the reality of what He had just been teaching the crowd. The crowd had heard the truth, but Peter was to experience it.

Jesus put His teaching into language a fisherman could understand. He told Peter to put out his nets into the deep water. Peter hesitated, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing.” Peter had been fishing all night, had washed and repaired his nets in the morning, and then listened to Jesus teach. He was tired. He probably was not expecting a dramatic encounter with God at a time like that. Yet, as Peter obeyed Jesus, he pulled in such a miraculous catch of fish that his boat almost sank! Peter was filled with amazement and recognized that he had just experienced the power of God (Luke 5:4–11).

Peter learned that with a command from Jesus, he could do anything. Thus, Jesus was able to reorder Peter’s priorities from catching fish to catching men (Luke 4:10). Peter’s obedience led to a dramatic new insight into the person of Jesus. This was an invitation to walk with Jesus in an even more intimate and powerful way.

God does not want you to merely gain intellectual knowledge of truth. He wants you to experience His truth. There are things about Jesus you will learn only as you obey Him. Your obedience will then lead to greater revelation and opportunities for service.

Beloved, you will be marvel at this:

“And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master’s table.” Matthew 15:27

This woman gained comfort in her misery by thinking GREAT THOUGHTS OF CHRIST. The Master had talked about the children’s bread: “Now,” argued she, “since Thou art the Master of the table of grace, I know that Thou art a generous housekeeper, and there is sure to be abundance of bread on Thy table; there will be such an abundance for the children that there will be crumbs to throw on the floor for the dogs, and the children will fare none the worse because the dogs are fed.

She thought Him one who kept so good a table that all that she needed would only be a crumb in comparison; yet remember, what she wanted was to have the devil cast out of her daughter. It was a very great thing to her, but she had such a high esteem of Christ, that she said, “It is nothing to Him, it is but a crumb for Christ to give.” This is the royal road to comfort.

Great thoughts of your sin alone will drive you to despair; but great thoughts of Christ will pilot you into the haven of peace. “My sins are many, but oh! it is nothing to Jesus to take them all away. The weight of my guilt presses me down as a giant’s foot would crush a worm, but it is no more than a grain of dust to Him, because He has already borne its curse in His own body on the tree. It will be but a small thing for Him to give me full remission, although it will be an infinite blessing for me to receive it.” The woman opens her soul’s mouth very wide, expecting great things of Jesus, and He fills it with His love.

Dear reader, do the same. She confessed what Christ laid at her door, but she laid fast hold upon Him, and drew arguments even out of His hard words; she believed great things of Him, and she thus overcame Him. SHE WON THE VICTORY BY BELIEVING IN HIM. Her case is an instance of prevailing faith; and if we would conquer like her, we must imitate her tactics.

Beloved, what are your findings? Do you discover from the above that the prevailing faith came from the fact that this woman knew that the healing she is seeking from Jesus is but a crumb in comparison to what Jesus stand for (Matt 15: 30- 39). Having that understanding, she also knew that it will be nothing for Him to part with even though she unworthy? So she press on and receive her miracle. You can tell the rest of the story having experience the Person of Christ even in an worthy state what will become of her.

How much do you know about Christ and the power in Him? Mind you that this woman is not born-again but you are. Do you think of Christ so highly to over your unpleasant situations or you bought into the lie of Satan that is not possible? No, God cannot do this one or you are going to perish in that sickness or financial condition will persist?

My prayer for as many that will be reading this devotional may they like Peter experience the truth in Christ and God our creator in Jesus’s Name. Praise God.

The key to experiencing the truth lies in “obedience”. Are you ready to stop reasoning God and start obey Him? Another key is “trusting”. Can you start trusting God now and experience His miracles?

Beloved, this week is declared blessed in Jesus Name. We will have testimonies come Friday to share in Jesus Name. Don’t give in but rather declare what you believe and desire from God as did the woman above. She did not allow the name- calling by Jesus to distract her nor did it make her bitter, she knew what she wanted from Christ and she went for it. Do likewise.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

My prayer for you is that you will no longer panic when issues of life arises rather knowing fully whom You are serving your faith becomes uncheckable. You will no longer belittle your God rather you will hold Him in High esteem because of what you know concerning Him. Praise God.

Beloved, our topic today calls for caution on our part even as God leads us to prosper in our works with Him. Let us be careful not to fail into the snare of devil. Read on:

On Loving The World

Never give your hearts to this world or to any of the things in itThe whole world-system(is) based on mens primitive desires, their greedy ambitions and the glamour of all that they THINK is splendid… ” (1 John 2:15, 16 – Phillips Translation)

But the glamour is alluring! We can identify with St. Augustine’s cry, “Give me chastity, but not yet.”

If the truth were out, many of us would have to admit that the WORLD’S GLAMOROUS ARE OUR CLOSET HEROES. We ogle their lifestyles which seem so smooth… leisurely, and in control.

Almost transcendent.

Perhaps they have mastered Lauren Hutton’s secret of success, “Never, ever let them see you sweat.”

Our lives, by contrast seem to muddle along amidst our rather tired and familiar surroundings of dirty laundry, unmowed lawns, and piles of unanswered mail.

James reminds us, however, that “flirting with the glamour of this world is akin to being the worlds lover, an unfaithful wife.” It is by our love of the world… by our spiritual adultery, that we become “an enemy of God.” (See James 4:4 – Phillips Translation)

Years ago I remember attending a Rotary Club meeting with the rich, the powerful and the beautiful of our town. These were the guys with the tailored pin stripe suits, Italian hand crafted shoes, and manicured nails. Cool. Polished. Together. Cultured. Or, so it seemed.

However, as the meal progressed I realized how many of these men I had privately counseled. And in those sessions, they had wept, pouted, and agonized over disintegrating marriages, rebellious kids, severe financial problems, and self-doubt over their professional abilities.

It is vital for us to understand that true fulfillment is found in the daily struggle with loving, giving, and forgiving amidst piles of laundry, raucous kids and rushed schedules. It is here that the authentic beauty of Christ’s character is being forged.

And the “glamorous” world can never match that! (Adapted from FOTM).

More caution here:

“In my prosperity I said I shall never be moved.” Psalm 30:6

“Moab settled on his lees, he hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel.” Give a man wealth; let his ships bring home continually rich freights; let the winds and waves appear to be his servants to bear his vessels across the bosom of the mighty deep; let his lands yield abundantly: let the weather be propitious to his crops; let uninterrupted success attend him; let him stand among men as a successful merchant; let him enjoy continued health; allow him with braced nerve and brilliant eye to march through the world, and live happily; give him the buoyant spirit; let him have the song perpetually on his lips; let his eye be ever sparkling with joy—and the natural consequence of such an easy state to any man, let him be the best Christian who ever breathed, will be presumption; even David said, “I shall never be moved;” and we are not better than David, nor half so good.

Brother, beware of the smooth places of the way; if you are treading them, or if the way be rough, thank God for it. If God should always rock us in the cradle of prosperity; if we were always dandled on the knees of fortune; if we had not some stain on the alabaster pillar; if there were not a few clouds in the sky; if we had not some bitter drops in the wine of this life, we should become intoxicated with pleasure, we should dream “we stand;” and stand we should, but it would be upon a pinnacle; like the man asleep upon the mast, each moment we should be in jeopardy.

We bless God, then, for our afflictions; we thank Him for our changes; we extol His name for losses of property; for we feel that had He not chastened us thus, we might have become too secure. Continued worldly prosperity is a fiery trial.

“Afflictions, though they seem severe,

In mercy oft are sent.”

Beloved, we serve all knowing God. Let Him guide us in the way that will lead us to eternal life. This is my conclusion I don’t know about you. May we never miss the mark in our quest for good living in Jesus Name. Mediate in all these things and as the Holy Spirit to leads you right.

See you next week by God’s grace!

Remain blessed in the Lord

“Have Faith in God.”

Thank Thanks we give You thanks for all You have done in my life, we are so blessed our souls has found rest O! God we give You thanks. Worthy, You are worthy, King of kings, Lord of Lords You are Worthy, Worthy You are worthy, King of kings, Lord of Lords, You are Worthy I worship You.

Blessed Redeemer, we worship You for Who You are. Thank You for lovingkindness towards us Your children, we are grateful to be called Your own. Blessed be Thy Holy Name forever and ever. Thank You for answers to prayers Lord, Whose Hand can do all things. Thank You for diverse miracles and healings that You wrought for us. Indeed You are a great God and Faithful is Your Name.

Beloved, how are doing this wonderful Thursday, good, I presuppose. Am glad to hear that and so shall it be all through this year in Jesus Name.  I want to believe that you prayed as we were instructed “To know God more dearly.” When this becomes your ernst desire, God will manifest Himself to you through the help of the Holy Spirit, Who reveal the truth about your salvation in Christ Jesus to you.

Our topic today was a discussion between Jesus and his disciples, Where He cursed the fig tree on their way from Bethany to Jerusalem and upon their return from same way Peter saw that the fig tree had withered away. It was against this background that today’s topic merged.

In other words, Jesus was telling His disciple “you need to know God.” Jesus knew His Father therefore He speak and believed it is done. Let’s consider the book of John eleven with reference to verse forty-one and forty-two, and He said “Father, I thank Thee that Thou has heard me. and I knew that thou hearest me always:… and cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.”

Beloved, did Lazarus came forth? Ofcourse He did. If I may ask you “why did this happened? Is because Jesus had faith? I am hearing many chorus answers. But let me give you my own answer but if you disagree, you can write in your own opinion. My answer to this miracle is because “Jesus Knows His Father.” His knowledge about His Father emboldens Him to speak and His Father confirms His Word. So His faith in God, His Father is not on assumption but on the assurance that it will done.

Beloved, why we something fail in our quest is because we are yet to know our God. We ask with wavering mind, we ask amiss, not with strong believe that it shall been done. But when you know who God is and what He does, you will always make declaration with boldness and not petitions with fear. Praise God.

God has taught me a lot in this area in my journey with Him. Before now I used to very afraid to desire something not to talk of asking for it even in prayer especially when I don’t have money to back it up. However, each time I am face with a need and I go conversing with God about it.

Someone is surprise at this statement, but you need not to be if you have been following me all these years, this is the fourth year of this ministry (devotional), your prayer time is not only “give me this and give me that time” your prayer should include discussion, meditation, studying, reading, praise and worship, all these are kinds of prayers.

The Spirit of God speak to your mind when you are doing all I have listed above and more, so is not only when you are sweating and wresting that you are praying, even in carrying out charitable acts, they are all prayers, my dearly beloved. Knowing God is so sweet and stress free.  It take away anxiety from you. Things are yet to be done, yet you are not worried because you know that if it is a true need God will do it.

So back to my experience of who God is, in midst of our conversion the Spirit of God will ask me “what do you want? Name what you want and it is done, and so many other times that has been my experience “I will say my heart desire concerning the issue on ground and God will bring it to pass.  He will direct my feet and my thought till is be done not only things that involved money but in so many other things like that I need His help. Having come to that knowledge of God, I have learnt to lay my needs before Him and once I receive an open cheque which is usually the case I am careful in filling it.

So until you know who God is on every matter concerning you, your faith will yet be strong. You will see yourself panting and fretting over issues in life.

Let consider the message as we continue in our devotion today:

Have faith in God.” Mark 11:22

Faith is the foot of the soul by which it can march along the road of the commandments. Love can make the feet move more swiftly; but faith is the foot which carries the soul. Faith is the oil enabling the wheels of holy devotion and of earnest piety to move well; and without faith the wheels are taken from the chariot, and we drag heavily.

With faith I can do all things; without faith I shall neither have the inclination nor the power to do anything in the service of God. If you would find the men who serve God the best, you must look for the men of the most faith. Little faith will save a man, but little faith cannot do great things for God.

Poor Little-faith could not have fought “Apollyon;” it needed “Christian” to do that. Poor Little-faith could not have slain “Giant Despair;” it required “Great-heart’s” arm to knock that monster down. Little faith will go to heaven most certainly, but it often has to hide itself in a nut-shell, and it frequently loses all but its jewels.

Little-faith says, “It is a rough road, beset with sharp thorns, and full of dangers; I am afraid to go;” but Great-faith remembers the promise, “Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; as thy days, so shall thy strength be:” and so she boldly ventures.

Little-faith stands desponding, mingling her tears with the flood; but Great-faith sings, “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee:” and she fords the stream at once.

Would you be comfortable and happy? Would you enjoy religion? Would you have the religion of cheerfulness and not that of gloom? Then “have faith in God.” If you love darkness, and are satisfied to dwell in gloom and misery, then be content with little faith; but if you love the sunshine, and would sing songs of rejoicing, covet earnestly this best gift, “great faith.”

In Genesis one, we saw God says and came to past. Today God is looking for that man and woman who know Him, believe in Him to confirm their word even as they say it. Beloved may be the next message will do some little help:

“lt is better to trust in the Lord, than to put confidence in man.” Psalm 118:8

Doubtless the reader has been tried with the temptation to rely upon the things which are seen, instead of resting alone upon the invisible God. Christians often look to man for help and counsel, and mar the noble simplicity of their reliance upon their God. Does this evening’s portion meet the eye of a child of God anxious about temporals, then would we reason with him awhile.

You trust in Jesus, and only in Jesus, for your salvation, then why are you troubled? “Because of my great care.” Is it not written, “Cast thy burden upon the Lord”? “Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication make known your wants unto God.” Cannot you trust God for temporals? “Ah! I wish I could.” If you cannot trust God for temporals, how dare you trust Him for spirituals?

Can you trust Him for your soul’s redemption, and not rely upon Him for a few lesser mercies? Is not God enough for thy need, or is His all-sufficiency too narrow for thy wants? Dost thou want another eye beside that of Him who sees every secret thing? Is His heart faint? Is His arm weary? If so, seek another God; but if He be infinite, omnipotent, faithful, true, and all-wise, why gaddest thou abroad so much to seek another confidence?

Why dost thou rake the earth to find another foundation, when this is strong enough to bear all the weight which thou canst ever build thereon? Christian, mix not only thy wine with water, do not alloy thy gold of faith with the dross of human confidence. Wait thou only upon God, and let thine expectation be from Him.

Covet not Jonah’s gourd, but rest in Jonah’s God. Let the sandy foundations of terrestrial trust be the choice of fools, but do thou, like one who foresees the storm, build for thyself an abiding place upon the Rock of Ages.

The Rock that never fails. The Everlasting foundation. All other ground is sinking sand but Jesus is a solid ground. Beloved, Know Him, Trust in Him, Believe in Him and have Faith in Him and He will surely be God indeed to you. God is saying “fear not; have faith in Me.

Remain blessed in the Lord.

I have a joy, My Saviour has given me, the Joy of salvation, the Joy deliverance. I have a joy, My Saviour has given me, the Joy of salvation, Joy every day. O! Joy Joy Joy every day, Happy happy happy Joy everyday 2x. Jesus what a Wonder You are, You are so gentle, so good and so kind, You Who shine like a bright morning star Jesus what a Wonder You are.

Father, You are indeed a Wonder, You are a Faithful God, there is none like Thee. Thank You Father for sparing us for yet another day. Thank You for the gift of life and vitality, the strength that is from You. Thank You for the gift of homes, career, businesses and ministries Lord we are ever grateful to You alone in Jesus Name.

Beloved, what a beautiful day we have ahead of us today. Thank You Jesus, thank You Jesus. The joy of the Lord is our strength dearie beloved, His salvation is forever sure. Another opportunity to seek God’s face in prayer is here again and we must make the best of it.

Before we get into business of the day, I just want to ask you a simply but interesting question “Do you know your God?” or putting it in a better perspective “Do you know God?”

What you know about a subject, an object, a person, or whatsoever be it goes a long way to guide you in relationship with same.  Sometime you are meeting an individual for the frist time and he or she is so aggressive to you and you being to wonder what is going on. Only to discover that the attitude being meted to you was on some information this person had before your encounter. Sometime it might be the opposite and you are wondering also while is person so nice to me.

Same way, what you know about God matters a lot in your relationship with Him. We all encountered God in different circumstance at new birth or when you got born-again. Those experiences to a greater extend form your opinion and effects your relationship with Him also. Remember the story of the five blind men and the elephant?

It is so important that we take out time to know God through prayer, discussions, reading the bible and most especially asking Him to reveal Himself to you by whatever means that you may truly know Him.

As you will later also discover in today’s devotion, if there is any aspect of Him you are yet to experience, desire it and seek after it rather than discountenancing the truth. Tell Him what your heart desires are and He will bring it to past.

Oftentimes we belittle our God and make Him so small and believe the lie of Satan. My prayer for you that after today you will begin to have an encounter with God and begin to know Him more than ever before. Know Him though His Might works, Great deliverance, Restorations and Divest manifold blessings of the Lord that will come your way.

This third month of the year will do you good and take you where you least expected in Jesus Name. Come along with Me to discover more:

This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God,

and the One You have sent—Jesus Christ.—John 17:3

Knowing God through experience is radically different than knowing about God from a theology textbook. According to the Bible, you cannot say you know God unless you have experienced Him (Phil. 3:8, 10). Biblical knowledge always involves experience. You may become discouraged because the truths you read about in the Bible are much richer than the reality of your own experience.

If you have not experienced God’s power at work in and through your life, do not settle for a secondhand knowledge of God’s power, rejoicing in what He has done in others. Jesus’ prayer was that you would come to know God and His presence in your life and experience. Don’t discount the power of God as described in Scripture simply because you have not experienced it. Bring your experience up to the standard of Scripture, never reduce Scripture to the level of your experience.

Don’t settle for a head knowledge of God’s love. Jesus prayed that you would experience the depth and width and height of His love and that you would enjoy God’s full and unending love in the day-to-day experiences of your life.

If you sense there are biblical truths that you are not experiencing, keep that truth before you and ask God to bring it into your everyday experience. Ask God if there are any adjustments you need to make in order to receive His promise. Don’t give up on the promises of God, stay with them until you are fully experiencing them.

Did you hear that, don’t give up but stay on with those promises until you fully experience it. There is so much in God that this piece cannot exhaust however, stay on with what you want from God till it becomes your portion or loses it holds upon your life too. Knowing God also talk about the Trinity. Jesus is our salvation, I hope you know that my dear:

“Say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.” Psalm 35:3

What does this sweet prayer teach me? It shall be my evening’s petition; but first let it yield me an instructive meditation. The text informs me first of all that David had his doubts; for why should he pray, “Say unto my soul, I am thy salvation,” if he were not sometimes exercised with doubts and fears? Let me, then, be of good cheer, for I am not the only saint who has to complain of weakness of faith.

If David doubted, I need not conclude that I am no Christian because I have doubts. The text reminds me that David was not content while he had doubts and fears, but he repaired at once to the mercy-seat to pray for assurance; for he valued it as much fine gold. I too must labour after an abiding sense of my acceptance in the Beloved, and must have no joy when His love is not shed abroad in my soul. When my Bridegroom is gone from me, my soul must and will fast.

I learn also that David knew where to obtain full assurance. He went to his God in prayer, crying, “Say unto my soul I am thy salvation.” I must be much alone with God if I would have a clear sense of Jesus’ love. Let my prayers cease, and my eye of faith will grow dim. Much in prayer, much in heaven; slow in prayer, slow in progress.

I notice that David would not be satisfied unless his assurance had a divine source. “Say unto my soul.” Lord, do Thou say it! Nothing short of a divine testimony in the soul will ever content the true Christian. Moreover, David could not rest unless his assurance had a vivid personality about it. “Say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.”

Lord, if Thou shouldst say this to all the saints, it were nothing, unless Thou shouldst say it to me. Lord, I have sinned; I deserve not Thy smile; I scarcely dare to ask it; but oh! say to my soul, even to my soul, “I am thy salvation.” Let me have a present, personal, infallible, indisputable sense that I am Thine, and that Thou art mine.

Are you making that a prayer right away? Are praying to know Him better than you have ever done before now. Beloved, Enoch walked with God and was translated into heaven alive. How far do you know your God? The extend you know Him keep you stable even in the storm. So never mind if are storms around, the goodnews is that you will overcomer and that is where we stand – “OVERCOMERS BY FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS.

Today as declared earlier is gonna be good for you as you go through. Know God and be an overcomer though His Son and with the help of the Holy Spirit in Jesus Name I pray!!!! Remember God is the builder of all things, therefore nothing is too difficult for Him to do for you (Heb 3:4; Phil 4:19).

Remain ever blessed in the Lord.

…………Now Is the Acceptable Time

Thank You, thank You Lord, thank You Lord thank You Lord for everything You have done. Great is the faithfulness, Great is Thy Faithfulness morning by morning new mercies I see, all that I needed Thy hands has provided, Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto Thee.

Great indeed is Thy Faithfulness Lord. Thank You for this great day You have created and said we shall rejoices and be glad in it. We are most grateful that we can move our body, we can pass our waste without help, Father we are entirely grateful to You Lord. Thank You for watching us all through the night and fighting every secret battle the enemy is wedging against us. Receive all glory and adoration in Jesus Name

Beloved, are you joining me in thanking God for this great favour. Only Him can bring this to pass, free of charge and without delay. Your Father is not limited by time, space or distance. He is everywhere at all time. Sometimes we limit our God by our human thoughts, thinking that why God is yet to answer us is because there is a long queue in front and before it will get to our turn possible what we are asking will be exhausted, so often times we try to help ourselves.

Know you today that our God is Mighty. He has no beginning; He has no end. He is everlasting. So rest in Him and you are secured.

You must be born-again was our key emphasis in yesterday discussion and I have a strong conviction that so many who are yet to come to Christ did accept Him but if you are yet to take a decision I also believe the Holy Spirit will help you to take that decision as we are also going to look into why it is important to do so. Today we will be considering “Acceptable time.”

When God calls you or send you, when is it right to obey Him? In our topic, we have it written as “Now” but I don’t know if you agree with it or you have a different answer.

What we will be considering today is “Now is the acceptable time” however if you have a different opinion, please do let us know and we will consider it along and draw a conclusion favour of any using bible as our guide but before we start receiving your opinions, come let us consider what God is saying to us. Praise God:

…………Now Is the Acceptable Time

The Spirit of the Lord God is on Me, because the Lord has anointed Me

to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and freedom to the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of our God’s vengeance; to comfort all who mourn.—Isaiah 61:1–2

God’s timing is perfect! When He speaks, the time to respond in obedience is now. We often act as if we have all the time in the world to obey Him, but history doesn’t wait on our commitments. There is no such thing as postponing a decision with God. Either we obey, or we disobey. It is either faith or unbelief, obedience or disobedience.

When God announces that now is the acceptable time, what you do next is critical. How often people have been unprepared when a word came to them from the Lord. God said, “Now is the time for you to respond to Me” and their response was, “But I’m not ready. I have some things I need to do first. I’m too busy!” (Matt. 8:21). God’s timing is always perfect. He knows you, and He is fully aware of your circumstances. He knows all that He has built into your life until now, and He extends His invitation knowing that His resources are more than adequate for any assignment He gives you.

That is why Scripture tells us God is concerned with our heart. If we do not keep our heart in love with Jesus, our disobedience when God speaks could affect the lives of others. When God speaks it is always out of the context of eternity. We don’t have to know all the implications of what He is asking. We just have to know that it is a word from almighty God. “Now” is always the acceptable time to respond to the Lord!

Moses in the book of Deuteronomy told us how to be in readiness to say “yes” to God. He instructed us thus “Thou shalt love the Lord Thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. And with all thy Might. He also commanded us to put these words in our heart and teach it to our children.

We talk about it while sittest in thine house, walkest by the way, and when thou liest down and thou risest up. He did not stop there. He instructed us to bind them on our hand, and in the front of thine eyes. Write them on the post of the house, and on thy gates (Deut 6: 5-9).

Beloved, when you diligently obey all these, you don’t need to struggle about obey God. Why? Because you are in constant fellowship with Him, obeying Him will not be any issue to you at all.

Looking at the next text you see that when you diligently doing what is listed above, beloved, you will not let sleep in your eyes that will make you slumber. Is a warming to us, please let adhere to it.

“Let us not sleep, as do others.” 1Thessalonians 5:6

There are many ways of promoting Christian wakefulness. Among the rest, let me strongly advise Christians to converse together concerning the ways of the Lord. Christian and Hopeful, as they journeyed towards the Celestial City, said to themselves, “To prevent drowsiness in this place, let us fall into good discourse.” Christian enquired, “Brother, where shall we begin?” And Hopeful answered, “Where God began with us.” Then Christian sang this song—

“When saints do sleepy grow, let them come hither,

And hear how these two pilgrims talk together;

Yea, let them learn of them, in any wise,

Thus to keep open their drowsy slumb’ring eyes.

Saints’ fellowship, if it be managed well,

Keeps them awake, and that in spite of hell.”

Christians who isolate themselves and walk alone, are very liable to grow drowsy. Hold Christian company, and you will be kept wakeful by it, and refreshed and encouraged to make quicker progress in the road to heaven. But as you thus take “sweet counsel” with others in the ways of God, take care that the theme of your converse is the Lord Jesus.

Let the eye of faith be constantly looking unto Him; let your heart be full of Him; let your lips speak of His worth. Friend, live near to the cross, and thou wilt not sleep. Labour to impress thyself with a deep sense of the value of the place to which thou art going. If thou rememberest that thou art going to heaven, thou wilt not sleep on the road.

If thou thinkest that hell is behind thee, and the devil pursuing thee, thou wilt not loiter. Would the manslayer sleep with the avenger of blood behind him, and the city of refuge before him? Christian, wilt thou sleep whilst the pearly gates are open—the songs of angels waiting for thee to join them—a crown of gold ready for thy brow?  Ah! no; in holy fellowship continue to watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation.

Beloved, depart from iniquities and run to obtain your crown of glory which will be given you at the end. Hold sweet fellowship with one another, don’t play alone ranger in Kingdom’s affair. Don’t isolate yourself nor be holy than thou. Because where you are going is a mansion, how lonely it will be if you will be there alone. It will be boring too, so bring others to Christ and make the journey a sweet one as you chat along, sing, and mediate in all you need to get to heaven (Phil 3:17).

Beloved, Apostle Paul was sure of where he is going while here on earth (1 Cor 9: 26-27). What is happening to us? You here things like this “is only God that know those who are His”. “Is only God that knows if I will go to heaven and many like that. But this beloved Apostle and his likes knew where they were going. They are so sure and convinced that heaven is their final abode.

Let me conclude with Phil 3:20-21, we are upward looking and heaven is our destination, there, these our mortal bodies will be change into a glorious one. Am sure you will not want to miss out on that.

So get born again. When? Now! And don’t fall into slumber as walk along, loitering is not allowed either.

Remain blessed in the Lord
